So after going on a binge of “tips for new mums” or “newborn must haves” videos I unknowingly became extremely overwhelmed THEN I came across Yours. Now although I appreciate all the tips, the last tip which was “your doing an amazing job” made me break down and sob. I called my partner over and finally released all my worries and stress and sobbed all over him. He was so helpful and calmed me and reassured me I was going to be great. But it was your words that reminded me that I was doing my best and helped me open up to my partner. So thank you for those words. Thank you for your tips. I hope to do just as well as you.
Yes smile and nod, as a Mum of 4 (my first is 7yrs old) I quickly learnt that smiling and nodding and moving on is far easier then disagreeing with someone who thinks their way is the only ‘right’ way 💖
I'm 15 weeks pregnant so LOVING this! So glad to have come across your videos. Didn't think I'd ever get into mummy vlogs but you've totally changed that. Your videos are SO helpful and educational as well as entertaining which I think is rare for mommy vlogs. Thanks so much for all you do
I know the thing of people telling u what to do , people dictate to you before your baby is even born and wow, it's annoying. But you bring us so much comfort with this video. U just made me feel a whole lot better about myself.
Another tip if you can: Freezer crockpot meals before baby comes are a lifesaver! And after baby comes.... Fruit! Fresh fruit will help hydrate you and keep "things" moving so you're comfortable. Have a list of things you could use help with so when visitors come they can help easily with dishes, it turning the laundry around. Also, we used cloth only because the cost savings, and honestly after using cloth wipes, all disposable wipes do a horrid job, lol. For a really nasty poo you might use 6 disposable wipes, but with cloth we never needed more than 2 unless we decided to also do a full sponge bath after, which we usually only did sponge bath in the beginning as they really didn't need more. You can do this. It will be the most amazing, hardest, most beautiful thing ever. Just breathe. And laugh! 😆
Just came across this video, your tips made me feel better and got emotional too, my little one 3 months old and son is 4 years old, managing both in this lockdown is very hard, no time to take rest.
I found your channel and I loved it. I am expectig my first baby at the end of the year and my mom and whole family live across the ocean. So it's basically my husband and me. Therefore i find your tips absolutely amazing. Thank ypu for sharing your experience.
These tips are just so good, love how they sort of detailed e.g make friends, but ideally like minded ones. It felt like a sister give awesome advice 😊
I wish I had found you two years back when I was having my first one! Have a 20 month old boy and expecting my second boy this December. Exact 2 years apart! You are so lovely!
This made my day. I'm a new mum have been finding it difficult with no sleep, by you saying your doing an amazing job made me tear up. Thank you for these vedios you make for us really helps.
Thank you Emily! Here i am , up very early in the morning, my 9 week old has reflux And sleeps very restless or not at all, and this was a particular challenging night. I needed to Hear this ! Thanks. Love xx
I don't have any children yet but watching your videos always puts me in a good mood. Your positive attitude and kind words are great to hear at anytime and you give me the hope that I'll be able to do this when the time comes.
Thank You Emily!! I'm a new, first time mommy. Baby just turned 2 months! That last "tip" almost made me cry. Loving my baby, but it's soooo important to acknowledge how hard it can be sometime! Fewwff! Thank you, thank you. Love your channel and congrats on your subscriber milestone! Cheers from Los Angeles.
This is the best advice I've seen! I agree with all of it, and if any new moms are reading this, you got this. You'll raise your children (and each child) different from any other parent, so don't worry about the people telling you you're doing it wrong.
Just my husband and I living across the globe from family. Hubby went to work 2 weeks later. Little one is almost 12 weeks now and I cannot believe how much she has changed or how we got here. There were days when I thought I couldn't get through but here we are. It does get better mummies out there and it's so worth it. I know you have heard this before but you need to hear it again.... you are doing great!!!
He is 8 weeks old now and your video is exactly what I needed. You are an inspiration, Emily. Thanks for all the advice, been following your channel since my third trimester and it helped me a lot. Wishing you all the success on TH-cam and all the best for your family! 😘
I so needed this video! My son is 3 weeks, and he is my first baby, and I feel a little discouraged... Unplaned c section, baby who caught a cold at 4 days old, and now he doesn't want to sleep and cry from 1h to 5h am most of the time. It's nice to know that it will get better soon!
These are great tips. My baby is nearly 12 weeks and you are so right ...'it does get easier!' Congrats on reaching 100000 subscribers yesterday. Really happy for you!!!!
