Judge Mablean Ephriam, who presided over "Divorce Court" from 1999-2006 as the first star of the revived version of the show, returns to the courtroom genre with his half-hour series that deals with life and the law. The former Los Angeles-based prosecutor takes on the typical cases that are found on TV court shows. The arbitrator says that her show "will be life because everything we do, it involves the law."

Not necessarily, I have been in a courtroom where a female told the judge the gentleman promised her for sex. The gentleman said she stole his money..he was the Plantiff

Our right as citizens is access to the courts. The complaint isn’t vetted before hand- the clerk just sets the date. The whole point is to have the complaint decided by a judge because the parties involved can’t agree

Whether a matter is legally enforceable or not can only be determinrd by the presiding Judge once the facts are presented and heard in court.

Yes you're correct. This specific courtshow , unlike The People's Court for instance, is scripted with actors instead of actual litigants .

Gambling isn't illegal. When litigants participate in illegal situations then the judge says goodbye.
