This is a very helpful video! Subscribed! Thanks for sharing! Would you film the process of creating a video and narrate your mental tips as you go along?

Hey Katie! Thanks for the subscribe. I may do one in the future where I speak aloud my thought process as I create the video. That's a good idea, it's quite meta.

@@thebookofbrenda look forward to that! BTW I love your music choices! Can you share a playlist? 😍

@@Katie-Lei Hi Katie! I don't quite have a playlist per-say since I tend to listen to random themed music from Musicbed and EpidemicSound while editing. They're 2 subscription-based royalty-free music platforms. I usually search up the "vibe" / "genre" / "mood" I'm going for in that scene of a video haha.
Each platform has their individual strengths, I do have a referral link for Epidemic Sound in the description box if you're thinking of looking to get a subscription. Another great alternative that's more of a free subscription is Thematic music that was founded by OG youtube Michelle Phan. I used that one in the beginning for when I was on a lower budget :)

Tip #4 is EXTREMELY important for beginners!!!
Did you say “do not look at the YT Studio?” 😅 I seriously SERIOUSLY need to try this. But listen, sitting down to script another video is hard because now that I’ve started to script my videos, I find that I can’t script a video in one sitting. It comes in pieces and so I find myself stopping to jot down notes at random moments. It’s pretty chaotic. Did you experience this at the beginning? Oh and thank you for releasing this video so quickly!! Really appreciate it ❤

I feel like everyone has different writing processes. For me, ideas and snippets of things I want to talk about come about in my day to day life so i then write short notes in my Notes app on my phone. Then, when I sit down to script, I look through the snippets of video ideas or points on my Notes App and expand on it better.
Sometimes I hit a roadblock in the middle of writing one script, so I'll switch to writing a different script on a topic that interests me more at that moment. Keeps me in my workflow and usually helps unblock me for when I need to go back to write that first script

@@thebookofbrenda that's about how it works for me too. I'm not very experienced in crafting stories but I'm determined to learn. That being said, you are REALLY GOOD at story telling!!! The flow of this video was excellent 🤌🏽
