Cora's coloring is called buckskin, and her shading of buckskin is buttermilk. So her coloring is called buttermilk buckskin. She is a lovely girl. For us horse folks, what is her breeding? I'm so glad to see a trainer working with you all! :)
Thank you for sharing the days activities on the ranch with bison in different areas of the herd. And the Bison that are carrying new little bison healthy looking . And Cora new name for your horse on the ranch .
They sure are beautiful. I love their behaviour between each other. They have there own style but they definitely know they need each other to survive strong in group. So beautiful.
Hi Dusty, i am sure Big Joe would let Hoss know and the cows put in his place.I guess if u want to get to the other pasture is jump the fence.Keep ranching and both herds look great and content.
Dusty, it’s so refreshing to watch your videos and not hear the F word every other sentence. Clean language and entertaining as well as very educational. Thank you for keeping it clean. I’m one lady who appreciates the efforts. Be Blessed. 😊
I couldn’t believe how calm Big Joe was with Hoss being with him !! I just love how calm Big Joe is .. he is beautiful ! And yes the Texas cow looks great , from the shape they were in when you got them Dusty ! But you did a lot to make them and all your Bison healthy.. Thank You for that ! And Cora is a beautiful name for the horse , she is getting more used to you !! Great video as always!!
The "rut" is not happening now so there is not the hormone going on now. Give a few months and it will be different. Love that the senior cows are pushing him around.
As someone who follows you from UK seeing these magnificent beasts is fantastic. Big Joe is a gentle giant but I know you can never trust them fully. Hoss was lucky big Joe is so easy going and not to bothered he had got into the wrong paddock. Love the new addition to ranch Cora she is a beautifully coloured mare, she will be great to ride round the Ponderosa rather than keep going out in truck.
Reminds me of the old Foghorn Leghorn cartoons where Foggorn tells the baby chicken hawk to "go away son, you bother me" but never loses his patience. I love Big Joe. 🦬
Well I hope Marissa has a lot of carrot seeds to plant in her garden this year! Brooks will have a field day giving them to Cora. What a sweet face she has and Kind, beautiful eyes. So excited for your family to share bringing her up to be the first ,original, CTB horse. It's awesome you have a mentor to answer all your questions as you go forth.
Pretty little Cora and handsome rugged Big Joe. What a crew with Hoss about to get schooled by his elders. Just bought a double order of the Original Bison Sticks 10 pk cause my husband can't live without them. They are indeed the best meat sticks we have ever tasted.
Doesn't seem like Joe is too worried about "competition" and the cows told him a few manners perhaps? 🤣 Guessing Hoss know spring is right around the corner :)
Pretty kool watching Joe & Hoss interacting in same pasture. I wondered when you got Hoss how they would get along. Nice to see that cow wasn’t receptive to Hoss. She put him in his place but good. Lol Cora is very pretty. I look forward to watching he training & work on the ranch.
Thanks for sharing your furry and feathered friends with me. I am pretty much housebound now, but I'll always love the time I spent watching bison at Medicine Park. Special hello to Cora --- she is just lovely. Blessings to you and the 👪 family.
I love watching your videos. There is always something to learn and appreciate. It is a privilege to watch someone like you who really invests themselves so deeply into the raising and caring such sacred animals. I especially love that you watch your buffalo family with both your head and your heart. It is clear that these animals are more than a commodity and means to an end for you. Continue the important work you do and “ranch on”.
Hi Dusty! You have a great respect for your bisons. They in turn will have respect for you ( I hope) Great watching how you treat them especially with cubes. Great name Cora for the new member of the ranch. Keep up the great adventures 👍
Big Joe - waiting at the gate for you. “Look Man… this kid got in here. I had a word with him. I waited here with him to let you know. “ Cora is a beautiful horse. Blessings to you and yours, Dusty! ❤
Just re-watched this video. Some of your bison cows are good looking beasts, good colours. So interesting to see the differences. Thank you, Dusty. Stay safe.
Every time I watch, I cannot imagine standing in the same space with such magnificent animals. What beautiful and majestic animal's these animal's are!
I crack up every time you tell the bison to stay brown 🤣. Cora is a great name. It suits her. I'm sure glad Big Joe considered Hoss more of a nuisance than competition. It could've been quite a hairy situation.
Big Joe says, I'll let my girls whip on him...I'll just put the exclamation point on it. Cora is a lovely name for your horse. I hope you have a great trainer working with you. Keep watching some on-line videos of other trainers. I'm a firm believer you should get that working relationship with any of your animals and especially with your working dogs and horses you plan to ride. Those two Texas cows are lovely looking. I really like how dark and long the mane is on TX11. She's a looker.
