It's not like I am burned out on Dominion. In fact I still play Dominion online every now and then. I might record some of it for fun at some point still, but that's a big might, especially because I got a lot worse due to not playing regularly anymore. I am also pretty disappointed in the official online "client" in that there has been about 0% progress in the last 1,5-2 years and there is still no matchmaking, the interface is still extremely clunky and some card instructions are still handled in ways where playing with real cards actually lets you play faster. ;)
In a nutshell, buy enough cards that give you +X actions and/or +Y cards that you can draw your entire deck every turn (or at least a good chunk of it). That should allow you to play all your treasures, which should allow you to buy a Province every turn (either with your 7 coppers plus one more coin, or +1 money from a Market, or +2 money from Militia, or...). With a bit more money, you can make this Province/Duchy every turn, or perhaps Province/Province.
It really depends on kingdom, which type of engine and what your opponent is doing, so it is mostly down to experience. You obviously want to be able to do whatever you're building the engine for as consistently as possible, so more is better, but then again you don't want to overbuild, because your opponent is doing stuff too. ;) So I can't really give good advice for that. The only general advice I can give is: When you are behind, build less and play more risky, unless you know that your opponents strategy will stagger. When you are in better shape than your opponent, build more and play safer unless you know the game is in the bag. When it's even try to stop building one turn earlier than your opponent, especially when you are not first player. However, to do all that, you need experience. ^^
It was the official version from Goko. They lost the license some time ago and it has been down ever since, mostly because it was a terrible implementation and they were really slow adding features. The new official one is by a company called 'Shuffle iT' (some of those guys are actually top-notch Dominion players) and is played over at dominion.games/.
I didn't make it. It's the old official online client for Dominion. The new one is on dominion.games/ (and is considerably better than the old one ;)).
I am appalled at your lack of manners. I don't know the author's nationality but I suspect that English isn't his mother tongue therefore he was making an effort to speak in English so people like you can enjoy the fruits of his labors. Could you make such an explanation in another language?

18:21 Engine strategy
26:30 Rush
Thank you for making these vids. They're the best dominion vids I've seen so far
Thanks, good to see an example of the main strategies!
192 cards, with 10 chosen, with no repetitions, order does not matter, ergo combinatorics.
n! / (r! * (n - r)!)
1.48 * 10^16 combinations.
Math needs emojis.
correction: like u said order does not matter, so the formula is actually: n!/((n-r)!)
love your dominion videos wish you would make more

Thanks for uploading these, very helpful
Great video, thanks! does the rush strategy work without gardens in play?
Thanks for the video! Could you explain the second strategy (Engine)?

Dieser Deutsche Akzent 😂sehr nice
How do you know how many of each action cards to buy for a proper engine, given the size of your deck?
It really depends on kingdom, which type of engine and what your opponent is doing, so it is mostly down to experience. vergeofapathy I've been playing regularly for months, and I still suck. I have no sense of how to balance an engine.
Is there still an online dominion app like this? I'd really like to try it if there is
yeah, the official one is now: dominion.games/
made by some cool dudes from the community. ;)
What PC version / program is this from please?

Great explanation, thanks
Hey, do you know where to download a copy for PC, or can you still do so in 2018? Thank you
Thanks for the help, dude!
how did you make this video interface? great vid btw
I didn't make it. It's the old official online client for Dominion. The new one is on dominion.games/ (and is considerably better than the old one ;)).
vergeofapathy Is it free?
@@derzohan6630 It is free to use the base game and sometimes one expansion. You have to pay for more than that
Workshop but no gardens. Sad.
Lediglich an deiner Aussprache lönnte man ein wenig arbeiten, ansonsten super Video.
P.S. meine Aussprache ist auch nicht besser :-)
Nächstes mal einfach in Deutsch 😂
haha dachte ich auch
