I remember repairing Cheeta Turbo's from years back, it's amazing to think these modern controllers still use these same tiny microswitches. odd arrangement on these though, or is that the norm now? Last shoulder buttons I fixed were on a duelshock 2
Yes, you're right - not much changed over the years did it? With the XB One controllers I personally think they went with a bad design. It cannot be coincidence that the RB and LB are failing in these controllers like this. It could be poor quality original parts but they certainly don't build them like they used to. Look at the original XBOX controller and PS1 controllers for instance - they are built to last!
Opened my pad to have a look at the RB button because mine isn't working as well. Got up to the part were you said you need a soldering iron, which i don't have. So i put it all back together and now None of the buttons are working except the big X and the d-pad. Hi I know this video is a bit old but I'm having a weird issue with my LB bumper. The left edge of it comes out a little so I have to be careful not to turn it while playing anything, the weird thing is the button still works it just pops out a bit occasionally.
Years later... My RB button, clicks, sounds fine, feels fine, no sticking, it doesn't feel jammed or anything. But for some reason is constantly registering the button being pushed. NOT FOR A SECOND is the button not being registered
had problem switch clicks but only registers half the time- resolved by actually spraying a good dose of electrical contact cleaner on the internal button once you have the cover off and give it a few presses or even a few light presses with a screwdriver and then give it another spray and wipe of the excess - this also works on badly functioning buttons and pads. Sometimes I think dirt or grime builds up on either the button or mechanism and little spray fixes it straight away.
I have a similar problem with the mouse I use with my pc, the microswitches always go bad after time, it's a pain in the backside when you try and drag and drop files and it lets go because of a faulty micro. I've lost count how many times I replaced them, I could get a new mouse but I like the feel of it.
Haha - I had the same problem with my Dell mouse. I really love the mouse and got used to it, but after 3 years of hitting the right button like mad whilst shooting zombies in Left 4 Dead, it gave up the ghost. I bought a second identical mouse and keep the old one for spare now as the buttons are a bit unusual.
thanks for the video - you showed me exactly what to do - yeah that front panel - I thought I was going to break it but it was a great help seeing you pull it apart... lucky for me the bumper switch was just dirty - clicks but only registers half the time- resolved by actually spraying a good dose of electrical contact cleaner on the internal button once you have the cover off and give it a few presses or even a few light presses with a screwdriver and then give it another spray and wipe of the excess - this also works on badly functioning buttons and pads. Sometimes I think dirt or grime builds up on either the button or mechanism and little spray fixes it straight away.
I wish mine had just been dirty... The good news is after the last video I did on this, that button is still in there today and still works (same controller I use).
It could be the copper contacts sticking inside the switch. Utlimately you get either the switch not working at all, or occasionally staying stuck on. And it doesn't always stop clicking. You could try spraying contact cleaner into the switch - sometimes that can fix either issue there when its still clicking.
You need to make sure you buy 60/40 leaded solder containing flux (there are other ratios that don't work well at all)! I will get a tutorial video uploaded at some point soon!
Hi, i know i'm very late but, my problem is kinda different. i was playing a game and then the rb button just simply popped off the controller. i tried to insert it back in, but every time i removed my finger from it, it popped off again. Then i looked closely, and saw that a little part of the plastic at the left of the button was broken. first time that happens to me, what should i do?
there is no fixing it unless you buy a brand new piece i had the same thing happen to me, brand new controller was just playin For Honor and boom it popped out tried pushing it back in and broke the latch on one of the ends that held it in, i had ducktape holding it for awhile until i finally bought one this christmas lol..
does anyone know if the elite rb and lb buttons are the same as the standard old Xbox One contoller buttons? I want to order ones but all I find are elite buttons.
