      Females have lower standards to be in the military, if they didn't give them that 95% of them would be kicked out......hell, they don't even make them cut their hair.....your daughter didn't accomplish anything.

    I just watched this whole video. In the process of going through Meps and I’m out! I seriously cannot wait to be standing on that field making my family proud and representing the greatest military in the world!

    I will never quit

      @@kennedylawson5434 absolutely. The process is slow and long for some and quick for others. I’ve been in the process for 5 months now. My recruiter sent up my medical packet almost a month ago after I had to go to a dr to medically release me for a knee surgery I had 4 years ago. Everything went good so we were set. Now just waiting on the Army to give me the go ahead to get my MEPs physical. It’s a waiting game at this point but I’ve been using the time to get into better shape and prepare and study for basic. I suggest you get the Warriors ethos and Army values down packed and you’ll be 1 step ahead of everyone there making things just a bit easier. I wish you luck brother!

    I graduated BCT at Fort Jackson on December 2nd 2021. I went on to AIT at Fort Lee and graduated as a 91B from there in early April 2021. I am now back in my home state serving by completing my weekend drills and two weeks in the summer with the PA Army Guard. It's cool to see the family and friends perspective of these two days! Once I graduate college at PennState University with my BS in Management in 2025, I plan to go Active Army. Then apply for Warrant officer and try to fly Helicopters. Congrats to all the solders in this video and all their families and friends. Hooah, This We'll Defend!🇺🇸

I'm going alone by plane and will not have a car so at which ceremony will I be able to have my phone and bag? or do I leave it at my hotel? And ill be to taking a taxi to gate 4! so what time should I get there so I won't have to wait in the cab while the meter goes it LOL.
    me waiting by standing is fine but waiting in a taxi might cost a lot for me! thanks for the advice!

    • @TroyTube
      @TroyTube  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I replied to someone else’s comment on this video with a long explanation so you should read that if you haven’t already. As far as flying in, I’m not sure. I know I saw a taxi on post so they do let them in. The base is very large so you’re not going to want to walk from the gate to the field, IMO. You should find the Facebook Group for your soldier’s battalion and perhaps someone can provide more advice on flying in.

    • @TroyTube
      @TroyTube  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      When you're driving down there on I-77 south, you'll see signs that say "Graduation" which takes you in Gate 4. We found it easy to go in/out of Gate 2 which is the next exit. When you get off the exit at the bottom of the ramp, to the right is a huge area with Walmart, Chik-fil-a, McD's etc, and if you turn left the gate is right there
      When you're on post there's a blue line on some of the roads that you follow and it takes you up to Hilton Field and if you're staying on post it's even easier. No vaccine proof required or anything like that, but for some reason they tell the soldiers it is required. When you first get there to get in the gate you have to show drivers license for each person in the car and your car insurance and registration.
      They have people directing parking but not when you leave so no one knew how to get out. As you are driving down the field they will direct you to park. If you get lucky and get to park on the right side it's easier to get out as you drive to the far right and go out a different road than the one coming in the gate (from going into the gate you basically go clockwise to get out). If you park on the left side it will just take you a bit longer to get out because you have to drive to the far right through the other parking area.
      What we were struggling with was everyone said, "Be there and line up at 7am" so we thought we were going to be standing out in the heat waiting to get in for two hours. The "lining up" is cars lining up waiting to get in the gate, as soon as they open them you can park and go in and get a seat. The later you get there, the fewer seat choices you have and they seat you by company in front of your section where you're soldier will be. The family day thing as you saw was like 5-10 minutes and you get to right down there onto the field to greet your soldier. Getting there at 7am and waiting two hours seemed like 10 minutes to us.
      Also, they all said not to take a bag in because the line will be long to have bags checked so no one took bags in and the normal line was huge and no one in the bag check line. On graduation day I took my camera backpack in, no problem and didn't have to wait at all, but we were in line at 6:45am, too. Bleachers are covered, sun is in your eyes for like 30 minute tops so look for a good seat about half way up and don't look for a shady seat, they are all shaded by like 8:00-8:30am. We had 809 graduating so you'll have to gauge based on the size, if it's double that then it will be busier, of course. We had really good weather and by the time it's over each morning it still wasn't that hot, at least not for us.
      After you meet your soldier on the field, most people go back to their bay with them. Leave your phones/cameras in your car as you will not be permitted to take them into the bay.
      My final tip is to be prepared for an experience you will not forget.

      Are you psycho?? EVERYONE is in step here, unlike some marine graduations I've seen! This graduation is WAY better than marines! Plus marines are too arrogant and cocky for me!! I'd take the United States Army anyday!!

      Marching is not what Soldiers do. We fight battles, win wars. That’s what we do.
