Would like to see a video on changing the spark plug on this same bike.
Spark plugs are made 25 years
Very good video. Explaining what size Allen key it is to open up the drain bolt. I stripped so many oil drain bolts because I didn't know the Allen key size needed. This video really helped me out. It'll be awesome if you can make a video on how to change the spark plug. I have the 14mm spark plug socket but I can't seem to get it to reach all the way down. Basically no more to turn to take out the spark plug. I would also oil the back of the Air Filter.
Sorry it took a while to reply I’m glad you found a video useful you need a special tool to remove the spark plug the tool comes with the bike if you do not have one you should be able to get one from your local dealership

Appreciate your videos! I have the same 2022 RX. Father / Son oil change resulted in stripped oil pan threads. Doesn’t appear to be enough room to time-Sert. Such an simple error by the 10yo that has put me out of commission.

Cheers for this mate. Cracking vid! Ive just bought a 2020 CRF 250RX. I’m guessing the placement of everything is pretty much identical? Also… After how many hours/miles would this be needed… I’m a newbie to off road!

I was just wondering what oil you prefer I use the same brand as you but I didn’t know if the 10w 30 or 40 is the best Honda recommends 30 but I didn’t know if it matters or what your take on it was?

@@theofficial_mr_e1139 I like to do the first oil change after the first or second light ride after that you can do oil changes every 10 hours but the more often you change it the longer your bike will last also check out my video on greasing your brand new bike most of the pivot points like the swingarm bolt and linkage need grease right away because they come with almost none from the factory

Can you do more with the 2022 CRF 250RX Coolant Change.
When I get an opportunity I will do so until then locate the drain bolt on your water pump it is on the right side of the motor take out the drain bolt and then remove the rad cap let all the coolant drain reinstall the drain plug refill the coolant run the bike for a few minutes let it cool down and double check your coolant
So I have a ton of questions. They told me when I bought this new to break in for 10 hours and then change fluids. What do you think. Also should I change oil filter every time I change oil.
@@CH-xu7rl I am happy to answer any questions just do me a big favor and hit that subscribe button and the thumbs up… I definitely would recommend changing the oil after a few rides on a brand new bike also do the air filter clean and oil as they don’t come with a lot of oil in the filter to begin with but I do not think you need to change the coolant right away… when it comes to the oil filter I think they’re only about nine bucks and I definitely recommend changing it every time you change the oil

Do you recommend greasing your bike before your first initial ride? Is it ok if you do it a bit later? I just bought this bike recently and have been struggling to find a direct guide on maintenance and how consistent I should be doing some of them. I know its a bit off topic just felt the need to ask.
Definitely grease your bike within the first year but the sooner the better as you can see there’s little to no grease on most of these pivot bolts and pins from the factory… I usually like to do a service after every few rides depending on how hard I’ve been riding
How long is the change oil interval?
Just to confirm there’s no extra change for a transmission oil? My ‘05 250x had 2 dipsticks.

I know it’s not what you want but there’s a dirtbike LED light kit on Amazon and that is probably the way I would go other than that search for a polisport headlight if I ever get the chance to install one I will do so

i used that maxima grease and it is hard to clean out. do i have to use grease. also what about using K&N filter oil and cleaner is that ok
Yes you have to use Greece or it will suck in dirt the K&N filter oil and cleaner are only meant for the K & N filter how use gasoline to clean my air filters and then hot water and lots of dish soap to clean out the gasoline

I'm assuming to remove the plastic to then remove the air filter is also an 8mm bolt?

I run 10-40 in my area but either will do just fine.
What would happen if the oil filter spring wasn’t quite sitting in the hole in the filter
Hard to say, it might just be in the spring or your oil might not get filtered properly
I did the Air Filter clean but used the belray foam oil. does it matter? Also Im getting a slight backfire every so often.
It doesn’t really matter what kind of oil you use it’s more important to put on as much as possible… and make sure you’re putting in quality fuel do not use regular

No, only one oil
I have a question I looked in the owners manual and I cannot see that you have to change the transmission oil or anywhere to change it. Do you need to change it?
The engine and transmission oil or not separate anymore there is only one oil

When changing the oil, I always do a new oil filter as well👍 filter is only about 15 bucks very cheap. Can’t go wrong.
What process did you use to clean the air filter?
I have been trying the muc-off soak it in the cleaner rinse out with hot water and Dawn dish soap wait until the filter is completely dry and then oil and grease

How's the low end power for tight trails and engine braking for steep slick downhills?
Tons of low end power this bike is a real blast on the trails lots of hold back on hills as well only been out for a few rides can’t wait for next spring👍👍

@@ironthumb3048 personally I've had my 2022 crf250rx for a bit and I've found it doesn't like to go slow in first gear for technical stuff but it may work for you

Dude im super confused at the moment, i have the same bike but its the 250R, i was gonna service my bike today but i found out that my bike only has one cap to put the oil in as far as i know. i checked the manual and didn’t find anything relating to transmission fluid or oil. Does the bike share engine oil with the transmission? Please help me out😂

my header pipe glows cherry red in the dark after just 30 sec. of idle is that normal ? 22 hondacr250r
I’ve never ran mine in the dark and have not noticed it myself but I’m sure it’s fine is that with the high idle on or off

Any basic heavy grease will work. This is Belray waterproof grease.

I always use the Honda foam air filter. Oil works great.

I have a 2023 Honda crf250r with 10 hours on it I did a oil change ever 5 hours I did the second one today and my engine oil smells like gas. Does anyone know about this?
How is your air filter? Is it on properly? Have you been riding in the sand?

The transmission and engine engine oil are no longer separate on the Hondas. There’s only one oil to drain and fill.

@@Maxsmotoshop Wrong, a screw is a screw no matter the pitch (pitch is number of threads per inch) a bolt is used when the holes have no threads, two pieces held together with thru holes (no thread in the holes) A screw is a screw until you put a nut on it, then it's a bolt