I am not sure then - eBay would be my first guess, but I don't think the plastic parts fail very much. You're best bet might be another faulty controller to use for parts =/
GadgetUK164 thanks I've ordered off eBay before to customize my controller they've worked fine but I have a controller from the first Xbox One that came out I just didn't know I'd the buttons for the elite controller were he same as the first Xbox One controllers. I think they are though thanks.
I found it! -40 watt soldering iron -solder sucker These items take away the solder points, but they can be dangerous, so be careful with them. Can excess 500 Fahrenheit so keep it ventilated and take away the dust after removed, don't inhale.
Hello, i have some issues with RB and LB buttons, i have to press them harder in order to get them trigger. If I press them only until the "click" sound still nothing happens. Is this normal? Should I go back to the Xbox 360 controller for PC ?
Thats no Zaku! Thats no Zaku! To be honest, they don’t come in pairs and they aren’t specific to each other, so if the plastic on the actual bumper snaps, then you can just replace it with another number without having to replace the actual button, and same the other way around.
I have bought 3 controllers in the past year and they all have had the same problem and it’s that my rb isn’t as clickable as my lb and after a month my button double clicks when I only click it once do you know how to fix this?
They all probably need new switches (as per this video). Common behaviour is they don't click any more, or they click but dont register, or the register mulitple times (bouncing contacts in the switch).
It's possible you have a crack in the PCB or a fault somewhere on the board, but it's also common for the button to still click but not register. I would suspect swapping the button out may fix it. Some people suggest trying to blow air into the switch by putting your lips around the area of the plastic part and blowing into the controller. That can sometimes get it working again if its just a dirty contact.
So the problem I have is my RB is don't really know how to explain this, but when I turn on my controller it's like the rb is pushing it's self but I have no rb in my controller don't know if its a fault with that controller... Hope that made some sort of sense
Sounds like a controller fault then. When you say "have no RB in my controller", I assume you desoldered the micro switch (not just remove the plastic RB button)?
GadgetUK164 - Retro Gaming Repairs & Mods Yeah I removed the RB and LB to see if it was the RB stuck, but once I done that it was still doing the same thing. Think it's the micro switch, annoying because I only bought that controller 4 months ago
Yes, if the microswitch is still soldered on there - it will be the microswitch! They either stop pressing, OR they are so worn they stay stuck down and can intermittantly fire on their own.
I had the same issue as him. I had to press really hard. I decided to open up the controller as shown in the video, fold a receipt i had (I folded it 4 times) and put it in between the circled button on the microswitch and the bumper. Now It works like new. I barely press the bumper and it registers the click!
If its not clicking when you press it, you will need to order a replacment and use a soldering iron to replace it. If the switch still clicks, you could try spraying contact cleaner into the switch, but its best to disassemble the controller first in order to be able to spray contact cleaner into the switch.
If it is still clicking, try doing what some people have suggested in the comments - put your mouth around the shoulder button and blow air into it - that sometimes gets them working again for a period of time.
I think a 6mm x 6mm x 4.3mm tactile switch will do the job, or you can just buy something like this:- www.ebay.co.uk/i/391498281641?chn=ps&dispItem=1&adgroupid=45192391362&rlsatarget=pla-327465395450&abcId=1129006&adtype=pla&merchantid=113811848&poi=&googleloc=9046527&device=c&campaignid=861899735&crdt=0
Just desolder the 2 points on the metal clamp, and the 2 points on the switch. The switch will then come off the board, with the metal clamp thing on it. It then can easily be seperated from the switch.
You can buy the same kind of switches from most electronics suppliers (6mm x 6mm x 2mm I think), or something like this from eBay:- www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-XBOX-One-Controller-LB-RB-Shoulder-Bumper-Button-Switch-/162216016560?epid=599838789&hash=item25c4d3fab0:g:qJoAAOSw7ApZxteR
GadgetUK164 Thanks. It's bloody annoying trying to play a game with it. So I've had to revert back to my wired pad which my son has managed to break as well. Joyous and thanks kids.