Hi Emily, I've not even finished watching your video and I already want to cry with relief. I'm a new mum to a 4 month old and it's been a tough week. So to watch this video today of all days has been so reassuring. Thank you so much! X
I'm a first time mum and my baby is now 4 and a half months and I couldn't agree more with everything you have said! I struggled in the beginning with breast feeding, it was painful and just so often!! Perseverance and positive thinking got me through! The only thing I'm still struggling with is the weight! Everything dies get easier! Love your videos Emily! X
Hi Emily, i'm a first time mum and due date is coming closer, so i start to get worried. This video was so PERFECT to watch at this point! Thank you so much for sharing these tips and just spreading positivity and love. So many ladies need that :) I do admire you a LOT!
I am so grateful for your videos! I am now one month away from giving birth to my first baby and i'm freaking out. It wasn't planned but I couldn't be happier =) Thank you for all your great videos!!
I just had my first baby - he is now 1 week old. I started watching your videos 4 months ago and they have helped me so much to prepare for the arrival of my new baby. This video has really made me feel like I can do this new full-time job. So, Thank you for posting amazing videos and giving so much encouragement to new Moms like myself. It is truely inspiring and so helpful. Thanks!!
I'm sat here as a first time mum and little one is nearly 6 weeks old..... I'm watching sat on my stairs at 6am and baby in bouncy chair cause I feel a mess but watching your video Emily helps me calm and remember it's going to be okay....... for that I want to say thank you soo much for your videos xx
Thank you so much for your lovely videos. My baby boy is already 9 months! Time flies! I had a horrible birth experience wich makes me very sad but your videos and my little baby boy make me smile and give me the courage to hold on and look to positive things! Thank you so much Emily.
My daughter is 16 days old today and I feel like Ive finally stopped running on adrenaline and crashed. Ive struggled to settle her all day and feel like a useless mum. Really needed this video! Thankyou Emily xx
So after months of watching your videos, today i found out my mum knows you and Matt. Madness🤣 i think you and the boys are awesome thank you so much for sharing your lives with us x
This helps so much, thank you! I'm 11 weeks pregnant with my first very unexpected baby and to say I'm terrified and unprepared would be an understatement! So thankful for a supportive husband and family though. Thank you for all your vlogs and videos Emily, it helps so much to see how you are with your lovely family and I hope I can be as good of a mum as you are! Xx
I love this! I'm due in December with my first child and my husband and I live near none of our family, so it's nice to get advice and tips from someone who knows what they're doing!
"Crazy world of parenting" is the nice phrase lol. I'm a new mom to a 7th month old son. Some days I feel quite insane...watching your vids truly helps!!!!!
It's so encouraging for new moms. Thanks 👍🏼 I am watching you from Australia. I always like all of your videos. You are my most favourite TH-camr. I am a new mom but i get confident by watching you how easily you handle 3 boys. ❤️❤️❤️
Hello Emily.. I am a new mother. Just wanted to let u know how much I enjoyed watching this video and connected with it. Ur last point made me almost cry, coz I feel so exhausted and lonely sometimes being a full time mother these days!
I have been watching your channel since early last year, then i dint have a baby or plans of one. But enjoyed every bit now am 10weeks pregnant and cant wait for my baby to be here any make use of all the good things í have learnt here. Thanks Emily God bless 😘
I love your videos. I have a 3 yr and 2yr and 34 weeks pregnant with mono/di twin boys. I’m a little scared of how I’ll handle all this but I know thinking positive works.
Very true with when others comment on your baby, they're not meaning to be rude or anything but yes just agree be polite (they are just trying to help) and then carry on what you think is right
Hi Emily !! I have been watching many videos about pregnancy, baby preps n all...I am 7 months pregnant...but I must say you are the finest and clearest opinionated one among all !! Love from India !! ❤️❤️
My newborn would not sleep at all. 1 hour sound sleep was blessing. I used to be up like 20 hours per day. Then I followed Jackson's routine when my baby girl turned 3 months old and now all is well. Thank you so much Emily!!! xoxo
Thank you so much for your channel. I find your videos very informative. Other bloggers post 37-minute videos with 5 tips. Well, it all good, but I have a baby and I don’t have 37 minutes to devote to get only 5 tips out of them. But your videos are short enough to watch and very very useful.
