I have a suggestion for you about recycling. I would put a nice small recycling bin in the laundry room. You say it is your landing zone and there is nothing wrong with that. When you have a recycling bin in the landing zone you can put all paper recycling away in the bin and when the bin is full you or your men can put them in the recycling in the garage. It works perfectly for us and I hope it works for you too 🙏🏼 💝🦄
Two different suggestions. 1. Taller bookshelves so that there isn’t a countertop to drop stuff on or 2. Move the bookshelves out completely and put the book shelves in your new craft area in the basement. It would open the space up so much! Either way it creates left of a drop zone. Nice work
There are two parts to overcoming hoarding disorder - they both are equally important - often one part is overlooked and that is "controlling what comes in". Yes, sending stuff out is important, but after that is going, one must control what comes in.
Oh you’re absolutely right!! That’s why we do our monthly No Spend Challenges to control what’s coming into the house!! The bonus to doing that is we save money each month from doing that too!
I've suggested this before, but saying again in hopes you see. Work with your habits and create large containers for trash outwards, shopping inwards and donations outwards which can include fresh washed clothes. When those containers are full, it's the trigger to move that stuff on to its final destination. That's what I hoped you'd do with the shelves that are your upstairs craft stash. They are a good size for that imo.
Lovely video as usual. As this is a 'catch all' area a suggestion is that you can put bins for recycle, things to put back, garbage etc. When they are fill it is a trigger to clear the bin.
I keep watching, every episode. I listen to you saying how you have gone from a stage 4 hoarder and now are stage 2 but still I regularly see you decluttering the same areas over and over. I really hope the time is close that you can declutter once and keep those areas uncluttered. You will most likely find your mental health will benefit also.😊
Wow, you did this in only ONE take, in nearly no time.. this is a lot of growth, your confidence is boosted for a very good reason. Please always be proud of yourself when you can see how much you developed 💜
September 2023. I gave away a bag full of craft supplies. Then, I got rid of a container. I still have 4 shoeboxes with craft supplies: 1 sewing, 1 papercrafts, 1silk flowers, 1 yarn. Tina, Al's wife
“I would actually put myself down *so bad,* it was like a defense mechanism - so that if somebody else judged me on my hoard, it wouldn’t hurt as bad, because… I already knew.😔” I felt that in my soul, man. 🥺 It was so so true of me as well. Now -after having done soooo much internal work and fought to re-embrace my WORTH- I no longer put myself down as much. Now I compassionately admit, embrace, and speak up about my struggle. I am not LESSER THAN because I battle this … I am a human being with WORTH and beautiful imperfections, all of which God is using to reach and empower others - just as He has been with you and your channel. ✊❤️🔥
You did that whole surface in one go!! Yay Miss Heart!! And so many of those things already have homes from your previous organizing, just a matter of putting them where they belong. Soon enough putting things away will become a habit too ❤
Beautiful message and lovely transformation. Thank you so much for sharing your process and your thoughts. All of it helps more than you will ever know 🥰😍🤩
Great job again! Love your epiphany that "learning gives you confidence". I think you should plant catnip for Pepper in the little cat planter you found!
I really needed to hear this and to change my negative talking. Thanks for reminding us all. You did wonderful as always. Miss Pepper is enjoying the open space too. Have a great weekend. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏👍💪🙏💐🐈
You are such a wonderful, caring, amazing person!! I want you to know that this is truth!! I will always be grateful that you are in my life as my friend 🦄🌟💕🙏🏼🩵
I'm not surprised you are a hoarder, if I had a kitty that beautiful...I would spend all my time playing with her...Nothing else would get done😉 best wish and good luck to you...great to hear from someone who PREVIOUSLY hoarded....very inspiring.❤👍👏👏👏
I watched this as I decluttered my desk which has become a hot mess. I can so relate to you and your journey. As I work my way through a "doom bag" of papers and misc junk I can recognize that I feel a little annoyed at having to do it, but it's not scary like it used to be and it feels good to be getting it done.
Manka, good job and you are not alone in it taking years to undo a lifetime of hoarding! Even if it takes a long time it is so worth it to only live with the things you actually need, use, and enjoy and have space to actually live life and have it so much easier to keep clean! I love that Ms Heart tells us the emotional componant to getting excess out.
Bravo, Ms. Heart! 👏👏👏🧺🥳🎉🦄 Fantastic job, and excellent advice. I actually just cleaned off the tops of my washer and dryer, and plan to keep them that way by checking them and removing stray objects once a week. My Mom and aunts taught me it’s a lot easier to keep up than to catch up. WHO put all that junk in my laundry room, you ask? No one but li’l ole me.🫤 I know you can organize that space and keep it under control. You got this - onward and upward!