Possibly - I cannot remember what buttons are on the 360 controller. The ones on the XB1 are 6mm x 6mm x 1mm tactile switches (standard off the shelf part).
@@GadgetUK164 I don't know why they made the RB and LB have levers to hit the internal button. That's strange. Just put the electronic button right under the plastic part you press.
Hi, I haven't been able to find a similar situation to mine so I'd appreciate your thoughts! My LB clicks fine but only registers 1 in 3 presses or if I hold it. I've taken it apart, cleaned it and blown it out with compressed air which hasn't helped. The common theme has been to replace the switch if it stops clicking which mine hasn't. Seems it should be fine... Thanks
Hi =D That's normally an indication that the switch needs replacing! I've had a few where that has happened! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - normally either the contact is dirty in the switch, or the switch is worn to the point where it can be intermittant.
just had same problem switch clicks but only registers half the time- resolved by actually spraying a good dose of electrical contact cleaner on the internal button once you have the cover off and give it a few presses or even a few light presses with a screwdriver and then give it another spray and wipe of the excess - this also works on badly functioning buttons and pads. Sometimes I think dirt or grime builds up on either the button or mechanism and little spray fixes it straight away.
I'm having a problem where the lb is being triggered by very small amounts of pressure. Even when placing my hand over it, it triggers any advice would be muchappreciated.

It's possible there's a crack or break in the trace on the PCB. You could inspect with magnification and test with a multimeter on continuity test to make sure the trace(s) are OK. Beyond that its possible theres a fault with one of the main ICs on the controller.
100% agree, this also applies to the cheaper Chinese LCD screens. Buy OEM or a known brand for replacements or if you salvage parts the sky tv box has a bunch of re-useable stuff *buttons (same type thats used in this video) *hdd *LED etc
Absolutely - I've got a black DS which I swear has a replacement bottom screen - contrast and colour just doesn't look like my other DS bottom screen. Always a good idea to salvage parts from dead modern equipment - I don't see anyone wanting to collect Sky boxes in 20 years from now ;)
READ THIS PLEASE! If you LB or RB buttons are not working, take off the 2 panels on the back of your controller, press the trigger down for more space and blow really hard under the bumper, then, put the panels back on, turn your controller on, and try it out IF IT WORKED, REPLY SAYING “Confirm” SO OTHER PEOLPLE KNOW!
Lol I can not believe I am writing this reply. Thanks! my rb key suddenly became unresponsive unless pushed extremely hard. This seemed to work for now!
I tried to do this and clearly screwed up, as the new button does absolutely nothing, and after removing and reinstalling I can only presume that I damaged the circuit board itself so that the new switch can't make any connection.
It might be worth examing with a magnifying glass and use contuity tester on your multimeter. If you can find the broken pad / trace, you can follow it to its destination and just bridge it with a small wire.
My RB clip is broken so my RT isn’t stable and the RB is fine apart from obviously the clip is broken meaning you can pull it out. I got it 2 weeks ago The clip is on the back making a Upside down L shape The RB Clip clipped onto it is snapped I have so many others so I’ll just take an other one apart (again)
Take a look at Farnell, Digikey or RS Online. Search for 6mm x 6mm tactile switches. You just need to measure the height of the plunger (from memory its 2mm I think).
Does it click like the LB does? Sometimes if you blow air into the RB or LB you can get them working again (provided the switch is clicking). Some people put their mouth right over the RB or LB button to blow into the controller and apparently that can get a dirty switch working again. If its not clicking like the LB does, it will need a new microswitch like mine did.
Oh guys so glad you shared your experiences. I disassambled my controller today and - after reading your comments - did two things: first I blew compressed gas around/into the switch. Put batteries back to test it before reassembly but it did not work better. Then I used isopropyl alcohol, sprayed it right into the switch, practically drenched it :D. Put batteries back to test it and it was as good as new. Ok not as good as new. The click is not as clear as the other bumper, but the switch works and my trooper throws granades again. I blew some compressed gas again two minutes later to make the switch less soaky, reassambled the controller and I am happy now with the controller. Will come back here once it gets dirty again. :D
Sometimes they still click, but they aren't working. You need to test on continuity test mode of a digital multimeter, and press the switch to see if its really working.
