I'd love you to do The Dark Tower- a book adaptation that tried to please fans of the story and those who'd not read it, and completely alienated both!
He could do "The Stand" or the original "It" series for the same feel, and that's just King stories (although honestly, the end of the Dark Tower series just annoyed me with King adding himself to the story, let alone picking again on the guy who hit him and killed himself over all the crap he took for hitting a guy walking on the wrong side of a country road)

And if they tell me a story about someone I know, I say, " He's from the first movie!" It really freaks people out, and I love it! Thanks!
‘So then the Witch uses the space battery to send a bulldozer to kill Supergirl because she accidentally made the man fall in love with her. Why are you calling Security?’

Dan Murrell (Current ScreenJunkies Movie Fights champion and 5-time former Movie Trivia Schmoedown champion) wrote out Luther's plan in bullet points when they scripted the Honest Trailer for the movie. You should still add the wide eyed graphic designer character by dropping them in whenever there's questionable cgi and art direction and play it off as if they've always been a part of pitch meetings. To implement it'll be super easy, barely an inconvenience
I would love to see you do a Pitch Meeting for David Lynch's 'Dune', one of those movies where the good bits are awesome and the bad bits are super awful!
In addition to all the nice words everyone says about you, Ryan (which are all true, by the way) - the fact that you leave in the special guest appearances by your cats is much appreciated, Ryan.
It is so cool that you found such an inspired graphic designer for your thumbnails. Pretty crazy that they make thumbnails look like themselves but I guess that's the world of TH-cam, everyone just kind of looks like different versions of themselves.
You know what would be a fun idea for a Pitch Meeting? You should do a Double Feature episode of Barbie and Oppenheimer when both hit theaters in 3 weeks!
So many options; 1) Double feature episode 2) Make both pitch meetings, then upload them under reversed titles & thumbnails 3) Make one really confusing pitch meeting for both at once
The whole idea for Batman v. Superman was inspired by Frank Miller's DARK KNIGHT RETURNS. But in DKR they'd known each other for years, they were old friends but there was also growing tension as they'd begun to follow different paths -- the stakes were so much higher. They didn't get tricked into fighting by some villain's idiot plan, and they didn't stop fighting for some idiot reason.
Love your videos! Please do a pitch meeting for Southland Tales!!! It'll be super easy! Barely an inconvenience. I am going to comment this for as long as you make these, until you make it. I will never give up. This is my thirtieth attempt.
Ryan in Pitch Meetings has made me re-evaluate movies. I tried to watch Blade of The 47 Ronin and could not stop noticing how a character would say a line then *pause* another character would talk. Watching how Ryan has pulled this off made it so clear when there’s a bad director
Hey Ryan, Some glowing, very nice words and then: Do you watch other movie-critique type TH-cam shows besides yours', like Honest Trailers, How It Should Have Ended, etc. or do you worry about the prospect of (seemingly) stealing a joke or idea? Love what you do and especially love these behind-the-scenes episodes. Letting people get a glimpse at not only your process but also the real you as a person only makes your art that much more enjoyable. Thanks
I wonder if these videos are making actual studio executives feel like complete idiots. Because that's literally what these videos are doing and I love it😂

Hey Ryan, love the show! It's hilarious! Just curious if since you've been doing Pitch Meetings if you've been approached to do any comedic acting in a real TV show or movie?
"So the movie can happen." has become my go-to answer whenever I'm watching a movie with someone and they're like "but why did character do dumb thing?" 😂 It honestly does help me get over bad/lazy bits of writing and let me just enjoy a film for what it is though.
I love that you do these. The video's themselves are good fun but it's really interesting to see it switched up with your perspective on the video's. Also interesting to see how critical you are at your own work. Makes me wonder if the video's you are really critical of did worse as well?
Watching this years later, it reminds me of early Simpsons, you know what you were watching is good, clever, just did not hit as hard and fast, but you stuck with it and it eventually it gets better and better. love the growth and development of these.. Always good!!

