Bro I never met my dad (I know too dramatic for an oil change TH-cam video) and I don't know if that would have made any difference but this type of manual/repair stuff have always made me feel so insecure and intimidated, it is like what if I F-up how am I gonna fix it, who is gonna help me? Very good video. Explaining what size Allen key it is to open up the drain bolt. I stripped so many oil drain bolts because I didn't know the Allen key size needed. This video really helped me out. It'll be awesome if you can make a video on how to change the spark plug. I have the 14mm spark plug socket but I can't seem to get it to reach all the way down. Basically no more to turn to take out the spark plug. I would also oil the back of the Air Filter.
Sorry it took a while to reply I’m glad you found a video useful you need a special tool to remove the spark plug the tool comes with the bike if you do not have one you should be able to get one from your local dealership

Do you recommend greasing your bike before your first initial ride? Is it ok if you do it a bit later? I just bought this bike recently and have been struggling to find a direct guide on maintenance and how consistent I should be doing some of them. I know its a bit off topic just felt the need to ask.
Definitely grease your bike within the first year but the sooner the better as you can see there’s little to no grease on most of these pivot bolts and pins from the factory… I usually like to do a service after every few rides depending on how hard I’ve been riding
When I get an opportunity I will do so until then locate the drain bolt on your water pump it is on the right side of the motor take out the drain bolt and then remove the rad cap let all the coolant drain reinstall the drain plug refill the coolant run the bike for a few minutes let it cool down and double check your coolant

I know it’s not what you want but there’s a dirtbike LED light kit on Amazon and that is probably the way I would go other than that search for a polisport headlight if I ever get the chance to install one I will do so
Yes you have to use Greece or it will suck in dirt the K&N filter oil and cleaner are only meant for the K & N filter how use gasoline to clean my air filters and then hot water and lots of dish soap to clean out the gasoline
It doesn’t really matter what kind of oil you use it’s more important to put on as much as possible… and make sure you’re putting in quality fuel do not use regular
I have a question I looked in the owners manual and I cannot see that you have to change the transmission oil or anywhere to change it. Do you need to change it?
Tons of low end power this bike is a real blast on the trails lots of hold back on hills as well only been out for a few rides can’t wait for next spring👍👍

Dude im super confused at the moment, i have the same bike but its the 250R, i was gonna service my bike today but i found out that my bike only has one cap to put the oil in as far as i know. i checked the manual and didn’t find anything relating to transmission fluid or oil. Does the bike share engine oil with the transmission? Please help me out😂

But they have unique applications and characteristics. Bolts are used with nuts, whereas screws make threads of their own or are used on the threaded component.}

A bolt is finer, and screws into threads already made in a nut, a frame, a clip, and many other things. Just to confirm there’s no extra change for a transmission oil? My ‘05 250x had 2 dipsticks.

Hard to say, it might just be in the spring or your oil might not get filtered properly

I couldn’t find this foam air filter oil /: had to use some new Honda oil it’s green and sticky as hell
I always use the Honda foam air filter. Oil works great.

The transmission and engine engine oil are no longer separate on the Hondas. There’s only one oil to drain and fill.