I need to do this repair for my original Nintendo DS. Had difficulty finding the replacement part. Finally, it seems the GBA SP uses the same button. Now i’ll check your first video on desoldering the four points!
Well done....again. Hopefully it will last longer now you got a better make of switch. This is the first time I have seen inside an Xbox One Controller. Well done Chris, nice Video.
It annoys me incredibly that the shit parts break so quickly. but well, plastic! EDIT: You gave me a great idea if it works, I simply take the working part out of another controller and build it into the "broken" controller: D
I cannot remember the exact size - you need 4mm x 4mm tactile switches, but they all have different button heights (larger ones can be trimmed down or melted down). Somewhere like digikey or RS Online will sell high quality ones. Something like this:- www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6x6mm-Right-Angle-Momentary-PCB-Tactile-Switch-4-3mm-5-0mm-7-0mm/282579452321?epid=18004955449&hash=item41cb0c41a1:m:m0B70bODCbk3f6Tn74AzfKQ
hello I'm been looking around videos on how to fix all the magnetic trigger especially in how to remove the metal ping holding all the plastic and spring anyone knows how...
Sorry, I've not had to look at that trigger yet so I've got no idea =/ Just take your time, it cannot be that difficult! You might need to desolder a few points first and then perhaps it unclips like the 360 triggers did?
My problem is that the RB won't stop telling me its being pressed down. I've literally take the button switch out of the controller and it still says I'm pressing down the RB. Anyone got any ideas?
Check the PCB has no cracks in the traces leading to that switch (or solder bridges linking the switch contacts closed on the board). If that isn't the issue, the IC will be faulty that processes the inputs.
In BF1 I changed the controller profile to match BF4 and Hardline on the 360 - using RB for spotting. Luckily since BFV there is no spotting any more =D
If it's not temperature adjustable - yes, total overkill and will disintegrate traces! If you can adjust the temperature to around 370F degrees F (188 degrees C), see if the solder melts, if not increase temperature until it does - then it should be OK. With no temperature control, you want something like a 15W iron.
I swear to god look at all these views, they need to make rb and lb buttons better it's so stupid the amount of ppl that have the same problem
Randy Collado and always are the right one have problem
Yeah. I cant even check down in madden. Fuck. Makes it more difficult for sure.and id rather buya new controller than do this shit.
Exactly the RB button that's broken on mine as well. Funny thing is, I've barely used this controller, yet it's broken.
Randy Collado yea fuck xbox i have 3 controller with the same issue and it’s annoying i need to buy a new xbox controller only for a freaking button
that's why they make so many controllers so that every mouth you buy a new one

Ik this videos old and i may not get a response, but did RB work when pressed down hard?
RB did work when pressed really hard!
I have an old Xbox 360 controller, I'm curious if the switches they used are the same. Maybe I could just take one of those.
Yes, I think some of the switches will be the same if I remember correctly.
Wont those soft touch arduino buttons work i used those to replace my megadrive reset button
It might do - it may even be the same type of switch (dimension wise)?
When I use mine the rb button keeps looking like I pressed it when I didn't and the d pad the up button does the same thing
Sound like you need to replace the RB button, and get a new d pad button as well.
@@GadgetUK164my rb when I press it does nothing what do I need to do with it
So i pulled it off with a fork and the whole front panels coming off
Hi my LB button clicks like the RB button but occasionally fails as if it has a short in the system what could that be?
It could be the copper contacts sticking inside the switch. Utlimately you get either the switch not working at all, or occasionally staying stuck on. And it doesn't always stop clicking. You could try spraying contact cleaner into the switch - sometimes that can fix either issue there when its still clicking.