im so proud of you. thank you for trusting us to follow you with your healing journey im real time. i relate very much to the rushing to be perfect all of a sudden and its just not sustainable without breaking down and processing the underlying traumas. i find im in the process of always regressing because i havent managed to break everything down yet abd process and heal yet. this video and hearing u talk about that like a little thing of the past encourages me to keep pushing and challenging myself until i can get to where you are. im so excited to try out the self soothing comments you recommended.
You are wonderful. I look forward to each of your episodes. But the absolute best way to stop your laundry area being a drop off zone that distresses you, is to move your cubbies to the basement. It appears that you don’t have seriously important items in the cubbies that can’t find another nearby home. By the way, I never judge the quantity of things you have. I enjoy seeing them! I love your taste.
Great video! Here is a thought, would you be able to move at least the recycling bin next to the door so it’s just a open and toss to keep the large tossy tossy pile down.
It's incredible how much your videos teach me about loving myself, treating myself well, being greatfull for what I already have. I don't have a problem with hording, i'm closer to minimalist but the wisdom and joy you have inside is so inspiring and helpfull. Thank you so very much for everything you are doing for people by your chanel ❤️
What works for us is that we each have individually designated spaces for our stuff - designated counter top spaces, designated shelves, etc. And these can be adjusted iwth the other person's consent, but we don't worry about what goes on in that person's space. IN the kitchen there are three tiny counters so we each have one and then one is kept clear as the shared counter space that is next to the microwave.
Why don't you get drop off baskets for the most common categories. It will be quicker to deal with based on the Getting Things Method. I think box for seasonal, recycling, crafts, donate, regift would really make it easier for you.
Your beach signs would look good in the laundry room. Put up a rack for straw hats and beachy totes. Paint it a beachy blue color, put a chair in there to read while doing laundry. White cubie cabiney for sandals, etc. 😎
What if you utilize this space as a drop off zone intentionally? Maybe you can but those bins you already have across the top of your white shelf system. You can have a bin for trash that's easier to get to than the garage, a bin for the random things you find to declutter between sessions, and a bin for returns. Maybe for incoming things have one bin for each room in the house so if you're in a rush you can put the things in your hands quickly in the assigned bins (bathroom, kitchen, kids' room, living room, crafts, Pepper), and maybe even assigned bins for things like "sentimental" "things that don't yet have a home" "holiday" and then when you see the bin getting full, and you have the time and focus to fully put things away you already have things sorted by room. I know a habit that's worth continuing to work on is not letting yourself put things down in the first place, but put them away (I've heard you say that phrase a lot!), but I know that's a big habit, our family is working on that, too, I'm wondering if this would be helpful in the meantime?
People please dont think you have a 'disorder' maybe she does maybe she doesn't. Don't label yourself in this way. It is counterproductive and can cause deep mental trauma which may keep you stuck. Please just be gentle with yourself and love yourself and start with little things to keep your chin up. You WILL get it done if you keep trying consistently. Enjoy the process ❤
This is such good progress! It is so motivating to see an area go from chaos to neat. It helps me to keep myself working on decluttering. Wow. I am impressed! Also, I like the wall color. I am thinking of doing a light lime green in our laundry room. Something cheerful. Gray is nice in some spaces, but imo it is way overdone anymore.
Looking good. A lot of deferred decisions. We all can relate, hoarders or not, I’m sure. I think you would benefit with a taller shelving unit there. Maybe with more cubbies you’ll have more room to organize your crafts. It seems like that’s one of the hobbies that make you happy and if you have to go down into the boxes to pull things out, you might not create as much.
Garage is too far for you to take each things EACH TIME! Not just for you but for anyone. You can make proper space in your laundry room as “things to go to the garage”. Where you drop things naturally should be the home for those things. You could confidently say “these recycling things belong here, because me and my family know where to take them once it’s full”☺️
Love ur videos they are inspiring and ur bodice make it so calming ur videos alone have helped me declutter and get rid of so much stuff (I'm also a butterfly)
You can put there ,,give away" box fit clothes and maybe big cathegories so you can take it when it's full and put away all those things (like crafts box) :)
A suggestion only: Would it work for you to have assigned buckets on top of that "counter catch all" with labels that say you, hubby, kid #1, crafts, holiday, toss? Just asking.
Wow! Great video! I loved this style video. I loved seeing all your treasures. I also have spots in my house where I have to dump my stuff before I can go through it too. I'm trying to do this in my Garage so I can make a mini art studio.

