A great insight. Thank you. I remember as a teenager in the mid 80’s to 91 and further, just loving going to all new car shows and also the older ones where I’d spend hours polishing and preparing 1 of 6 Lincoln Continentals 1966, with Fords largest production V8 at 462 cubic inches with the standard rear suicide doors.

The Genesis booth was so fun. Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis were the stars of this year's show. The lamest booth is Infiniti, even though they have the new QX80. Hyundai even had their very own track on the showroom floor where you can have a joyride in their EVs. Genesis and Hyundai had these comfy lounges to hangout, free coffee, and get to play Gran Turismo 7. The new Magma models also attracted a lot of people.

Well first of all this should be the New York SUV show. I think these shows need to be phased out. There is no variety from different brands most car brands don't exist any more like pontiac, SAAB, Saturn, Suzuki etc. Ford and Gm don't make cars anymore. Dodge and Chrylser is non existent. There is nothing available in the auto market. Then hatchbacks, sport sedans, sports cars and convertibles are gone what is there to see at an auto show?

American cars just big, no individuality. You can call it ford, Chevrolet, gmc, ram, Toyota, just big heavy truck. Solution to Global warming crisis.

Why are you coming to an AMERICAN car show and complaining about every car that isn't coming to Australia? Lame.

Because I’m an Australian motoring journalist producing content for Australian buyers. Why are you getting defensive? Any complaints are directed at the Australian distributors, not at American arms who don’t generally know or care what comes to Australia.

@@chasingcars not defensive - just at a loss for words when the title of this video is "36 most important new cars of NYAS" and the focus was really more on "what new cars are not coming to Australia?"

Dude... You have a lot of China shills in your comments... The most I've seen on a video that doesn’t directly address a Chinese or CCP...well...anything. Just an observation. I wonder why they are so active on your video... Is it your channel? The video topic? The fact that you are Australian? The fact that you were not talking shit about the US? Could be any or all of the above I suppose. IDK... Interesting though.
Secondarily, was that auto show completely dead or what? I've not seen a convention center that dead since...well...maybe I shouldn’t compare since you obviously have some commentors that would be offended (and mysteriously end up with a computer virus) Let's just say, that convention looks super dead... Perhaps it is a good analogy for the US car market as a whole right now.