It's always nice to see you look back on your oldest pitch meetings. I hope you do The Last Jedi when the time is right.
Love these “revisited” videos, input from the creative process is very interesting
Hey Ryan! Love your videos. I was wondering if you've ever felt pressured to do a Pitch Meeting for a certain movie that you didn't want to do? Or at least pressured into doing it by a certain time
For example potentially feeling pressured to make a Pitch Meeting for a movie in the MCU while it's still in theaters instead of an "older" movie
@@metheus108 I liked that part of it. When taken in context of the greater King universe of novels and short stories, making himself a character really worked for me. I'm a huge fan though, so I might be biased.
The movie was horrible, no two ways about it.
There’s a weird lesson here, I think.
Give King to Ron Howard and you get that.
Give Star Wars to Ron Howard and you get Solo.
🤔
I’m just forever happy how you pointed out the ridiculousness of them completely stopping the fight because their mom had the same name. Pretty sure I laughed out loud in the movie theater and completely checked out at that point.😂😂😂 of the millions of options they had, someone really sat down in a producers office and let that get all the way to the big screen.. absolutely mind blowing.
Batman came to the conclusion he was nothing more than the robber that killed his mother Martha (if he went and kill Superman...)
@@Apexapee then he went and killed everyone at the warehouse. great character development.

Hey it gave us some of the best DC memes ever.
You're awesome!!!
And so cool that you even discussed your own mistake in a video. You're hilarious AND transparent. Thank you for being you!!
Just wanted to let you know that I have been using your catchphrases in everyday conversations 😂. For instance, if someone tells me they are sorry or that something will be difficult, I say "barely an inconvenience!". And if they tell me a story about someone I know, I say, " He's from the first movie!" It really freaks people out, and I love it! Thanks!
One of my favourite pitch meetings 🎉🦇v🦸♂️
A rogue ‘u’ slipped in there.
Whoops. Whoopsie. 😂
@@TimTE01 British spellings are tight!!
I love this. You should do a pitch meeting for Supergirl (1984).
‘So then the Witch uses the space battery to send a bulldozer to kill Supergirl because she accidentally made the man fall in love with her.
Why are you calling Security?’
PLEASE do pitch meetings for the 70s/80s Superman movies. They would be so funny.
All the dDC and Marvel shows from back then.
I would love it if he uses the wigs from Star Wars Episode 4 for that
I'd like to see Pitch Meetings for a lot of older movies, like Apocalypse Now!
I’m still waiting for Classic Films like Casablanca or Citizens Kane.
Revisited is a brilliant idea, I was going to watch the meeting again anyways, getting the directors commentary as well is just a bonus! Super easy, barely an inconvenience.
It's in a different video, but you guys going after those in the comments saying "barely and inconvenience" is fantastic. I love it.
❤ these retro pitch meetings!
Love when a pitch meeting introduce more lore of the Ryanverse
Dan Murrell (Current ScreenJunkies Movie Fights champion and 5-time former Movie Trivia Schmoedown champion) wrote out Luther's plan in bullet points when they scripted the Honest Trailer for the movie.
He said it went on for pages and he had to cut a lot of it out for time when they listed in the final Honest Trailer.
He's great, btw. You guys should collaborate on something.
They did!! th-cam.com/video/W8bQrTdgNSo/w-d-xo.html
I love that art director guy that makes the thumbnails. 😳👍
I actually have a suggestion for a pitch meeting revisited video: Hotel Transylvania. I especially loved the fun little gag about producer guy shutting his brain off, had me laughing for quite a while. Would love to see what you think of it now, keep these videos coming George Ray-On!
He usually pitches movies most of the audience has seen, and that's not one of them, unfortunately.
@@davidm5707 You'd be surprised of the amount of people that know about that movie
"Ohhh, almost forgetting important pieces of exposition is TIGHT!!"
it’s certainly a fun watch!
Your missed opportunity joke was fantastic!!! Loved the image!
Wow wow wow, revisiting old pitch meetings is tight
Wow wow wow

Wow
5:35 Great Bat Deals are exactly why I come here. The Pitch Meetings are a nice bonus
You know what would be a fun idea for a Pitch Meeting? You should do a Double Feature episode of Barbie and Oppenheimer when both hit theaters in 3 weeks!
wow wow wow wow, that'd be SICK!!
So many options;
1) Double feature episode
2) Make both pitch meetings, then upload them under reversed titles & thumbnails
3) Make one really confusing pitch meeting for both at once
Screenwriter Guy: "I actually have two movie idea-- oh oh no! I, uh, dropped the scripts... I'll just shuffle them together, it should be fine."
I’m waiting for Barbie MEETS Oppenheimer!
@@SeiranSong This is the way

