I hope one day that Transformers : Scramble City OVA episode is released in the United States. I hope this happens and it will include the Japanese audio.
I don't understand Japanese but I like the Japanese voice characterizations not as much as the English ones because of what I'm used to but still pretty cool.
This probably should've been released in the US, maybe it could've made the movie stuff easier to accept. For example, the fact that THIS is where Ultra Magnus made his debut.

As a kid I couldn't stand Rodimus. But watching it 30 years later. It was a brilliant but failed gamble by Hasbro and because of that, we are never going to have Star Saber or leaders other than Optimus or Bumblebee.
It feels in the gap to a point. Trypticon appearing here actually constitutes a continuity fluke (I won't say error here given TF: The Movie didn't get shown in Japan until 1989 as opposed to America's releasing it in 1986 and therefore leaving Japan unaware of the Movie fast-forwarding the continuity's timeline by 20 years) given season 3 of the main show established that Trypticon's creation came 20 years into the future. But yes, outside of that detail, this does fill in many gaps going into the Movie and post-Movie years.
The way i do it is using a rgb scart to hdmi upscaler box into my hd capture box then capture at the max setting possible before editing and uploading. id love to get a time base corrector to smooth out the image more but they cost far too much at moment.

I know Transformers is a co-production and USA was important for this series. But this one sounds off and I'm saying also for japanese people, they do not liked it.

ただ当時ロボットポイント貯めて、VHSを購入した映像がこうして観られるのは嬉しくもあり、悔しくもあり。
OVAスクランブルシティ発動編は私が子供の頃トランスフォーマー第一作本放送当時ビデオデッキが無かったため観れなかったが大人になった現在やっと観られて嬉しかった。

It only has the commentary track because Toei refuses to release the audio for some unknown reason.
It's been released for years already got mine long time ago, Japanese audio with english sub. To find with english dub is only made by fanmade

G1では最重要声優の塩屋.喜多川.江原.速水さんが、その他扱いでクレジットされてるのに凄い違和感です。ちゃんとバンブルやスカイワープなど出てるのに。おまけに堀内さんのシーンが一つもない！
当時の東映動画(日本におけるTFの製作元)は青二プロダクションとの繋がりが強く、青二から独立した声優事務所「ぷろだくしょんバオバブ」からは起用しづらいような雰囲気でしたね。
ただ、青二所属だった塩屋さんまで扱いが小さいのは確かに解せないです(HMにも未出演でしたし)。

版権は外国企業が持っているため、使用料がバカ高い。 故にスパロボに出すのは無理だよ。今の状態でも作品使用料がカツカツなんだから。
仮に参加できてもオンライン版かつ期間限定ユニット（期間を超えると消滅）になるよ。
更に、元々ライバル会社であるタカラトミー発の玩具シリーズ(但し、勇者シリーズ等のサンライズアニメ作品は、現在バンダイナムコグループに吸収されている為、スパロボシリーズに参戦しているが…)なので、タカラトミー＆ハズブロの両玩具会社の版権問題が絡んで、スパロボ参戦はまず無理でしょう。
その前に、勇者シリーズ等のサンライズ作品がスパロボ参戦前、タカラ時代にリリースした「BRAVE SAGA(ブレイブサーガ)シリーズ」を発売しましたが、サンライズがバンダイナムコグループに吸収された事をきっかけに、本シリーズは残念ながら無かったことにされ、同じくタカラ時代にPS2版で「トランスフォーマー」のソフトが発売されましたが、こちらは初代〜「THM」迄のキャラクターが登場するも、台詞が英語吹替かつ日本語字幕スーパー版と言う、我々日本人にとって厳しい内容でした。
その後タカラトミーとして合併以降、TVゲームソフトの発売は皆無の状態になった為、今後「TFシリーズ」の日本制作ゲームソフトの発売は期待しない方が良いかも知れません(号泣)。

気にするだけ無駄、本編のテレビシリーズと厳密には繋がってない玩具販促ビデオなので…。そもそもこのビデオアニメは日本のアニメ製作会社が作ってるから脚本の連携がグダグダ…。まぁ…ザ・ムービーもかなりテレビシリーズと連携取れてなかったけどな？このビデオに出てるスクランブル合体戦士が誰も登場しないし…。
