Owen is honestly one of the best songwriters ever. Period. And I'm picking about my songwriters. Mike is someone, I honestly think would be a cool person to hang out with. His music is just incredible

My cousin Matt Orland was in this music video at 1:00 (where his supposed bad habit is pointing directly at him) and 1:40 and I have watched this video countless times since his death. The music of Mike Kinsella has been one of many important windows into Matt's world, so much so that I wrote my song Owen as an homage to my relationship with Mike's music.
