    Sorry, I don't get the difference between the Explore card, which is 21 euros, and the 1 month card, which is 26. You get unlimited travel with both of them? I'll be there for 3 weeks. Which option should I buy?

    *correction: should be pronounced SLEE-MA. (thanks to Yanik Cutajar for the correction, see below for details)

    • @yanikcutajar5882
      @yanikcutajar5882 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, it's neither. SLEE-MA (2 syllables) would be, 'Slima' in Maltese phonetics. SLEH-MA (again, 2 syllables) would be 'Slema' in Maltese phonetics. 'ie' is considered as 1 letter in Maltese, meaning that, 'Sliema' has 5 letters, not 6. The, 'ie' sound in Maltese is somewhere between the, 'e' in, 'he' and, 'ea' in, 'bread'. I cannot think of any English word with the Maltese, 'ie' sound and it is possible that people who are not used to it cannot tell a difference.
      No offence, I just love phonetics and felt obliged to point it out. Great video nonetheless!

      @@yanikcutajar5882 Hey Yanik, thanks for sharing and not at all, appreciate the feedback and well-noted for my understanding and others :) Always great to get some clarity on it as I had difficulty on pronouncing it as everyone around me said it differently. I've edited my reply to reflect what you said.
      Thanks for the compliment on the video!

      Hey JC, I haven't had experience with group tours in Malta but I would say it depends if you prefer to learn about the historical sites or want to see more natural sites. KBA

    Malta has the worst bus service I have seen in a rich country. Buses are infrequent, and often late and crowded, if they turn up at all. Sometimes they just drive past. They stop running ridiculously early, mostly 9-10pm. I advise people not to holiday in Malta for this reason.

    • @OneTechTraveller
      @OneTechTraveller  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for sharing your experience others will find it insightful. Considering it is the main public transport definitely it should be made available for longer, especially on routes connecting around the island, so travelling around is best to plan ahead or factor in longer waits.
      Still Malta is pretty small and isn't the worst to get around. Hope they can improve the service though for the future!

      I'm in Malta as a tourist and have travelled around the island with no problem. Even evening are night buses which I've not used but very easy to use
