  • NOTE: I had to had some drown-out background music for certain parts of the video due to copyright reasons -- so don't complain. I apologize for that.
I thought it was about time for another store tour. This time at the 15th largest mall in the US [Millcreek Mall] (according to Wikipedia list of the largest malls in the US). Speaking of Millcreek Mall; a little fun fact for y'all: Did you know that Millcreek Mall-besides it being the 15th largest mall; was also at one point the forth largest mall in the US around the time it first opened back in 1975. Not only that; but this was my early childhood mall that I used to hang-out at a lot back in the day! Even thought much of the place has changed (matter of fact I was upset when they remodeled the place back in 2008-'09. However I got over that since then); this place has a lot of memories to me! It was actually where I first learned how to walk when I was 2 or 3-years-old -- but anyway let's get on with the actual description of the video...
Just like Macy's at C3 which is now closed -- this store was also a Kaufmann's and still has most of the architectural features and decor that was original to Kaufmann's -- especially the second floor (with the exception of the furniture gallery being removed and the remodel of the exterior entrance facade). Luckily this store is not on the list of Macy's closures-well... At least from what I know. Hopefully that isn't the case.

The Kaufmann's design is identical to sister store Hecht's design in Virginia and Maryland which were also May Co. stores acquired by Macy's.

The macys at LeHigh Valley mall has a perfectly perserved kaufmans too! It has an otis lexan and lots of stuff that Kaufmanns had.

The Macy's at Lehigh Valley Mall was originally a Bamberger's not a Kaufmanns but I can see the resemblance.

This camera work is atrocious. Do you walk around while constantly having a massive seizure? Everything is zoomed in and bouncing all over the god damn place. It's impossible to see anything.
