So is pretty obvious that having the same range of power of the other cars on a car that is much lighter helps a lot. I would like that all this tests were made with manual transmission and in this particular case, using a BMW 5 series
The bmw e90 has 50/50 weight distribution, RWD, shorter wheelbase and over hangs than the other sedans. This is what gives it an advantage at the track.

The big surprise was the Audi. Big and heavy with AWD that notoriously understeers, yet it held its own pretty well! In the wet it would probably have won! The Toyota looked quite twitchy in the handling! :-o
unsurprisingly the smallest car wins with a big motor wins. They should have used the BMW 5 series instead of the 335i. That said, I'm really impressed with both Audi A6 and the Infiniti G37
The 335i heatsoaked badly should have won much more easily. The Audi has a supercharger so it didn't heat soak as much. The G37 is NA so it performed consistently. The GS350 and the E350 are simply underpowered.
Bmw is amazing everyone all over the world knows that except in America because people here dont care about and know very little about handling and only care about straight line speed ...but for true drivers bmw is an amazing car

I wonder what would have the result been if any of them had manual gearbox :) considering the power differences between them and also such advantages as AWD vs RWD, this looks more like a competition between gearboxes. Surprising that 335i is barely catching the others it took him 5 laps....

Owned 3 of these cars but had 4 of those engines. Aside from just driving skills or Luck, the 335i is hands down the quickest and best handling car. I owned the G37 coupe, 335i, an e350 and a Lexus is 350 (I am assuming it's the same motor in the Mark X).
This is more fun to watch than the F1 nowadays

To make it equal you have to switch that car ( the Audi equivalent was A4 and the Mercedes, the C Class and so on)

この型の3シリーズクーペとv36セダン乗ってたけどのんびりと軽やかに走れてよかった。パワーは充分ある。今はV35スカイラインクーペ乗ってる変わり者

They are all pretty close in weight if you look up their specs. E350 is the heaviest at 3792, but the 335i is OVER 3650lbs.
