    Did you know the Lamborghini with the highest mileage? Owned by Simon George, the co-founder of 6th Gear Experience that specializes in the supercar experience. The Lambo Murcielago is used as a rental vehicle and is driven extensively. Simon himself puts on 600 miles a week going to close to a hundred (100) events a year where all sorts of drivers try their hand at taming a supercar. If you were wondering what that kind of upkeep costs you'll need to figure out the fuel cost at 10 mpg at about $162,000. 84 sets of tires at $97,400, engine service at $64,000 and $19,000 in insurance. The orange Murci was also involved in a crash by one of the renters to the tune of $115,000 that took the car down for 4 years. Each headlight was $7,700 and it wasn't earning during that time. That's close to $640,000 over its lifetime in a car that originally costs over $500,000 and we're not even counting the $154,000 in depreciation. That's pretty impressive stats and something anyone should consider when buying a car like this and thinking Daily Driven.

      Gotta pay to play. 🤣👍🏻. I think the truth is that cars like this aren’t made to be used as consistently as this. Regular maintenance on these cars isn’t bad, but an accident, amateurs burning through transmissions. It adds up fast. Hey, if Lambo isn’t your thing, no problem. Look up maintenance on any other car and you’ll see the same cycle. In fact, very few cars make it to this kind of mileage without serious work so just having its original engine after all that track duty is a testament to its strength.

    • @ExecutiveAutomotiveSociety
      @ExecutiveAutomotiveSociety  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! People don’t realize how much different the Aventador was from the shared platform of the Murcielago, Diablo and Countach. The earlier models did well because they were so rudimentary in design, while the Aventador was over engineered. The complication was design space and performance balance that the Aventador was made to overcome.

    No way it's only on its 3rd clutch. They don't last more than 30k miles, at best.

    Everyone comparing his to basic ass cars with a million miles, or 500k miles here. Like those are daily driver cars, meant to have miles put on. The typically supercars are meant to be driven, but not as dailies. For a RENTAL lambo to have that many on the original engine, especially a Murci with all the issues they have, that’s insane.

      Where is that! Barring the idea that number seems impossible the most I saw recorded outside this car was 250,000 range and they weren’t confirmed miles.

      I can’t believe you’re the first person to ask that! That is the magic question. If he spent $600,000. How much did it make to stick with it after it was in an accident to still get the frame stretched and fixed! Has to be a million or more.
