Nice to see a proper fella, good on you for helping rather than putting em in a fielld and letting them rot away ...you got another channel follow too 👌
Wow! What a nice guy! I know the feeling when you have a really rare car and missing some vital parts and struggle to find them. Then some guy contact you and says: i got the parts you need. It happened me with my Chrysler Simca 1508 GT. (Named Chrysler alpine in uk.) Some guy living 40 km from me had the parts i needed 😂 im looking forward to see the next panhard video even more now 😀👍
Bonjour, Les deux Panhard 17 B sont de 1964 et 1965. Comme la plupart des Panhard, les deux 17 B ont rencontrées un grave problème sur le moteur... 🤔 . Merci pour ces jolies découvertes ... ! 👍

Dear Tasty, you are my hero and I'm delighted you have got a donor car because now perhaps you can make your one look a lot better than something someone has fly tipped out side your workshop ! Keep up the good work and all the best :)
How lucky are you to meet Mike? What an awesome and generous guy! I think the donor PL17 will push this little project to completion. Love the content Ben!
Panhard has a record for trying to make the old look new again, after PSA folded them up for being a loss-maker for them, they were sat twiddling their thumbs, so Citroen put the guys to work on refreshing the 2CV design, and as a result, the Panhard people created the Citroen Dyane, the "new 2CV" that was meant to replace the original, and, erm, well it didn't, but at least it gave them something to do before they were lobbed out and sent to Le Job Centre... :P
For old stuck cables try hanging it vertically and every day dribble a little thin oil in the top end. Might take a week or more but I’ve recovered a few hard to get cables this way.
I have a few of them too, but they aren't really hub centre, more like a double wishbone set up turned through 90º. The upper A arm and two ball joints with a single sided lower arm. Another quirky interest, heavy but handle well for their time aka 1990s
What an ace fella. Up to his eyes in projects, a man after my own heart. I also spotted 2 Yamaha GTS1000 hub centre steered bikes in his garden, real odd ball stuff.
Fantastic update and progress, Ben (and Mike)! Was hoping you’d mention the floor situ (which you did at the end, ta!) and hope you can make one ‘good ‘un’ from 1.5 ! Keep ‘em comin’! JCHK
Who needs Google and manual when you can talk to a bloke who knows his shit! He like a quirky motor too .Fiat Mulipla. Alpha GTV and mental Panhards.. great video Ben. 😊
Respect for getting it on the trailer, bet there was a bubble coming out of your ar@e! Mike is a star, he will obviously help you whenever you need, love his enthusiasm. A real treat having this extra episode.
Hello Tasty...or Mr. Classics if you prefer. I have a question. If something is in good nic, (sp?) that is a good thing. But if someone were to nic your stereo, that is a bad thing. What is the difference? Am I misunderstanding what is being said? Love your channel.
It's a case of two words appearing identical but having different meanings, which happens in many languages. To nick something is a verb and means to steal, while "in good nick" means "in good shape", which is a noun. Both are fairly colloquial terms, not something you'd find in an official written report but words you'd happily use talking to your friends and will quite likely find in dialogues in books.
@Ragnar8504 I appreciate the response. I figured that was the case, and you have to use context. I just want affirmation, so to speak. Plus, they say that comments help the TH-cam algorithm, and I like this channel and want to help if I can. Love your user name, by the way.
This is such an interesting and exciting project. Mike is so enthusiastic and inventive. A real 'never say die' person by the look of him, perfect for restoring Panhards 😊✔
Sorry but a bit disappointed in this episode...i did not hear you huff and puff..and moan when pushing car on to trailer! 👀🤣😂 hahaha.. great episode as always... Keep it up.. loving it 👍
Ultra-rare in most countries. I live in Europe, two countries over from France, and I don't think I've seen more than two Panhards in my life, certainly only one that was actually moving when I saw it.
Thats brilliant I drive a French car here in NZ Im into my 3rd Citroen and 2nd C5 first Citroen was a Xsara turbo diesel I ran it for 7 years then gave it to my daughter and bought a C5 that was 5 years ago now I have a lowmileage MK2 C5 2.2, my other cars since 06 have been Hillmans currently a Superminx estate 34 ICH webers are available new for those to replace the 34 IV Zeniths, of couse I fitted a 32/36 twin choke because I lucked onto a new inlet manifold to suit an iron head Hillman but you could get a single choke 34 weber new for your Panhard luv this channel
People often laugh at ‘owners clubs’ but the are the custodians of years and years of knowledge, with out which many more of the older oddball cars would be shredded and die.
We don't have the wide variety of car options they do. It sux. I see cars being done here and I want 1 but they wasnt dolls here. They have so many more cars than usa
Nice to meet up Ben, look forward to getting your old girl on the road.
Nice to see a proper fella, good on you for helping rather than putting em in a fielld and letting them rot away ...you got another channel follow too 👌
Fantastique que des passionnés restaure des Panhard a l'étranger , encore plus dure de trouver des pièces .bravo à vous 😊😊😊❤
Without guys like Mike, cars like this would never get the second chance of life.
That’s donor car is going to save you from so many headaches. Mike seems a great chap, I bet he has given you parts that are as rare as hen’s teeth.

Good afternoon cool videos of your cars and what you do
That was a Great episode 🌹👌
What a brilliant bloke. I wonder if an air-cooled BMW bike engine would suit one if you couldn't get hold of a suitable engine.
It's good to have you back 😊 brilliant episode
superb video, what a very knowledgeable guy mike is he was like an encyclopedia brilliant person

Very interesting videos, Mike keep it up fella
Great vid..lovly bloke
Does the Panhard chap live beside a motorway?
Looks like it: 22:48
Yes, they built it in the wrong side of Adlington. :) I did say the microphone might struggle.
Brilliant video mike is great 😊
What interesting and nice bloke Mike is ,,, love the channel ,make a nice bit of wall art that the whole of one side :)

He didn't finish the story! What happened to the Spider on the motorway? I'm guessing with watered down oil, the engine seized up.
did I catch a glimpse of an old metro at the end of the video