Hey man! Do you have any video teaching how to re-solder? I tried but it does not work. It looks like the solder does not "stick" :/
The only thing broken is basically that little plastic part...
You can buy the replacement RB and LB plastic parts on eBay. Just search eBay for "RB button XBOX one"
there is no fixing it unless you buy a brand new piece i had the same thing happen to me, brand new controller was just playin For Honor and boom it popped out tried pushing it back in and broke the latch on one of the ends that held it in, i had ducktape holding it for awhile until i finally bought one this christmas lol..
Oh ok xD thanks for the explanations, both of you! :D
does anyone know if the elite rb and lb buttons are the same as the standard old Xbox One contoller buttons? I want to order ones but all I find are elite buttons.
Are you talking about the switches or the plastic parts?
GadgetUK164 the plastics parts like the rb and lb buttons
I am not sure then - eBay would be my first guess, but I don't think the plastic parts fail very much. You're best bet might be another faulty controller to use for parts =/
GadgetUK164 thanks I've ordered off eBay before to customize my controller they've worked fine but I have a controller from the first Xbox One that came out I just didn't know I'd the buttons for the elite controller were he same as the first Xbox One controllers. I think they are though thanks.
What tools did you use to take off the solder points and where do you get the farnell(element9) specifically?
I found it!
-40 watt soldering iron
-solder sucker
These items take away the solder points, but they can be dangerous, so be careful with them.
The buttons might need replacing, or maybe there's a fault on the board.
My LB clicks fine but I had to push it hard to work. After the 20th click I stopped pushing it harder. It still clicks though. Any idea on this?
Same problem - tactile switch needs replacing! One of mine went the exact same way there!
If the plastic above the broke off... can I just snap another one on without replacing the button itself?
Thats no Zaku! You mean the actual bumper that you press that clicks the button?
@@unsuboi9973 yes! The button still works
Thats no Zaku! Thats no Zaku! To be honest, they don’t come in pairs and they aren’t specific to each other, so if the plastic on the actual bumper snaps, then you can just replace it with another number without having to replace the actual button, and same the other way around.
@@unsuboi9973 sick
this is gthe most expensive controller i ever seen, and it damaged so quickly
I have bought 3 controllers in the past year and they all have had the same problem and it’s that my rb isn’t as clickable as my lb and after a month my button double clicks when I only click it once do you know how to fix this?
They all probably need new switches (as per this video). Common behaviour is they don't click any more, or they click but dont register, or the register mulitple times (bouncing contacts in the switch).
My RB doesn't work but still makes the click.
Do I still need a replacement switch?
It's possible you have a crack in the PCB or a fault somewhere on the board, but it's also common for the button to still click but not register. I would suspect swapping the button out may fix it. Some people suggest trying to blow air into the switch by putting your lips around the area of the plastic part and blowing into the controller. That can sometimes get it working again if its just a dirty contact.
what do you do ?
Hi, where can i buy good quality parts for repair? eBay is just a coin in the air.
Farnell, or Digikey or somewhere like that!
My LB clicks but i have to press it really hard for it to work can someone help??
Sounds like the microswitch needs replacing!
GadgetUK164 - Retro Gaming Repairs & Mods thanks bro ill look into it
The Gaming Nugget have you fixed it I need help
I had the same issue as him. I had to press really hard. I decided to open up the controller as shown in the video, fold a receipt i had (I folded it 4 times) and put it in between the circled button on the microswitch and the bumper. Now It works like new. I barely press the bumper and it registers the click!