I would love to see Ms. Heart stop shopping for crafts & décor - she is so good at decluttering but there will always be a need to declutter (it will never be done) so long as the shopping for “things” continues…. Ms. Heart, I believe in you, you have built up your decluttering muscles, can you curb your shopping even more as well? Keep up the good work, your house is improving all the time!
I take breaks during decluttering or other hard tasks, even at work. I know that every time I found myself at the point of no success if I take I break I will make it. I know, I just have to take a break.
Do you know how things get piled up by that or are you unaware of what you're doing as it gets cluttered? Wonder if setting up a camera for a month would help you with figuring out how your piles grow and how you can change that pattern.
Yes, I’m fully aware and it’s mostly me and my ADHD subconscious behaviors!! Lol! Do you have a set goal with decluttering? I would like to have less stuff, less need for furniture pieces for storage, and a clearer home. Will you continue to declutter and downsize to eliminate under furniture storage and even less furniture?

The Trapper Keeper and the little Hello Kitty contact lens case! Love!
This is so inspiring. Thank-you for your generous honesty!
Pepper is the most motivational Kitty I know x
We are never given patience. But we are given opportunities to practice patience. It's a lifetime journey.

Wouldn't it help to have a small recycle bin inside the laundry room? So many of those tossy tossys could be in the right place asap
It's good that you've identified this area as a drop off zone. Sounds like it's time to put some containers there that deal with that.
Thanks, always, for your videos & encouragement!
Great to see your videos again and again every weekend it's wonderful to see your progress along the way keep going ❤

I'm sorry about your dryer! God knows exactly what he's doing even as far as little pathways infront of a broken dryer. 💖
Yay, it looks awesome! 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much my friend 🙏🏼🦄🌟💕
really enjoyed this and the finish was fantatsic
Sweetie, I would remove those cube shelves from that area!
Thank yoi and you helped so much.. i sticking too shop your hord.. you come to mind every time. I want to go buy something..use what i have..

I'm doing a paper purge while I watch you.
That 100th day t shirt is adorable 😊
👏 My new favorite motivational video!👍😃
Thank you sssooo much for all you do! You give me hope! ❤
Hello from Germany and hi miss heart and miow pepper. Good job 🎉
Love ur videos they are inspiring and ur bodice make it so calming ur videos alone have helped me declutter and get rid of so much stuff (I'm also a butterfly)
Thank you for the motivation!
You can put there ,,give away" box fit clothes and maybe big cathegories so you can take it when it's full and put away all those things (like crafts box) :)
Fantastic 🎉jobonce again congratulations beautiful lady thanks for sharing and giving me back my confidence 💜🦄🥳
Love the message today as usual.
You did a great job, it looks amazing 🤗❤️
❤❤❤😊
very nicely done. you should be encouraged because you were able to straighten that up so much faster than past times.
Normally i don't say this because it is my observation that the more flat surfaces the more mess piles. HOWEVER:
I want to suggest one or two more levels if shelves in the long wall in the laundry room. if there is proper space maybe the laundry room could become staging area for all the little incoming and outgoing activities you and family have, instead of the Livingroom.
You’re my hero! I love to put on your videos, and then they inspire me to clean every single time ❤
Well done
I meant to comment on one of your recent videos, but I’ll put it here - I know you know about Dawn The Minimal Mom and I know you know about Cass the Clutterbug, but I think you would see the biggest benefit from following Dana K White of a Slob Comes Clean. I feel like her methods would be really beneficial for you. Hold up, come to think of it, you did a video on her Container Concept but she also has the Take it There now method. IMO you would benefit from taking the items to their homes right away so then you wouldn’t have so many spaces that unintentionally become dumping zones. Take the items right to the basement, take recycling/garbage right to the garage instead of making things into projects.
Thanks for being you and being so authentic. I truly enjoy watching your videos and am proud of you for how quickly you’re able to make decisions. A very Happy Mother’s Day (weekend 😉) to you!!! ❤
Too much random stuff just got brought into your house. It's fun and it's cute, but it's just clutter.

Irrelevant, but; I love your My Little Pony collection!! 💖💖 Also, your work has really transformed your whole house! YOU are the unicorn! 💖💖

@@ahoardersheart You're doing an amazing job, have been enjoying your journey for a few years. 🙂
If you can afford it, I'd buy a really big storage cabinet and utilize the vertical space.
♥️❤️💗
Just a quick note. I've never hoarded, I don't buy organizing bins or containers. I use tissue boxes, shoe boxes, or anything else that fits. I have a small box of
beads, one of ribbons, and one for each craft I enjoy. I thought you had a bookcase in your laundry room. Tina, Al's wife
no for real

What if someone else in the house wants to put something in the laundry room?
That’s what we’re going to use those organizer bins for!! Gonna plan that out so we have drop in bins 🙏🏼💕🦄
