Stumbled on this video. I graduated basic at Ft Jackson in 1995 and my parents came down from Boston for my graduation. Spent the weekend off post with them in a hotel. Went to a mall, out to restaurants and a movie. Was a great weekend. I'll tell you though, watching them leave on Sunday afternoon when I had to report back for AIT was tough. 28 years later I can still feel it. Army Pride!
34 years ago, I was out on this field. 18 years ago, my oldest son was on this field. On Sept 4 and 5th, my youngest will be on this field. As we say in the Army, it doesn't rain in the Army. it rains on the Army.
29:29 I’m from Seattle and a junior in college. I’m planning on jointing army reserves next year once I graduate. My recruiting officer is really supportive on my decision and actually encouraged me to focus on education before enlisting.
Congratulations Soldier and proud parents. I picked this to see what to expect for our trainee son when we attended his graduation. It’s so cool to see the love and support your son is receiving. Especially that back rub! I’m sure he could have used one for every day he was training. Best wishes and prayers to your son and his career in serving our country.Hooah🇺🇸🙏🏼
@@DLI002 nope/yes pass with all 1 just didnt pass because the surgery i had but i had a waver for it so im good to go now just waiting on one more paper and im go sigh my contract
@AG07SC05 on his graduation you should return him to his barracks at 1900 hours or you can drop him off to his AIT location after graduation day, but it depends on the location. That’s what I regret we didn’t drop our son to Fort Lee VA. Mention that to your son when he’s almost done to his Basic training so he can process the paperworks before his BCT graduation.
@@JMTINFamilyhello, my bf graduates from fort Jackson on October 31st and I also was wondering if they could leave the base after graduation and return back at 6pm?
@stacy2788 Not so sure but they might go straight to there duty station once they graduate or they can take a leave off. Coz Ft Jackson they went to their AIT nxt day after they graduated.
@@JMTINFamily we just found out from my son's recruiter that he will have a few days off then go to AIT, and then after that he will be able to come home for 10 days. Thanks for your reply
Hi! Follow your husband’s Battalion FB page. And you can also purchase his photo at Fort Jackson Photography and follow their FB page. But don’t purchase a lot coz u will get the same photos that he will purchase at his bootcamp. At least you can buy a mug with his picture, so the Fort Jackson Photography can let u access on their FB page. God Bless your husband on his basic training!
Nice, I saw it was familiar, I went to MEPS last month and that’s where I went, I’m 31 married with two kids, made the big decision to join, I went passed my asvab and physical, just waiting on a waver, hopefully it goes threw 🤞 if it does I’ll be able to sign my contract this month, can really use the health insurance for the wife,

Thank you.. God bless you and your family! 😊❤️
