    I am a MOBA dota 2 player , and it was super easy for me to switch from D-pad to Hitbox, because of the QWER letters of keyboard use in MOBA's in general. Pretty cool thing. I always liked fighting games but played casually, I want to go ranked and have fun now

    It depends on what systems require compatibility and how you feel about the overall size of the unit and feel of those stock buttons, but to me, a branded Hitbox seems a bit inefficient in terms of what you get. It's a simple enclosure and doesn't have quite the portability of the Snackbox Micro or the MPress, and don't these all just use Brook PS4 boards? So even if you like the size, you may as well go for a $250+shipping custom build for the more personalized layout/art/aesthetics/different button brand unless you need something off-the-shelf and ready to go right now. 🤷

    A lot has changed recently. You can do any of the following....
    1] Get a Brook Converter
    -Wingman FGC
    2] PCB / motherboard swap to the Brook Universal Fighting Board Fusion or the Brook PS5 Plus
    3] If you have a Brook Universal Fighting Board or a Brook PS4 + install the Brook UFB-UP5 Daughterboard.
    The biggest one is good if you want to be able to play anywhere on any console. This is because it's so big that you can modify it into oblivion.
    I have 2 Hitbox controllers. In my second one for example, I have a Universal Fighting Board, a Retro Board, and a UFB-UP5 in mine. I used the multiplier kit to combine them. There are additional holes I cut in the sides. It has 3 additional buttons, a USB-C secured port, and an RJ-45 port.
    The RJ-45 port goes to the Retro Board, and the USB-C port goes to the Universal Fighting Board.
    With this setup, I can use all the following consoles...
    =Retro Board
    PS1-2, NES, SNES, Gamecube, N64, Saturn, Dreamcast, Turbografx16, PC [X-input], 3dO, Xbox, Xbox 360 and that's just what I remember off the top of my head
    =Brook UFB
    PS3-5 [I have the UFB-UP5], Xbox One, PC, Switch, and almost every other console that uses USB ports to attach controllers to the device. This makes the large Hitbox the best choice [although Brook converters have a lot to say contesting this...].

    Thanks for the video. Are you also planning on getting the Victrix FS 12? Would love to see an in-depth comparison between all of the button boxes/leverless controllers you have.

      At some point yes I would love to test it out and compare all of them!

    It’s not a screw connection on the cable. Just pull back the housing of the connection and it comes right off. I think if you screw it too much you will damage the connector.

    Do you still think the hitbox is better then the snack box been thinking about getting the micro xl or a fightbox aka hitbox clone

    • @HKsmash
      @HKsmash  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've been using the snackbox more as of now. I think when it comes to how you play, (on a desktop vs on your lap) the hitbox might thrive a bit more here. Want to test out of the other products still.

    Isn’t the lack of native PS5 support gonna be an issue going forward?

    • @HKsmash
      @HKsmash  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can be. However I do hope tournament standard will be PC which will allow more controller options. You can mod it with the correct board when its available. I do agree the native support will be an issue for a lot.

      @@HKsmash CEO just announced that SF6 will be played on PS5, so……yeah.

      @@Neoxon619 I'm aware. Likely came down to costs and ease of access at the expense of some folks having to get new brooks or adapters to make it work.

      @@Neoxon619 This might require confirmation once SF6 comes out but...
      All titles that share both a Ps4 and PS5 version should be able to use the hitbox, if you launch the game in PS4 compatibility mode you should be able to play with the Hitbox.
      Better wait until the game comes out and you can get confirmation on this, but that's how it should work.

    Which one is better for desk play? I'd probably put it on my desk more than my lap

      Micro is like a keyboard and better for desk play

    Still so much to learn about this controller, are you getting one?

      I am about to get the CrossIUp, but I am also eying the Victrix fs 12 simply because it has more room to rest hands.
