I’ve really enjoyed watching you guys make these videos! They’ve brought a lot of thoughts to me about running a coffee business and the ways I could be approach things differently. A video on burrs and their differences was definitely necessary, especially for people new to coffee or looking to make purchases for their business/cafe. With that being said, I think there was a missed opportunity to have your tech involved in this conversation as it looks like there was a lot of speculating and assuming involved in some of the deign and functionality of each burr set. Would’ve been great to hear the thoughts from someone who knows the internal design and works on these grinders all the time.
Very nice video!! Sounds like this is your first conical grinder in the shop. Considering how deep you guys go into coffee I would have thought there”d be one in the shop just to compare flavor profiles from each of the platforms. Have a great New Years to you and yours.
When we put the Robur S in at DGC the first thing we noticed (other than the grinder staying cool under stress) was that the 12PM cappuccinos tasted just as good as the 6AM cappuccinos. The Robur is a tiny bit less consistent in dosing compared to the Kony, but it’s a trade-off for the speed you get. The shots are so forgiving that it isn’t a big deal in practice. Enjoy the new grinders!
I love it, Valor! You're helping me on this coffee start-up journey at 15!

Loved the behind the scenes! Would enjoy more discussions like this but also enjoy your usual podcast format all the same