Could you tell me what tactile switch you used and where you got it from pls
See the comments (above or below) - Dave from Tynnemouth Software posted a link to the part.
is there any way to fo fix that little pice with stuff that you can find at home? because I don't know when I'm going to visit the store again. :c
Ok I'll try that, thanks for answer my cuestion. 👍
Hello i'm trying to order this little switch online... Can you tell me the exact name of this piece? Thank you
I think a 6mm x 6mm x 4.3mm tactile switch will do the job, or you can just buy something like this:- www.ebay.co.uk/i/391498281641?chn=ps&dispItem=1&adgroupid=45192391362&rlsatarget=pla-327465395450&abcId=1129006&adtype=pla&merchantid=113811848&poi=&googleloc=9046527&device=c&campaignid=861899735&crdt=0
GadgetUK164 - Retro Gaming Repairs & Mods Thanks for your answer! i found on ebay the right switch...
i didnt understand the part of the video where u pull out these little metal things that keep the switch in place, can anyone explain how do i do it
Just desolder the 2 points on the metal clamp, and the 2 points on the switch. The switch will then come off the board, with the metal clamp thing on it. It then can easily be seperated from the switch.
so where can i buy the little button thing?? that my onlu issue please and thank you
You can buy the same kind of switches from most electronics suppliers (6mm x 6mm x 2mm I think), or something like this from eBay:- www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-XBOX-One-Controller-LB-RB-Shoulder-Bumper-Button-Switch-/162216016560?epid=599838789&hash=item25c4d3fab0:g:qJoAAOSw7ApZxteR

do you know a solution if your lb button keeps going up and down and not sticking in its place?
Sorry, no idea - best thing to do is take it appart to inspect it. Maybe a plastic piece is broken or something?
My RB button acts like it's on auto fire. Just started doing it out of the blue. Not sure what to do.
The switch probably needs replacing, the chances are the metalic disc in the switch is probably warped from usage.
GadgetUK164 Thanks. It's bloody annoying trying to play a game with it. So I've had to revert back to my wired pad which my son has managed to break as well. Joyous and thanks kids.
Can I take one of those buttons off an Xbox 360 controller and use it in my Xbox one controller?
Do the Xbox One S controllers suffer from this as well?
If the controller looks the same - I would suspect so. If its different like the Elite controllers were, it may not suffer from the same issue.
Hey, just wondering if you can upload the link to the website where you bought the higher quality spst ptm button. Thanks

My RB button has gone on my xbox one controller I have to press it down really hard for it to work
Yep, I've had that too lol! It's the switch needing swapping most of the time!
I soldiered a new tactile switch and the RB still doesn’t work. I’m not sure where to go from here.
If you LB or RB buttons are not working, take off the 2 panels on the back of your controller, press the trigger down for more space and blow really hard under the bumper, then, put the panels back on, turn your controller on, and try it out
IF IT WORKED, REPLY SAYING “Confirm” SO OTHER PEOLPLE KNOW!
you are a god
CONFIRMED IT WORKS
Lol I can not believe I am writing this reply. Thanks! my rb key suddenly became unresponsive unless pushed extremely hard. This seemed to work for now!
This actually works wth
CONFIRM!!!!
When I press my rb it don't work and sometimes work
can u let a link for buy the click buttom ( the thing u broke) ty ! :)
I got it 2 weeks ago
The clip is on the back making a Upside down L shape
The RB Clip clipped onto it is snapped
I have so many others so I’ll just take an other one apart (again)
How many watts are on your soldering iron? I have 25 and I'm confused if that's enough to do the job...
I used a 15w iron when I did it. A 25w will be OK, just don't heat the pads for too long and you should be OK.
Ok, thanks.
Link to the higher quality switch? Thata, great video
Take a look at Farnell, Digikey or RS Online. Search for 6mm x 6mm tactile switches. You just need to measure the height of the plunger (from memory its 2mm I think).
@@GadgetUK164 Awesome, you're the best.
@@Herb. Just had to edit that comment I posted - its 6mm x 6mm, with 2mm on the button height I think.
Where can I purchase these replacement parts I can only find the joystick replacements?
look for 6mm x 6mm tactile switches on eBay.
