They get taught discipline and ti study all of those small things. If these dopes were in the military they would of been receiving a worse punishment then being video taped

My company had something like a casual Friday 4 times when I was in Germany. We wore all civilian clothes that day. Company Commander wouldn't let you mix Army and Civi though. AR670-1 says you can wear the PT jacket, the fleece jacket, and the PT hat with civies but our Commander didn't allow it

Back in 2004 I was walking around the mall with my grandfather who served in Vietnam, when suddenly this guy in a fake uniform passed us. Gramps was about to tear him a new one but as soon as he spoke to the guy, he goes: "Oh, no I am so sorry. I just came from a play rehearsal." The look on gramps face was priceless.
The US army uniform was different in Vietnam as that was 40 years ago. Unless your gramps was keeping a close eye on all the uniform variations over the past 40 years, and memorizing them precisely, which is unlikely.
I served fries back in 96 to 2000 1st mcdonalds battalion 19th cheeseburger division. I received a purple hamburger bun for dragging a buddy away from the fryer I caught some pops of hot oil. rapid deployment unit lunch rush

Stolen valor is a very emotional issue for vets. Service members take great pride in their uniforms. Seeing someone misswear the uniform is like spitting in our face. Its crazy disrespectful, especially for those that lost close comrades in the line of duty. Stolen valor also makes it more difficult to identify real vets with metal/physical trauma that need help. Essentially people who claim stolen valor are in some way trying to profit off others actions without considering the damage it's conflicting. It's the exact opposite of the everything the us military stands for, everything that embodies the ideology of most us veterans.
I'm probably one of the few vets that don't care about this stolen valor stuff. Every time I see them I just laugh at them and move on. I got better things to do than to get into some shouting match with some homeless drug addict with mental issues.
Stolen Valor= Understood. On the other hand.. just because they see someone in full fatigues, it doesn't give them the right to harass and humiliate that person.

I actually tought that to be a good idea till i dug deeper into the dog. See, some of the k9 doggos are trained to parachute with their operator, which would surely work better with a smaller breed than a malinois/shepperd in that regard but since the doggo was not a terrier or spaniel but a champagne purse, well... The US army uniform was different in Vietnam as that was 40 years ago. Unless your gramps was keeping a close eye on all the uniform variations over the past 40 years, and memorizing them precisely, which is unlikely.

Stolen valor is a very emotional issue for vets. Service members take great pride in their uniforms. Seeing someone misswear the uniform is like spitting in our face. Its crazy disrespectful, especially for those that lost close comrades in the line of duty. Stolen valor also makes it more difficult to identify real vets with metal/physical trauma that need help.
Essentially people who claim stolen valor are in some way trying to profit off others actions without considering the damage it's conflicting. It's the exact opposite of the everything the us military stands for, everything that embodies the ideology of most us veterans.