When you click like before you watch the video! I just love you and your family, you are such a great mom! Lots of love from Belgium PS. I am a 24 year old without kids, but love watching your videos :)
Thank you so much for this video! First time mum here and I live in Australia while my family is in the States and it has been really great having your videos to prepare and go through motherhood. Love you and your gorgeous family xx
Congrats on your 100000 subscribers! I remember watching your first video which was about your house being renovated! You have been an inspiration! It's amazing to see how patient and wonderful you are with your kids and how you have so much energy to travel so often !!!
I just love you, and I'm so happy for you Emily! Truly helping moms literally everywhere. I'd love for you (if it's not way too personal) to touch on any baby blues / depression you've had with your babies. I definitely had a case of the blues that surface sometimes, hormones are just the best! ;)
hi, i became mama this july. iam so happy but struggling with many things.. i just cried when i heard your last tips or comment . love it thank youu so much
Am a mum of two toddlers now... but I so..so.. needed this in the early days of my first born.... I definitely had to undergo so many judgments from so many quarters... most of these judgments were so very unwanted, especially when I am recovering mentally n physically from childbirth.... So the second time around I was much more prepared, n chucked out of the window all such negative thoughts n advises..... Love u lots Emily... you are my biggest 'mums-piration'.... 👍
Hi Emily, I love your videos, they're so reassuring and calming! I am due my first baby this October, we're having a little boy 🙂💙 I live in Canada with my husband but my family is all back in the UK so I really appreciate your tips and tricks!
I just love you! Thank you so much for the tips, I NEED it now. My baby boy is one week old and I can't stop crying everyday, because I keep on thinking I'm a mess and such a loser. I spent the whole nine months reading about this period of time but once I'm in the middle of it it is like as if I don't know anything!!
Teba Yassin HUG it WILL get better. It's so hard now but it will get better. I cried almost Everyday too then like what Emily said, by about 12 weeks, baby gets a bit more settled and my goodness I remember what a relief it was that I could get *gasp* 4 hours of sleep! I felt like superwoman after that! Keep going mama! You are not alone!
I'm due on 6th September and I remember subscribing to you when I found out as you had Jackson around the time I am expecting albeit a year later. You have been SO helpful and encouraging in your videos throughout my pregnancy and I couldn't thank you enough! X
I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I'm over the past few days I've been so stressed I'm so scared and Confused I have no idea how I will cope I'm also only 18 years old and I feel like I had to grow up so fast in these couple of months I'm looking for all kinds of help and support with my pregnancy and your videos honest to God help me cope so much better lately I love watching all these mom hacks and helpful tips thank you so much for making these great videos they really do help me xoxo
I would try putting on a show that he absolutely loves and will sit down for. Then you can lay right down on the couch next to him and rest. Even if you only dose off for a few minutes you will feel better getting rest.
Being just 19 weeks today, this really helps me mentally prepare for the new experience of being a Mum! I always imagined it was not easy at all and would take time to understand what to do, when and how but hearing advice like this from a Mum of three means so much to me. Something about you and these videos are priceless because you just have a way of putting me at ease about everything! Thank you 😍
My baby is 2 weeks old and I watched your videos throughout my pregnancy. You gave me the confidence to go for the home birth I wanted and even though it ended with her being born in an ambulance I did most of it just how I wanted and I would definitely do it at home again. Love your down to earth tips and videos and your balanced view if subjects like breastfeeding. I managed a week then had to switch to formula for several reasons which I found tough but she is healthy and fed which is the most important thing! Keep up the good work :-)
I had 2 under 2 and your tips are on point! We're slowly getting out of the tranches now but boy you need all the help you can get in these early days! Love your approach to motherhood & Your bubbly personality. Much love from Belgium 🇧🇪
Hello x I'm a new mum ( my little girl is just 7 weeks) and your videos have helped me so much, it's just so hard sometimes. You're amazing xx thanks so much
Thank you! My little boy Alfie is one & I suffered with PNA, everything you said is so true & I cannot thank you enough. I have watched your videos from when I was pregnant & feel like we are very similar & watching your videos gives me sooo much confidence as a mum xx
I love this 😍 "you are doing an amazing job" I really needed that. Thank you ❤ and it is so true, no one really tells you. The kids certainly don't and the hubby sort of takes it for granted. Love xxx
I really enjoyed this video, you definitely had some great advice. I'm expecting our first baby in February and I can not wait! The one piece advice that I'm already finding useful is the 'smile and nod' while I love that everyone wants to be super helpful, everyone seems to already have advice (which can be wonderful but also a little overwhelming) some of it fits for us and some of it doesn't, so I have already begun the 'smile and nod' Thank you for all your wonderful videos
Emily, I want to thank you for making this video. I have around 10 weeks before I become a first time mum & in between the unsolicited advice and my own worries, it's hard to not get caught up in those fears and anxieties. I feel so much better after watching this video. :)
Aww I love this and I actually started tearing up toward the end when you started talking about how fast they grow up. They really do grow so fast! I have to remind myself to "don't sweat the small stuff"!
