Very nice work as always B.B... 2 things I wished I had learned to do when I was younger is welding and operating a lathe... See you next video.. Take care my friend and God Bless...
I believe the usual method for belt sanding is to have a bucket of water nearby to cool the part. Gloves dont half make me nervous given the possibility of dragging hands in to mechanisms.
The only thing about the version you made that i think could be improved upon outside of the knurling for the handle at some point, would be the "mating surfaces" of the jaws themselfs, now they seem to meet at a "point" at the top, which might cause them to leave markings if you tighten too much or if the item you're holding is softer than the jaws themselves. Making them meet on either a flatter and equal angle might help with that. I would also consider with the current jaw-angles to round out the "top" of each jaw surface, so that they don't meet at a "point" if you do indeed want to keep the current angle of the mating surfaces. Mind you, I am NOT a machinist, nor do i work in a tool-shop, these are just the thought of a guy who've seen far too many tool-videos on TH-cam with little real-life experience on the matter when it comes to this. Dear god i'm sounding like such a wannabe know-it-all when i read this back to myself...
Love the video and this awesome tool. Beautiful work! Only thing I didn't like was seeing long sleeves near a lathe. 😑 I've seen too many videos of people getting sucked into their lathe with horrifying results.
Отличная работа. На мой взгляд насечки на рукояти не хватает. P.S. У меня такие же, только заводского изготовления. Я в них часто сам надфиль зажимаю, как в рукоять.
you have so smooth and calming voice, i just cant understand, why do you all young people move and swing so much with your hands while talking? just watch your video, does moving your hands that much makes you look natural or like a clown? great project as always, keep them coming...

Beautiful tool. And one of the best shot and edited "make a tool" videos I've ever seen.
Very nicely done.
That is really neat and well built Mr. B. I’d be glad to buy the short version prototype!! Really neat. Thank you.
From USA!!
Incredibly cool build. Thanks for the video.
Great craftsmanship skills
I want one please... That one there in the video would be fine!
We all have our vices
Actively looked for a comment that took the opportunity to make this pun. Satisfying.
A lovely vise that works really well. Excellent job and thanks for sharing.

This is so nerdy, I love it.

The vice you got from a flea market is a piano tuners vice, probably from the early 20th century or late 19th
Another nice vise you could try making is one where the jaws are always parallel.
Buy or make(its simple its 4 peace part ) a spring loaded tap follower ,it will make your life easier.
Nicely done! That is an AWESOME hand vice! 🥳🥳🥳
Nicely done, great videos as always. You take a look at specialist engraving vices, really interesting design.
Good job mister beautifully done
Lots of love from Bangladesh ❤❤❤
I'm lazy. I bought such a vise on Aliexpress.
Good work, beautiful product.
Came out amazing!! Looks great!

Он же в конце сказал, что нет пока инструмента для накатки, но сделает позже.
@maxmidas я это видимо пропустил, спасибо.
The antique one, was it used for wire pulling, drawing thru a die?
lovely work. The blueing liquid must have cost a fortune in that size. Where/what did you buy for the blueing liquid or did you make it?
ХОРОША РОБОТА !
Please please, make some to sell!!
top
What is that flapping sound in the background?!??!
I think it's his heartbeat through the microphone.
This is not a vise. It is a tap holder (to cut threads) and drill holder (hand drill).
Like immediato ;)
You have a tool on the wall that totally replaced this thing.
I'm going to guess the crescent wrench
👍🏽
Why didn't you give it a nice wooden handle?
это тиски для свёрл. у меня есть такие

Have you ever watched a native Italian talk?
You're the CLOWN here.
@@jonmoreno9703 oh look the simp showed up... dude, i am just giving positive criticism, whats your point? are you defending him? from what? 🤣🤦♂
You often talk to 2+ million people in your non native language?
”Young people”. Also what’s wrong with having a personality and be more expressive?
