    Back watching this after a year Eddie you gained a team that was literally broken players that weren't fit enough to last 60 min never mind 90 and you transformed them from that to a team that will now play in the Champions League THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING EDDIE IS A GEORDIE

    Did Tuchel get asked why he chose to work for a Russian mobster, did Pep get asked why he chose to work for the UAE regime, did Bruno Lage get asked why he chose to work for a club owned by a Chinese company, and by extension controlled by the CCP. If they did I must have missed it. If the moralism was doled out evenly I'd have no problem with it, but it isn't.

    This just feels very right seeing Eddie. This is the man that is going to really stabilise our club for the future, I hope he’s here for many years! Not going to get any more knowledgeable than Eddie. Great to have him here. I love his positivity ambition and drive! You can just see he’s going to give it his absolute everything to us

    When I started watching football Newcastle were in the champions league for many years during the 90s and early 2000s. It’s a big club and I can see them back up there in few years

      I am not a Newcastle fan though I really wish them well I remember the scenes when they Won The Inter-Cities Fairs Cup (predecessor to UEFA Cup ) in front of 60,000 Geordies in 1969 :) and when they used to bring 10,000 to Away games in 1980;s in The Second Tier :)

    As a very amateur body language analyst… he seems very comfortable. No Mirco expressions to suggest he doesn’t believe what he’s saying. No nervous self comforting! Very relaxed, his traits don’t differ between difficult questions and easy questions.

    Very happy for Eddie Howe, is a quality manager whose very underrated, going from league 2 up to the Premier League and staying there for 5 years with small budget shows his quality. Had them playing good football too Hopefully can spend some of that money and start this new era well for Newcastle 🙏

      I used to love watching Newcastle as a neutral , great club under keegan and Robson , but in the last 5 years the fans have essentially moaned and protested against everything, they get a win and nothing , lose and they protest , they themselves have made the club impossible to manage imo

    Love the fact he knows how to handle the media. Won’t be dragged into anything other than football. Good job. No one in the media is asking questions of Man City and their owners. There are many club owners have questionable finance sources. It’s not perfect but let’s focus on them all equally and let football be about football.

    Eddie Howe shocked at Bournemouth by bringing them up to the prem and keeping them there with limited resources - what makes people think that, with proper resources, he couldn't shock again and achieve top half finishes or better? He's no survival merchant, wheeler-dealer type - this is a good appointment in my eyes.
    Excited for us, it's time to enjoy football again :)

      When you think he started at Bournemouth with a - 17 point deficits, and look were he ended up, not just getting consecutive promotions but staying there for five years, can you see any of the so called top managers doing that. Absolutely awesome, I am absolutely delighted that no of the premadonas took this job, cause this guy is the one who gets us,he gets the area, and the city, does this sound familiar, a certain KK.     This is so refreshing. When Bruce was doing analysis on whether it would be better to go with brown sauce over red in his 10am breakfast butty sandwich, Howe will have been into the training ground for 3 hours studying video and every players metrics and stats from the previous training and working out the best way forward to maximise that players potential to benefit the team .
    the slackers will soon be sidelined snd grafters will be given a chance to shine

    Full disclosure not a NUFC fan, but long time admirer, days of supermac. Great to see Eddie back, could easily be the English Pep. So hoping that he and NUFC get the success that what both have put into English football deserves. I wish you all the best of everything, not least because it will be great for the PL, cos lets face it, THEY didnt want it

      I saw my first game in 1975. Supermac scored twice. Eddie came across so well in this press conference. I’ve not felt hope like this since the days of Kevin Keegan and Sir Bobby. I will go as far as to say, Eddie has a bit of both of those two about him. He see’s things that others miss and has an infectious enthusiasm. He also has a philosophy that fits Newcastle United, attack being the best form of defence. This guy was many peoples idea of an England manager a couple of years back and that ability does not diminish. Howay the lads.

    Im a leeds fan but im more than happy to see Newcastle enter a new era in which they could be competitive and even win something. Newcastle fans have endured years of absolute rubbish. Plus we also hate Sunderland so we can both laugh at them. Good luck nufc.

    As a lifelong Newcastle fan it's so refreshing to hear a manager of ours speak and sound so switched on, so articulate and so forward thinking. Takeover and money aside I'm probably more excited about having a young, English manager at the helm who understands our footballing culture in this country as a player and coach who's worked his way up through the leagues. He sounds so ambitious, hard working and genuinely interested in making our club a better place with the values he'll bring. He's not just a big name from abroad lured in by the chance to make a big salary and use us as stepping stone. I really hope you make an undeniable name for yourself here Eddie and cement yourself as a legend in the black and white army as the first man to bring some real silverware to our club since 1955! Because being champions of the championship doesn't count! 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤

    Can say honestly I’ve wanted this man at the club for the past couple years and with our new owners I thought my dreams had ended but now we seriously have a chance as a club to get back to good old days! Champions league football within 5 years with this man at the helm is more than achievable. He took Bournemouth through the league with little budget and they played exciting attacking, controlling football. Can’t wait to see him in action and Eddie if you see this, good luck and get ready to have the best fans in the world behind your back.
