If the child of destiny had a specific person in mind, it can't be xehanort because he was born in Scala ad Caelum. But he does have a crown in the art work, so he is in quadratum to help out sora along side strelitzia. Where as Sora is extraordinary in a multitude of ways, and has seen alot more adventures than people realizes, nevermind the fact he is from Destiny Islands. He quite literally summoned Wreck-it Ralph for whom only one person interacted with. The biggest hint Tetsuya Nomura gave.
I suspect a release after E3 season. Like the day we see the new KH4 trailer. There will also be a missing link trailer, and the game will drop that day.
I have a silly theory with no real "facts" to back it. But what if sora was just a reincarnation of xehanort, we know reincarnation exists in the KH lore now. And it has time travel, so why not have sora be the reincarnation or xehanort, he did travel to the present and was defeated by xehanort, so in all reality he could be the reincarnation of him. Would there be a point to this? Nah but wouldn't that be wild.
