Social media ruined me for quite a long time; - When I was bullied in school, it helped me to run away from my problems instead of facing them. - It made me so lonely that I started going into emotionally draining-, long distance relationships that wouldn't even last a week. - It made me depressed and I got burned out a lot. I promised my ex that 2024 will be our year, whether we stay together or not. And I want to live up to that quote and stop crying myself to sleep. Life's too long to worry, but too short to waste.
This is so insane because I literally did the first 3 practices - turn off notifications, batch into folders, etc - since ‘22 without having any clue that these were “methods”. I’ve also never consumed “self help” materials because I’ve always felt like my instincts have served me well on their own but it IS DEFINITELY INSANELY helpful to understand our behaviors because it helps with mindfulness and self control. “Be the change you wanna see in the world” - like this message. I sincerely believe, that once we’re adults, we are responsible for ourselves. Great vid ❤
That's amazing NoWa! You have great instincts. I think i only ever did the "turn off notifications" because I thought "these notifications feel like clutter and are getting annoying!" but the folder within a folder I had to learn through thinking about human psychology haha
I use the timer to limit the daily time. But I'm going to try your advice, by opening them only on the weekend! I love your vibe so much!! I feel like you're so nice to be around with🥰