Thanks, Emily! Wish I had seen this video a few months back :) My daughter is 5 months, and those early days/weeks were rough. I've really been enjoying watching your videos and hope you're having a great summer!
Hi Emily, watching you from Spain! Just want to say how inspiring I'm finding your videos. I'm a new mum of a beautiful six month old boy. I particularly love your videos about how to get organised and sort the house out! But this last one was so lovely, such wonderful tips that made me feel so much more confident as a new mummy!
This was such a sweet video! I'm expecting my firstborn (👶🏽) any day now (39 weeks today) and hearing your advice really makes me even more eager to get to it (motherhood)! I know it will be the toughest job ever, but I feel it will be the most worthwhile experience in my life! I am sure I will replay this video pretty soon, whenever I feel overwhelmed. I'm already feeling like I'll get teary eyed at the final 'tip' - the praise 😂
I've been waiting for my first and she'll be arriving anytime in the next couple of weeks. Your videos are what I've watched for the past eight months and I can't wait to put these tips into good use!
Just found your channel today and I am so glad I did. This video makes me feel so much better... The whole bit about taking longer to do things.. I just thought I wasn't doing it right, and that I was a failure... Happy to know that I'm not the only one...
All so true. The number one thing I think every mum forgets is that they know their baby best. I found that I was a much better Mum when I stopped reading EVERY parenting article on Facebook which contradict each other all the time which was so stressful. Always feeling like I was screwing it all up no matter what. Once I just focused on who I am and who we are as a family I was much calmer and confident. Great tips Emily!
Congrats, Emily- on 100K subbies. So well-deserved for putting so much heart and great advice into your content. I subscribed when I was in my 1st trimester with our first baby, and he is 12 weeks old.
I get super lonely. I have twins and although i get out and talk to parents alot i can find it hard to meet up and have time to talk with 2 babies lol . Youve helped me so much these past 2 years
I wish I would've find this video when I had my baby 😢 it would've helped me a lot. My baby is 2 1/2 years old now and it still very hard for me to keep up with everything. Watching your video made me feel better. Thanks for the tips 😊
It's so hard to sleep when the baby sleeps! I was so bad at napping with my first. I'll be having my second in a couple weeks and I'm hoping she sleeps a little better than my first. 😅🙏🏼 And so true, no one know's your baby like you do and even then, it's okay to parent differently, there is no right and wrong :) Beautiful tips.
You can do your housework when your baby sleeps during the day. I dont think emily meant that every time your baby sleeps you must sleep too. My babies slept most of the day when they were tiny but even a 20 minute power nap will help you feel so much better. Do it i promise it will help
Hy, Emily! I am a new mom and I love your channel. Your videos helped me a lot during my pregnancy and after I gave birth. Thank you! Huge hug from Romania 💜
I agree @Kristen. @Emily Norris, I notice my little one every night once put down in the crib to sleep would immediately wake up crying. Also, when actually fallen asleep after few minutes he would startle a lot lift his hands and feet and then start to fuss which leads to constant crying and screams out in his sleep. Then suddenly wakes. No idea why this happens.
Hi Emily. What a great video .. thank you :) this really helped . I'm a first time mom , Ariel is 4 weeks old tomorrow and it's really helped watching this as we do put too much pressure on ourselves, especially first time around . Have been watching your channel throughout pregnancy and have used so many of your tips so wanted to say thanx xx
Hi Emily! Your videos make me feel like I can be a confident and successful mom, especially a confident mom of a little boy, My Dexter is 5 weeks old now! I found your channel right before I gave birth and have some loved all your mom tips and tricks you share. I love all your videos honestly. I'm a sucker for your organization videos too! Great channel and congrats.on the 100K subscribers! Xo

Very true with when others comment on your baby, they're not meaning to be rude or anything but yes just agree be polite (they are just trying to help) and then carry on what you think is right
Great tips Emily, wish someone had told me everything didn't need to be perfect when I had my kids. These are things new mommies need to hear.
