Good stuff. I would never use an impact on gear like that. Always a "drill" with a clutch turned down to as low a value as works, so it will not break stuff at limit. Way too much use of impacts where a clutched drill is way more appropriate. The mods are VERY valuable though, and thank you for that!
Instead of bringing an otherwise useless handle for your "jack". Why not make a handle for a an inexpensive harbor freight beaker bar and use a 3" extension. Now you have a tool to help you remove stuck nuts and operate your jack.
I guarantee you will fuck up the gears by using the impact. I have a snowmobile lift that has a screw jack on it.. I messed up the worm gear by using an impact.

I would be afraid that an impact would damage the gears, and opt for a drill in 1st gear.
