  • Ginger is one of the things I reach for when I’m in pain or a family member is in pain. I reach for this food-like medicine regularly, and I’m quite serious when I say this. I use it for many things and use it in many ways.

Hi Donna, thank you for being a kind and giving human, so many are complainers and takers and I personally love your podcasts. The stories are fabulous. I have to admit I have rediscovered you after many years. I began making Kefir about 6 years ago and also perfected the process of making my own artisan sour dough bread which we could not live without. I’m lucky enough to have retired and have more time for developing the food we eat at our home and plan to complete many of your recipes whilst I listen to your fabulous podcasts. Wouldn’t it be fun for your followers to post a photo of themselves cooking in their kitchen. Well thanks for being you and sharing.

I made the ginger bug and it smells wonderful and tastes wonderful and I keep drinking it. So, I haven't branched onto making new things with it yet. Hopefully, one day. Thank you for sharing all the benefits and the recipe!

I use ginger capsules and white willow bark together for pain. It has worked well for me. Thankfully I don’t have a lot of pain. I also drink GTS tantric turmeric kombucha. It has ginger in it.
I really enjoy listening to you and appreciate your knowledge and information.

Donna I took ginger and tumeric together, put together, and fermented them in honey. Then fermented some garlic in honey by itself, when I was hurting I would add the both together in a separate pint jar, then took that and my oh my does that work. I so love your podcasts. You are so easy to understand. I just love you for sharing all your knowledge.

Donna- When making the Ginger Bug, should the ginger root be kept in the fridge or the freezer when not in use? I heard you can keep ginger in the freezer to keep it fresh. This would make sense, but I would love your opinion! Thanks so much for all of the education! I have been sharing the information with my friends and family! I just shared my first set of grains, well I forced them on my sister! I am sharing a better way of getting healthy and staying healthy! You are amazing and I am addicted! Thank you!

I was just reading the part about ginger being able to help with asthma, due to helping with bronchodilation and inflammation. My Dad was recently diagnosed with a pulmonary issue. Do you think ginger shots would help with his pulmonary issues? (I now you can't respond as a doctor per se, but I figure you may have heard of someone having good results!) Thanks!

Hello Donna just a question: Are you going to have Normal videos any time soon or just podcasts? I subscribed for videos, If I wanted podcasts I would sign up for itunes or audible. please let me know. I keep waiting for a video from you but I don't want to get dings on my phone for a podcast. Especially when I am driving. I don't even have fb on my phone or any social apps. Please let me know if you are going to strt having Normal videos again any time soon. Thank you.

Hi Grace, We do recipe videos occasionally as well as promotional videos for ebooks and the podcasts. I do plan on doing more "real" videos in the future. But trying to work everything out, it takes quite a bit of time and expensive to make a standard video. But we hope to have more soon!

@@CulturedFoodLife Thank you for doing the videos and podcasts! I have learned a lot from you and just started to follow you this morning. My first video I saw you do was the one on kefir. A friend gave me some grains and I am excited to start a new project. Thanks to you and your video, I have a great beginning understanding of the process of making kefir. thank you!

I went over to the website to see the Recipes but you have to become a member and pay to get it. I have a login and password but don't pay. How can I get the recipe for the Ginger Soda?

Mary's Nest here on youtube shares traditional recipes with normal videos, she has the recipe and is really sweet. I found her after I got disappointed on this channel. I don't pay for podcasts It's like hearing something buzz around, but you can't see it, it's annoying. This is youtube for VIDEOS.

@@graceg1971 Hi Grace! We have quite a few videos on our youtube channel. We list podcasts in multiple places to reacher a wider audience. A lot of our followers enjoy listening through youtube as well as other areas. We do plan on doing more visual videos in the future. But have to work out the logistics. Making nice quality videos is important to us and takes quite a bit of time as well as money. But we hope to start doing more this year.