Where can find that click button at?
my rb isn't broken but it doesn't do anything when I hit it. do I need a new sensor button?
Does it click like the LB does? Sometimes if you blow air into the RB or LB you can get them working again (provided the switch is clicking). Some people put their mouth right over the RB or LB button to blow into the controller and apparently that can get a dirty switch working again. If its not clicking like the LB does, it will need a new microswitch like mine did.
Oh guys so glad you shared your experiences. I disassambled my controller today and - after reading your comments - did two things: first I blew compressed gas around/into the switch. Put batteries back to test it
before reassembly but it did not work better. :D
holy shit i know im 10 months late but i just did this shit and it worked!!!! time to play more microtransaction filled battlefront 2 :D
Amazingly this actually worked ... one less 10 year old kid on my back now ... hope it keeps working ;)
What's the rating on Ur soldier iron? 60watt?
The one I used in that video was just a 15W iron. I've since moved onto the Hakko 888D

I was able to figure out how the sync button is placed thanks to you - kudos!
Mine still clicks it just it doesn’t work on the console any tips for thatV
Sometimes they still click, but they aren't working. You need to test on continuity test mode of a digital multimeter, and press the switch to see if its really working.
So I guess I have the wrong damn control cause those bumpers do not fit on mines
I need to do this repair for my original Nintendo DS. Had difficulty finding the replacement part. Finally, it seems the GBA SP uses the same button. Now i’ll check your first video on desoldering the four points!

It annoys me incredibly that the shit parts break so quickly. but well, plastic!

I cannot remember the exact size - you need 4mm x 4mm tactile switches, but they all have different button heights (larger ones can be trimmed down or melted down). Sorry, I've not had to look at that trigger yet so I've got no idea =/ Just take your time, it cannot be that difficult! You might need to desolder a few points first and then perhaps it unclips like the 360 triggers did?
u fine as hell
My problem is that the RB won't stop telling me its being pressed down. I've literally take the button switch out of the controller and it still says I'm pressing down the RB. Anyone got any ideas?
Check the PCB has no cracks in the traces leading to that switch (or solder bridges linking the switch contacts closed on the board). If that isn't the issue, the IC will be faulty that processes the inputs.
I'm having the same problem
Mine doesnt work unless you put alot of force into the button
Cheers, saved me 50beans, slipped a spacer inbetween and sorted 👌
One of the few good videos i found thank you.I just have a question,my lb works somewhat but is extremely loose how would i fix that?
Sounds like the plastic part of the LB button is fractured. You can replace the LB and RB plastic parts - just search for RB and LB button on eBay.
how can you be pressing RB every 2 seconds in BF?? You have unlimited grenades or something
In BF1 I changed the controller profile to match BF4 and Hardline on the 360 - using RB for spotting. Luckily since BFV there is no spotting any more =D
GadgetUK164 - Retro Gaming Repairs & Mods ahhhhh, yeah I totally forgot about spotting
mine still works but it doesn’t work all the time any help?
Very likely needs a new switch! Thats how it starts - intermittant!
Which material is best for Screw-driver that it will not break while opening controller. Can you send me the link please?
Have a search on eBay - there are screwdrivers dedicated to removing the screws from XBOX 360 or XBOX One controllers.
Hi,It's 6*6*5 button?
I think 6x6x5 should work - if not, reduce the height from 5 to 2 or something.
What size is the switch?
Is 150 watt soldering iron overkill for this job ?
If it's not temperature adjustable - yes, total overkill and will disintegrate traces! If you can adjust the temperature to around 370F degrees F (188 degrees C), see if the solder melts, if not increase temperature until it does - then it should be OK. With no temperature control, you want something like a 15W iron.
Never would be able to do this
my Lb button does work... but it isn't clicked as my rb button... how can I fix it...
Sounds like the microswitch probably needs replacing. The clue is when it stops making a clicking noise.
