You do realise this man asked the question 7 years ago and you’re answering it now.😂 also I only trail ride and I change oil every 8 hours and oil filter every second oil change and my bike runs primo so I don’t know what your on about.
Engine oil and transmission oil doesn’t share the same viscosity and same oil standards, there’s differences between gears lubrification and engine lubrification, it’s not the same mechanical constraints
i have an 07 250r i change my oil about every 4-6 hours transmission every 5-8 hours oil filter every oil change and allways check oil levels before every major trip keep the engine clean around any bolts/caps you remove soo you know if their is a leak and keeps objects like dirt out of engine
idk much about bikes or engines and im trying to learn. so since its a 4 stroke why would it have oil? I thought only 2 strokes had oil. sorry if i sound stupid im trying to learn
Phillip Bass I have opened mine a few times and its not very hard, I would say my mechanical skills are a better than the average person if that helps.
kick the bike when the drail bolts are out a few times, but remember to do this steady and hold the kill switch in.
that is one fine ass bike....
This is probably the most helpful vid out there
How often should I change the oil in a crf250r I only use it for trail ride
4-6 hours

@@Nate-sr2op He blew up 6 years ago...
@@Nate-sr2op10-15 is fine
The transmission oil is cheaper than the engine oil ,that's why he puts a different oils.

So we learnt how to relieve the motor of its engine oil, but not how to fill it up? Hey at least the gearbox has oil...
He shows how to fill it up
I was thinking the same thing Striped lmao
Yep. He shows filling the trans. He never shows filling the engine.
Exactly
Prob because the engine oil is common sense lol
i do mine every 2 rides.. sometimes every ride depending on the amount of clutching i do.
When should I change the oil buying the bike from new ?
How often should I change oils after that ?
I have a CRF 230 and a CRF 110
Well made and appreciated 👍
Best and straight to the point video out!!! Great job
i have an 07 250r

All internal combustion engines need lubricating oil in them. 4stroke has the oil in the engine while 2stroke needs it mixed with the fuel.
Can I use 10w40 on both the clutch and engine ?
Mc Kraken im wondering the same thing cause my 07 manual says to run the same for both engine and trans but i see everyone using different for trans
no use honda pro or the one he showed here for your trans fluid because it provides better life support for your clutches
hi I'm wondering what this part is called?
how much oil you need to pour?
How much engine oil? And i have the same bike but my filter wasn't there.. does that matter
How do you know when you need to change your oil? like how often is neccessary ?
Might be abitlate now (8 years) but most change every few rides.
@@sonnyodare9338 legend has it this guy hasn't changed his oil in 9 years cause he didn't know the intervals
I want to see him crank it up and ride it like he left it. Bet the engine wont last 10 minutes. This is why I do my work on my own bikes.
I'm sure he knows his stuff as he is paid to do this as a professional !
Oh ya it’ll last for more than 10 min. I would know! I ran my 2017 crf250r for 5.5 hours without engine oil
shouldn't you drain one at a time to check and see if there is anything in the motor.
is this the exact same way to change for 2006 crf250r ? I'm picking the bike up in a few days and wanted to know.. thanks.
Motoxryder247 I've got on and yeah it's exactly the same, just don't know how much oil the engine takes
Is there a tappet screen to clean out?
i might be getting a 04 250r honda with a 06 engine how hard is it to do a left side crank case replacment?
Phillip Bass I have opened mine a few times and its not very hard, I would say my mechanical skills are a better than the average person if that helps.
Ok thanks I probably have done 3 different bike rebuilds but never a bottom end
Ya i have a 06 completly rebuilt, id say the top end is more difficult, i had the vavles done at a shop
How much ml gearbox and engine oil?
He forgot to mention that you need to get the oil warm by starting the bike for a few min...
he says that at the end of the video?
+Haiden McGrath no when you are emptying the oil lol
+Dane Sabo warm oil flows easier
It helps, but you don’t NEED to
Would this Lucas 10W40 be fine for my 2021 CRF250R
thats what i run mate
dont have to have 80/85 for transmission. you can have the same oil for both. cheaper also
you fucktard
+ReFz crypto The manual states to use 10W-30 or 10W-40 (depending on temperature) in the transmission. Check for yourself.
is this the same for the crf 150r?
Need those graphics.
I need a mechanic, that bike is so clean
You should run the bike for about three min to warm up the oil. Before you do anything...
Thx for the tipp
what years its the same spots?
12-17 I think
works on an 2014 same way ?
+MxBoii222 Yes it does
Good video.
Great video
thanks mate, your video are super
Dude u didn’t show us when u filled the oil.
It should be and if not close enough!
oil 10w30????
yea my 2009 crf250r manual says 10w30 but it 10w40 isnt that much of a difference
Clouds how often do you change you oil and transmission oil?
charles calunod I think the manual says every 8-9 hours or every two rides
is it the same for a 2006 250x
Nik Lombardi most bikes will be similar but refer to your owners manual
After about how many hours should u change the oil
Nice bike !
No more than 6hrs. And change the oil filter too
hmm im surprised he didnt put in synthetic oil
Didnt even mention how much oil is needed
when you know that you must to change the oil ?
I do mine about every 24 hours of riding.
But I just trail ride. If you race do it after every race or every other race.
Cole Kinnibrugh holy fucking shit, 24 HOURS? atleast do it every 4 hours
Do not run that transmission oil I have got the exact same and it’s the wrong stuff for your bike my bike has seized due to it
nope totally different bikes
Thank you
The fuck my 06' doesn't have an oil filter
Pointless how to video lol
hi I'm wondering what this part is called?
Is it almost the same on a crf150r?
yes, infact the drain plugs are in the exact same spots.
