More new red dogs!! Very nice! Wonderful, being able to track and control the genetics like that. Speaking of, I wonder if Eleanor's genetics includes weakness of the horns? And little Jackie and Maya are looking great. Creek fencing. A thought, Dusty. On either bank, anchor a STOUT metal post from pipe, making certain they're plumb and anchored in with concrete. These should be taller than everything else. Take gate sections and weld them together to span the distance between the poles. Connect them to the poles with rollers which ride the poles vertically. At the bottom of the gates, have sealed up barrels welded to the bottom of the gates to use as floats. As the creek rises, the fence (gates) rises. As the creek drops, the fence drops. CONGRATULATIONS on the new red dogs. They are so cute. You take good care of your bison and that's what helped you get them rounded up when they escaped. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Having cattle/bison broke to feed makes life so much easier. We also include a certain whistle when we want them. Eventually, you can just whistle and they will come to you even if you don't have feed. I love watching your bison and how the farm is growing.
Good idea it really does help a lot whenever initially trying to spot them! We have done that before, but you can’t see through the tree canopy this time of year so it doesn’t really help if they are laid up in the woods 👍
Dustin, you keep talking about major changes to the ranch, I think it's about time you gave your viewers a little taste of what you have been talking about, what do you think?,great video as always, glad to see your wife out there with you, how is "Cora " doing. ❤❤❤.
Those tiny reddogs are soooo adorable 🥰. When you found the Hoss herd on that tall grass meadow with the white flowers, I thought of the really old cartoon - Ferdinand - a bull that just wanted to smell flowers. Kinda like Dunbar, Hoss and Big Joe, gentle giants. Can't wait to hear what the huge changes are!
Can't wait to hear about your upcoming big changes to the ranch! Those red dogs are so cute. One has a tendency to think of bison like cattle but they are a dangerous animal, for sure. I agree with you wife. You need to work on that creek crossing.
They definitely do know the sound of the sac shaking and the ATV’s. Oh great leave us hanging on what’s next! I know whatever it is it’s going to be awesome. Have a safe and wonderful weekend!
Yay!!! I do believe you are hinting at Dunbar and Eleanor are coming to the Ponderosa!!! That makes me so HaPpY 😍 So I am assuming you will have 3 main herds, Dunbar's herd, Big Joe's herd, and Hoss' herd ❤️🤞❤️🦬❤️🦬❤️🦬❤️
Oh how I look forward to and love Thursday. To get to see the updates on the herd is absolutely exciting. Looking forward to your surprise. be safe and keep on ranching Dusty and Marissa.
It’s great to see all the bison just roaming around the pasture. They probably think they are in heaven with all that grass to eat! The creek crossing hopefully will last long enough for them to get all the grass eaten down so they can be moved out. Then you will be able to fix it better. The suspense of what is coming is driving me crazy! Can’t wait to see what’s next for you and your Family at the Ponderosa! 😊
Great to see Nora 🫶. Big Joe, Dunbar and Hass have their own way of doing things 😂. Waiting for what's next 🫶👍. Blessings to CTB 🙏 Love your videos, so informative.👍
Thank you, Dusty and Marissa, for taking us with you on the check in. Red dogs on the ground. It doesn’t seem like it’s time yet. It’s exciting that it is! I can’t wait to see what new things are coming! Blessings of Abundance in all that you need and all the good fencing 🤭 ❤
Awesome updates, Dusty! Our Wyoming Life has a cake feeder that they use. Even installed one in the back of a side by side. I can't remember which one they have though. Just wanted to pass that along in case you were wondering how it would work in ATV. Keep up the great work! Love seeing the Bison and the progress you're making on the Ponderosa.
You are becoming a master of the "hook". Keeping us guessing what is up with you and yours. Love seeing the red dogs and hearing their lineage. Congrats, grandpa Dunbar.
No fair, teasing us like that! A big surprise and leave us hanging what it is! Sounds like more bison. Still wondering about the work on the barn. What will it be? A rental, a home, a retail space, what?
I've been anxiously awaiting this video of red dogs!!! Thank you Dusty & family for posting these great videos. I love Bison! ❤🦬❤ Big Joe is MAGNIFICENT! Good evening from Houston,Texas great to see the greedy bison again😊😊great video and thanks for sharing hugs and prayers❤❤(at 2.48 i thought he going to jump in the truck and take the food)😊
Love your channel. I'm a dog groomer and do positive reinforcement. Every zoo uses it from elephants to dolphins. Cubes are just that. Follow the leader and you get food. I've even trained my house cats that escape out the door to come to the sound of the dry food in the metal dish. Like I said last week, several bison were put down in my State because they endangered cars and weren't able to be caught. We have the same thing with cattle.. You kids are doing a great job and remember each scenario is a learning curve.
Such good points! Great training tool to help when you need them to follow. Too bad they won’t just follow you into the chute/alley system for cubes when getting vaccinated 😂
Good question! We have before, but you can’t see through the tree canopy this time of year so it doesn’t really help if they are laid up in the woods 👍
Wow four red dogs & Dumbar’s a grandpa. Pretty amazing. It’s good you found the jailbirds. Apparently they prefer the shade. Can’t imagine what surprise is coming up soon? I’ll have to think on that. Another awesome video & btw I hope I don’t have nightmares after seeing that snake. 😎

It's nice to hear and she your wife with you.
A couple of weeks ago, in Ark City, KS, we tracked down a bison 🦬 herd with the help of a gentleman obviously on his way to go fishing. After flagging him down, he graciously said to follow him and he’d show us where the bison were. North of a cemetery older than the Civil War, we got to see a guy in a skid steer widening out a pond. Here comes the big bull, not the least bit intimidated by that piece of machinery, checking out the pond changes, so much like Big Joe, in charge. Leaving a note in a plastic bag attached to the owner’s fence, he was asked if he knew you. Not having heard from him isn’t a surprise. He a busy man! Perhaps you will hear from him. Nice way to spend a Saturday morning, watching a guy taking care of a small, but growing herd of America’s largest mammal. Thanks for sharing.😊
Dusty, what a tease you are. Love your videos. I am impressed by your animal welfare and care of your land. Well done and thank you for sharing. Stay safe.
So happy that the bison are all safe and healthy. Big Joe is looking more bulky than he was when you all worked the bison. Hopefully he continues to put weight back on. Love how curious he is and he loves them cubes. Can’t wait for the newest updates. I sure wish I could spend a day bison watching. Seeing them out on the big 80 acres is seriously special. Back where their ancestors once called home. Dusty, you and Marissa and Kevin have really made a life to be proud of. It’s alot of work for sure. But man, it is magical!
Either an Air BnB in the barn or you are building a house for yourselves at the Ponderosa property, maybe both. You ought to have someone on site all the time with that many animals there.