that rope suspension bridge art behind you is awesome.
You're editing skills for comedic effect are excellent!
Ryan nailed it: Lex’s plot is mind-bottling!!
Thanks, Chazz.
I really enjoyed Ryan’s first ever starring role in “Asteroid City”. Great break out role 😂
Wait you mean he's actually in a Wes Anderson film? No way.
@@rogueguardianLol 😂 No, but the main character looks like him
My favorite thing about these revisted meetings is trying to guess what he is drawing, imma say a bat, hopefully this isnt a message i regret
YAY i was right
@0:14 he, um, gave it away...
I didn't understand what Ryan meant by not putting in the big eyed designer joke, I remember it clearly, it was a big moment from episode 100.
I really enjoy Ryan George v Ryan George!
I've been subscribed to this channel since the start and I'm so glad to finally see a good bat deal. Makes it all worth it.
Hey Ryan,
Some glowing, very nice words and then: Do you watch other movie-critique type TH-cam shows besides yours', like Honest Trailers, How It Should Have Ended, etc. or do you worry about the prospect of (seemingly) stealing a joke or idea?
Love what you do and especially love these behind-the-scenes episodes. Letting people get a glimpse at not only your process but also the real you as a person only makes your art that much more enjoyable.
Thanks
I wonder if these videos are making actual studio executives feel like complete idiots. Because that's literally what these videos are doing and I love it😂
I genuinely laughed out loud at the googly eyes joke. That was good.
What film was the most painful to watch for Pitch Meeting, and how many times did you watch it?
I'm guessing it's the Star Wars Holiday Special!
Mom: "We have Star Wars at home."
Star Wars at home:
I'm guessing it was the Twilight series. When he "breaks" character at the end, I got the feeling that was Ryan showing us those movies almost broke him lol
Hey Ryan! What do you use to edit, and what would be some editing tips you have?
Love these re-watches and the additional info, everyone i show your videos to loves them as well. Keep up the good work, and thanks!
Hey Ryan, love the show! It's hilarious!
Just curious if since you've been doing Pitch Meetings if you've been approached to do any comedic acting in a real TV show or movie?
This would be dope and really meta if he cameoed as writer guy or producer guy.
"So the movie can happen." has become my go-to answer whenever I'm watching a movie with someone and they're like "but why did character do dumb thing?" 😂 It honestly does help me get over bad/lazy bits of writing and let me just enjoy a film for what it is though.
Mine was always "because that's what the script says" but I respect his version of it
Understanding Lex's plan was super difficult, very much an inconvenience!
I love the googly eyes ! It attracts my attention to your PM's when I'm scrolling to find new stuff to watch on TH-cam !
I love that you do these. The video's themselves are good fun but it's really interesting to see it switched up with your perspective on the video's.
Also interesting to see how critical you are at your own work. Makes me wonder if the video's you are really critical of did worse as well?
Is RRR going to be a gateway to more regional movie pitch meetings?? Cause that'd be exciting
Bringing things back that were already hilarious is tight
I mean, screenwriter guy is rehearsing "Yes sir, I do!" for years now, surely producer guy will eventually get the hint.
Watching this years later, it reminds me of early Simpsons, you know what you were watching is good, clever, just did not hit as hard and fast, but you stuck with it and it eventually it gets better and better. love the growth and development of these.. Always good!!

Did you guys know Ben Affleck has been in the most films as the character batman but never received his own
Right?😢😢
Kinda like the Hulk over on Marvel, right?
@@ChineduOparaThe Hulk had a movie in the MCU though; it's just no one cared about it. Unless you meant when after Mark Ruffalo starter playing the MCU Hulk; the first MCU Hulk was Edward Norton before he got replaced.
Well, clearly that's what he's referring to, because he's talking about actors within the role. Otherwise, "Batman" has had several movies of his own
@@Matthew-ve7uv While this is true, it never hurts to check, especially since the main difference is that there *is* a solo Hulk movie within the MCU yet it's *very* easy to forget it even exists. So I wouldn't blame anyone for just...not knowing it exists, especially when it pretty much never got referenced again beyond General Ross (R.I.P. William Hurt).
Fan question: do you ever watch a movie or tv show just for the fun of it, or do you only watch things to make a pitch meeting? Is there anything you were planning on pitch meetinging but changed your mind?
Related question: can you enjoy movies without thinking about work now?
Hey Ryan, is their a chance you might make more pro tips (on this channel or screen rant) or was that just a limited series.
Thanks Ryan I appreciate what stuff is like behind the scenes. You still haven’t done a Pitch Meeting for Scream 6. I would like to see that. Thanks.
