Came on here searching for a video to change my filter and found this gem! Our Samsung washer has smelled lately and we never knew we have a self clean feature 🤦🏾♂️ Thanks
We just bought this washing machine less than three weeks ago, and it washing 'clean' clothes great. If you have dirty clothes, expect them to still be dirty after the wash.
I bought this same model from Costco 3 months ago. The issue that had was that the drain hose was bent and torn. To my surprise you need to take apart the rear panel to access the hose that’s connected in the front on the machine to replace it! Terrible design Samsung! Well I return it to Costco and got another after 3 weeks the washer stopped working got an error code AC6. Had to call a technician to come and fix it. Found out that the motherboard went bad! Luckily when I called I gave them all the information wrong with the washer including the error code and the technician swapped out the motherboard and it’s been working fine. I’m doing a self cleaning on it, hopefully it keeps the washer running properly. One last thing don’t just throw clothes in the washer you have to put it in around the drum even though it doesn’t have an agitator it needs to go all around the drum to wash your clothes. Almost forgot do not fill it all the way to the top, I fill my 3/4 of the way otherwise it won’t wash you clothes. Leaving them with soap scum and dirty. Hopefully this helps someone.
You can use oxy clean + citric acid (1/2 cup of each in the bin and in the soap tray) every 3-6 months to help descale and clean as well. It's safe on rubber and plastic parts and will make the basin brand new.
Thank you! Sadly i just did this today though i have owned this washer for about 3 years. It was starting to sour really fast if i forgot to get my clothes to the dryer. I will do this regularly now
I don't have the manual. Does it say how to troubleshoot the active waterjet? You know how you can push that button on the right hand side near where you put the detergent. When I push that button the water does not dispute on the left where you can use it to pre rinse your clothes. Mine isn't working. Does the manual say how I can fix that?
These washers use the weight of your load to determine how much water it uses. I ALWAYS run a "rinse and spin" load and option for NO SPIN load. THEN I run my washing load. Doiing this adds the weight of the water on the clothes. Then when I run the actual washing cycle, it adds enough water.
I would add a half a cup of baking soda and a fourth cup of real lemon juice as well. My sister also adds one Tide Pod to hers while she deep cleans her machine. The bleach is a good start, but you need more.
I have a question?.. I assume if there is no sink to let the water run from hose , it drains outsides? May be a silly question but it’s a legit question 😅
I suppose you can run the hose outside and drain it there. It is probably good for the lawn. It also depends on where you put the washer. I put mine in the basement (about 9 feet deep), and it is probably hard for the washer to pump the water outside.
the only filter is behind the water hose connectors unhook those and rinse off the water house filter and put it back together, also on the bottom lift that blue cap with a flat head, then a bolt unscrew it then you will be able to get allot of gunk thats stuck underneath the spinner
I have the same washer, when I move the metal drum it sounds like theres water inside. Is this normal? (This is when the washer is not in use of course)
@@michaellopez3681 lol, found the answer in a Reddit thread shortly after responding to your comment. Apparently it’s normal. Some were saying that it’s more common in newer washers. From what I gather it’s a sealed ring filled with a saline solution under the drum that helps balance it when spinning. I’m going with it.

I have mine since 2019 and love it! I always do the self wash every 20 loads and yes, leave it open until it dries inside.
Awesome!

@@MyLuckyBamboo sure just remember to take the blue tray out when you put the citric acid and oxi clean there.
@@Kon-EI Will do that! Thanks

Could you use vinegar in the bleach input port as well? Thanks for the video.
EXCELLENT VIdeo !! Thank you for the step by step information. Really helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Jeesh.... man, thank you. Might have just saved me $$$.
Glad I could help!
Very well explained. Good job🎉🎉
Glad it was helpful!
How big of a bucket do i need to use for the water? My washer is on the 2nd floor
So there’s no lint filter? Where does all the lint go??
Why nobody answers the questions?
The drain hose.

It drains into your sewer drain.
did you disconnect the hose and move it to the empty sink? where do you disconnect from?
No, I did not disconnect the hose.
Where is the water coming from that you are showing the debris from.
The drain hose.
My washer even after doing self clean, it leaves some debris on clothes. Any where else I need to go to clean it
How was it try to save your money when you’re living in apartment building
I have the same machine but I can’t find the filter door? Is it in the back of the washer?
Thanks for the help
I don't believe this model have a filter.
@@MyLuckyBamboo thank u. Does what I thought.
He does tell you that this model does not come with a filter.

Why not unbolt the plug in the middle?> Thers a bolt you take out to lift the bottom spinner out and clean it underneath?
I wished it was that simple.
Cómo se lavan sábanas grande witch is the cicle to used
You can wash them in a normal cycle or delicate. Just make sure you put it around the drum. Don’t just throw them in.
Why does my Samsung wash machine smell mildewed in musty all the time
It needs cleaned
I also leave the lid open often after using. I put white vinegar in the bleach cup
Thank you! This was very helpful! ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent DIY video.
Thanks!
Does it have filter? I didn’t find it
No filter on this model!
@@MyLuckyBamboo thanks for your reply, I've looked for it many times

Let me know if you find an answer! Mine is doing the same thing!!!!
@@sierrarutledge-pf8kv sure thing, Im wondering if this is normal or if the pump isnt working properly and not removing the water that we're hearing
Today I discovered that I’m hearing the same thing. Never noticed it before. Did you ever find out if that was normal?
@@pabloroboto no haha kinda just forgot about it. Lmk if you find an answer though

Is it normal for the water to come up to the top on clean cycle
Yes it does this in order to clean the drum. If it doesn’t fill 3/4 of the way there’s something wrong.
does it clean all the way to the top?
Yes, I think so.
Good video my friend
Thank you 👍
Can I use pods?
You can use liquid detergent or pods to wash.
Thank it was helpful ❤
Thanks for watching!
I have the same but i cant find the filter!
I don't believe this model has a filter.
He tells you in the beginning of the video that this model does not have a filter
My Samsung top loader WA45T3400, the warm setting is ridiculously hot, definitely not warm. Horrible
Instructions say to add bleach to the DETERGENT bin, not the bleach compartment.
Is this true? Can we confirm
@charliez3978 I went to Samsung's website and looked it up.
My manuals says to put liquid chlorine in the bleach compartment not thr detergent bin.
@dcelaya04 it says for self cleaning, not when used for regular use (clothes).
My manual doesn't even mention to put anything. Just start Self Clean!
Even if I use the self clean, it still smells musty and mildewed
It is recommended that you use the "Self Clean" every 20 loads or every month, and open the lid when not in use.
Leave the doors open when not in use
Thank you so much. ❤❤❤
You are so welcome

Hello
Hello
People don’t buy it
UB equals unbalanced
Just spread the clothes all around evenly and you won't have the unbalanced problem.
Dishwashing machine is whack
This is a clothes washing machine.