***🌺 Continued: (Sorry it just cut itself off). All I'm saying is you have a beautiful filly in your care. Treat her kindly & always with a gentle hand and voice, but there will be times when you'll need to use a firm voice, and you'll love the horse she becomes! It's almost like raising your child. You'll find she'll have a sweet tender personality and I'd introduce her and Brookes while both are young but always be cautious & teach Brooke to be cautious around her as well. Remember she's young & she's gonna be playful but she is a baby who's got a lot to learn and boundaries with kids is an important teaching. Just like Brookes knows there's cautions with the bison, you'll need to teach her a lot of cautions with her new horse. I grew up on farms & ranches. I've been on horses since I was a baby with my dad. I've ridden gymkhana, rodeos and in parades. If this is the direction Brookes grows up in, all of you will have lots of fun. I think it was a great way for us to grow up. We didn't have anything given to us, we earned it. My brother n I had to cut a truck full of grass by hand with a sickle n tie it up n load it in the back of my dad's pickup truck every single day, rain or shine! If we wanted our horses that's what we had to do because the grass in the pastures were for our cows. We did it & it made us stronger in many ways. At the age of 13 yrs old, I would help skin & de-gut our cows plus we'd help at the butcher's, trimming & packaging our different cuts of meat. I also had to help my dad fence in 8 acres of land & make separate paddocks within that. Yes, I grew up much differently than many other 13 yr old girls and I wouldn't trade a single day of it. Good luck with your new 🐎 horse and I'm sure Brookes will have a great time growing up with her also. I've also been following Daniel & Dejays channels for a few years. Enjoy your filly & God ✝️ bless 🙏 all of you🦋. With Love 💞 & Aloha 🌺 from Yvonne 🌺 🦋 & Hoku 🐾 🐕 in San Diego 🌺 🦋 🌈 🌊*** San
It is really a treat to watch you interact with your animals!! I can see a definite communication going both ways there. Not sure who is the luckiest here, you, are the bison. Everyone looks well and happy. Thanks for the insight Dusty. You make it look like it would be nice to walk up and scratch one's ears there. BUT you have taught me that is NOT good practice!! LOL Great video.
U r such a Trooper Dusty. U Herd is just. Beautiful. It is hard to Believe that a Bison as hugh as they can move so Swiftly and jump a Fence. They r so agile for sure. Luv the Cap and Sweat Hoodie. The Horse is Beautiful and has a Lovely Carmel color Thank u so much for sharing, until next time.
Cora is a great name for her. The vicent amazed me the way they act and especially the ones that know you very well. Thank you for sharing this amazing journey with you
I think a simple name for her will be easier for all of you in the training and Brooks will definetly have a better time of it. Nice to see all the cows and talking about them individually again.
Those big guys are so amazing as they come lumbering up all slow and heavy but you know in an instant they can explode and go jumping, bucking and running full out! Love that. Hoss had some nerve didn't he? Cora is pretty, she has some nice lines.
I was wondering why you put the solar pannels where you did as one end was in shade quite a bit. I understand now that you planned on clearing a bit of woods to make the sun hit earlier on the pannels. I think it's exciting to see a new pasture developed. Yes, you will need the stumps removed. It makes sense to make some money from clearing it now rather than wait till the equipment leaves. I still think you should get them to leave you a load of wood chips that you can use in a garden or paths in the future.
Dusty, God those bison are gorgeous. God made a beautiful animal. I am so glad somebody got a horse, love them. Watched a video of a charity that gives bison to Indians so they can raise them. As you know they depended on buffalo before Americans almost made them extinct when they settled out west. Where did all those hides and go? Love watching your channel. Janet🦬🦬🦬🦬🦬🦬
Dusty you be nice to those noisy chickens...LOL! I was excited to see you will be at the okie homesteaders expo. I just wish I could be there to meet you and the other homesteaders. I will get to be there someday. I am glad to see your friend Mark was there to work with you and Cora hopefully he will teach you both alot.
Big Joe has a beautiful face and head. I think he likes it when you scratch his forehead. And, you can hand-feed him cubes. I think it's so funny how they chase your truck when you're dropping off cubes. All the cubes are already on the ground, but there' might be even more in the truck, so they keep up with you.
Huss It's a Romeo. ! That's a wild boy there. ! I love the fact that they all have personalities. The one that You raised she came up and had you pet her. That was neat. Great video.
They sure are in fine condition. I feel like reaching out and patting them. So soft warm coats.
I love when you are able to do close ups on their faces …looking at their serene countenance is a slice of Heaven! Thanks Dusty!🤩😎👍✅🙏🙏🙏
Look at the size of his head. They are amazing! Love when we see up close.
Big Joe is just a majestic bison. He walks towards the camera and you just know he’s special

