I preorderd the R9 simply because of the engine layout and price love the triple. Pani v2 seems very good too. The RC is beautiful, but i just woudn't. Parallel twin and i think its gonna be even more expensive than the v2s. Because it has to be more expensive than not just the Duke 990 but also the duke 990"R"
It will be KTM RC R for me ! It looks amazing, and I love KTM engines, they are amazing ! Second would be the Ducati, for the look, for the new engine. I'm curious. Last the R9, I'm not a big fan of the look. The engine is amazing, but I already know it, and I don't see it being better with Euro 5+, that will be a pass for me.
I've had a down payment on a V2S since it was announced. It's everything I wanted. Fuel gauge, less heat, comfy but still plenty of power for the street, no expensive desmo service, light weight for better city riding. I guess I'm different because i was looking at the 950SS but wanted a tiny bit more. It's exactly the bike I want! I know the sssa and looks are a bit controversial but idc if its double or single sided and I think it looks great from the front.
Not to mention optional cruise control, heated grips, and a fuel gauge. The optional Termignoni exhaust looks badass. Adds 6hp and sheds 4.5kg. With the bar risers could be the best street focused sport bike Ducati have ever made. I'm just waiting for more colour options which probably won't be til this time next year 🤌🤌🤌
V2S on order since 9am the day after announcement. Ill get their factory clip ons to remove the integrated triple/clip on setup and termi exhaust system. Mind you mine will spend the majority of its time at the race track club racing in supersport
V2 just for the comfort focus aspect of the bike. I don’t mind spending the money but I don’t want to be aching after two hours. I would also appreciate it if it is more comfortable for passengers since I would like to ride with my wife.
As someone who lives in Arizona and will only have one bike I’m trying to decide between the 2024 (maybe 2025) v2 or the r9! When you had the v2 in AZ how awful was the heat year round?
I owned an 1199 and 1299 and rode those year round. They were rather hot and I wouldn't ride above 110. But if to plan your ride or are able to not be stuck in traffic it'll be better. Know the 25 v2 is a totally different engine so the heating issue could be less than the previous gen.
My soul wants the V2 for a 660 replacement, but my logical side comes in and knows i can’t do it in Nm. I think it’s gonna be THE GOLDILOCKS bike. R9 is great but the riding position will be close to R7 which is a rack. 990 is awesome but KTM reliability is questionable.
Can't wait for all the test comparisons, pretty sure rc990r will be the play if KTM survives well, V2 is overpriced and not as good in spec/components, but possibly more dialed in/polished than ktm, r9 will probably be a letdown all around with the worst components and electronics, typical value proposition. Would be great to step down from v4 life of Aprilia and Ducati maybe.
@CaliMotoTV yeah, Ducati usually does a great job when it comes to dialing things in, and making a polished overall package with the components working together in harmony, so it's more than the sum of its parts, even if the separate components may be of a somewhat lower grade (like m50s instead of stylemas of r9 of hypure of rc990r). Maybe Yamaha will give us an r9sp or r9m at some point, kind of doubt it.
Curious what parts you think the KTM has that makes it more 'premium' than the Ducati? Please don't say WP suspension because it would be the first thing in the scrap pile for any serious track/racer
Do the majority of people who buy bikes, really buy them for the track, not sure I would buy such an expensive machine just to sometimes go to the track 🤔
Maybe not specifically for the track, but are used a good bit there. And how "expensive" something is, is relative, I predominantly track my v4r, I know others that have told me they would never do that because it's too expensive and they're scared. So to me a $13k bike for the track is wwaaayyy better than 45k😆
Well KTM is going bankrupt, V2 has like 108 HP and the R9 is gorgeous, and that triple will scream, and that cp3 engine will outlast the V2 and KTM engines. Facts! Rode in 15F weather today felt good
KTM is having issues but they are being addressed. I literally said in the video the horsepower of the v2 (120), and you have zero interest in a bike that isn't out yet?
I'm not betting my life on a bike designed by some Euro marketing department. R9 here I come.

I think you are going to love the v2s, I kinda want one as well!

@@silent_mike33 I love that the factory exhaust is undertail
Yea I mentioned that in the video as well. It looks cool, but also a little cheap, but we'll see how it is in person.
Same bud but mine will be straight to the track as I develop it for the race season.

Awesome! I think it'll be a solid track bike. It might be what I get for the track!

I never found the Panigale to be the bike for a passenger, but if you can stand it I guess anything can work😆
That ktm looks awesome. It's kinda a weird class but hey if people want them I guess they will sell.
I think ktm will have the best chassis feel out of them all, they have the most power too

I think the V2 is the bike that will surprise everyone. I think it'll be very good

You might be dead on with your thoughts. I do think the V2 will be the surprise of best package, which it should given the price point.

You know what gets me, Yamaha finally puts Brembos on their R1. But it's the base and the R1M doesn't get them😅
@@CaliMotoTV just like they have them on mt-09 sp but not on mt-10 sp, makes no sense whatsoever

That v2s has less hp than the v2, its fugly as well but they’re keeping the same msrp as the original v2????
Less hp doesn't mean it has less engineering or lesser components.

KTM won't even leave the production line 😂😂
Maybe, we'll see how things shake out
R9 or Pai V2S. KTM is in financial trouble, and when that happens, they cut corners to save money...
Yea that is a good point.
R7 🗑 however the Fz07 was fantastic
I agree
Ktm lol I wouldn’t
Probably, but if KTM stays afloat, the bike can't fail for them so that might make quality the best of the 3. Just out of pure necessity.

@CaliMotoTV umm no not a v2 fan, if money wasn't an issue I'd have both the KTM and the Yama
Fair enough