Hi Emily !! I have been watching many videos about pregnancy, baby preps n all...I am 7 months pregnant...but I must say you are the finest and clearest opinionated one among all !! Love from India !! ❤️❤️
18 weeks pregnant at the moment and piling on as much info and tips as humanly possible 😂😂 thanks for the great video and advice!!
Lots of love from Belgium
PS. I am a 24 year old without kids, but love watching your videos :)
Thank you so much for this video! First time mum here and I live in Australia while my family is in the States and it has been really great having your videos to prepare and go through motherhood. Love you and your gorgeous family xx
At 34 weeks gone and a first time mum , I am so grateful for this video
I'm a first time Mum, feeling so isolated and anxious! My baby girl turned 1 month today and I really needed this video today! Thank you ❤️
This is another reason I love being on TH-cam too because you meet so many mums that you can talk to as well as in real life xxx
I definitely had a case of the blues that surface sometimes, hormones are just the best! ;)
hi, i became mama this july. iam so happy but struggling with many things..
i just cried when i heard your last tips or comment . love it thank youu so much
I am a mom of 2 and I found this video superrr it really made me tear! thank you Emily!
I'm a new mum and yeah it's really hard for the first 3weeks, I remember I almost cried every time. Thanks for the video, I love your channel.
Hi Emily,
I love your videos, they're so reassuring and calming!
I'm having my baby in 5 weeks and this video really calmed me down, so thank you so much! love from Sweden
I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I'm over the past few days I've been so stressed I'm so scared and Confused I have no idea how I will cope I'm also only 18 years old and I feel like I had to grow up so fast in these couple of months I'm looking for all kinds of help and support with my pregnancy and your videos honest to God help me cope so much better lately I love watching all these mom hacks and helpful tips thank you so much for making these great videos they really do help me xoxo
kylie mckenzie You will be an amazing mum
So glad you found it helpful! Thank you so much for watching my videos xx
I mean how do you sleep when your newborn sleeps when you also have another toddler who's awake and fully energised????
Fadna that's why this video is for NEW mums. 😂
I would try putting on a show that he absolutely loves and will sit down for. Then you can lay right down on the couch next to him and rest. Even if you only dose off for a few minutes you will feel better getting rest.
Omg that’s my life
Being just 19 weeks today, this really helps me mentally prepare for the new experience of being a Mum!
Keep up the good work :-)
Thank you for theese videos! My wife and I watch them in an attempt to sooth our fears of coming parenthood.
I had 2 under 2 and your tips are on point! We're slowly getting out of the tranches now but boy you need all the help you can get in these early days! Love your approach to motherhood & Your bubbly personality. Much love from Belgium 🇧🇪
The up keep and quality of your videos is great lyl xxx
Wow, you're way too kind. Thank you so much xx
Ty. I need
The support
Hello x
I'm a new mum ( my little girl is just 7 weeks) and your videos have helped me so much, it's just so hard sometimes. You're amazing xx thanks so much
Congratulations on 100k Emily! You deserve it and much more purely due to the genuiness and humility you exude. Xxx
Love xxx
loved this❤️ im 23 weeks pregnant with my daughter and really needed this x
I really enjoyed this video, you definitely had some great advice. I'm expecting our first baby in February and I can not wait! The one piece advice that I'm already finding useful is the 'smile and nod' while I love that everyone wants to be super helpful, everyone seems to already have advice (which can be wonderful but also a little overwhelming) some of it fits for us and some of it doesn't, so I have already begun the 'smile and nod'
Thank you for all your wonderful videos
Thank you, Emily. I needed this... as a FTM struggling with my 3 month old baby's sporadic and short naps.
So glad you found it helpful! Thank you so much for watching xx
Greetings from the Philippines! :) . I’m a new mum and I learn so much from watching your videos and I really enjoy watching you and your family. ❤️
I couldn't agree more! xx
"sleep when the baby sleeps" always made me want to answer "ok then i'll clean the house when the baby is too" haha!
I'm 5 weeks in with my baby girl and it has been so exhausting but so incredible. Thank you for this. ❤️
Oh dear its so tough at the beginning! I promise it gets easier. Thank you so much for watching xx