Let’s hope that they see this comment xxx
Basic conformation makes me guess QH
@@starlawilson4103 Yes, she's a QH... I was curious if she is foundation bred, but my guess is that she is. Her temperament is so nice!!

Everyone looks great. Can’t wait until the red dogs start showing up. Cora is really pretty. Take care!
They sure are beautiful. I love their behaviour between each other. They have there own style but they definitely know they need each other to survive strong in group. So beautiful.
Love it when a Cow squares off on a Bull!🦬🦬🦬
It never gets boring watching your Bison.

Bulls usually only fight when they are same size

Texas cow (#11) and Big Joe. Can't wait to see how big the calf will be. 🦬

I love it! They had you surrounded and were planning on keeping you. lol
Belle Star looked gorgeous in the shot of her!
Another fence jumper! Lol
Cora is so pretty. I can't wait to see how she develops!!
Texas cow (#11) and Big Joe. I can't wait to see how big the calf is. 🦬
Big Joe is a massive and handsome beast. Almost looks prehistoric.
Dusty you are really learning how to switch the Bison around. That was pretty slick. Nice to have a friend to help you train Cora.
Pretty little Cora and handsome rugged Big Joe. What a crew with Hoss about to get schooled by his elders. Just bought a double order of the Original Bison Sticks 10 pk cause my husband can't live without them. They are indeed the best meat sticks we have ever tasted.
“meat sticks”, not really sure why, but that sounds so…crude 😅 Meat jerky maybe?
I love the way they run after you and rub their heads on your truck. Clearly they adore you... and the pellets. Truly the bison "Trail Mix".
Doesn't seem like Joe is too worried about "competition" and the cows told him a few manners perhaps? 🤣 Guessing Hoss know spring is right around the corner :)
At 18:58 you said "Stay Brown!" . Love it hit the rewind button 3 times. Too funny.
The bison - what beautiful animals! Thanks so much for sharing what you do.
What a beautiful day it is there! I love the sky when it is so blue! 💙

You're getting to be an expert bison rancher. You're experience shows.
What a beautiful herd
this is why fence jumpers are usually culled as soon as they're busted. They teach the others they can jump and then it becomes a big problem.
What is culled?
@@jeannevanderbeek4652 removed from the herd, usually sold or slaughtered.
