I don't want to use an airbrush. When I hand brush my varnish, is it ok to do it very thick and leave lots of brush marks and polish out afterwards? I tried painting thin layers of varnish, but found it too easy to take it all off from sanding / polishing.

I don't understand the purpose of sanding and polishing after using 2k clear. If it goes on and there's no obvious blemishes then it should be OK. I don't build a lot of car models, mostly I do armour and figures and a few motor gp bikes. There are a lot o tutorials on clear coating and polishing and they seem to be a bit overkill ,I mean sanding with 5000 then 7000 then 8000 and some using auto polishes.This is why I don't do many cars or bikes it becomes very expensive and often frustrating if you stuff it up.

On appel cette étape le dépolissage. de cet façon on aplanie parfaitement la surface du vernis et on a de joli reflet ensuite . ( pas d effet peu d orange ) ;)

Oui , tu laisses tremper pendant 1 jours ou 2 dans le liquide de frein. Sinon tu as aussi le Glanzer ( produit ménager) ou le decap four ( tu met ta maquette dans un sac congel et tu rempli de decap four )

Oh tu sais c'est pas bien compliqué , par contre çà demande du temps . Au moins 2 heures entre les papiers abrasive, les compoud et la wax.
