I'm with you. I'm striving to improve with a goal to earn subscriptions, not pay for them like so many others. I'm hoping at some point soon to hire a team that can do a much better job editing than I could ever do. I don't want it just informational. I want it fun and engaging as well. @@missingplayz4998 well just disagree on the EV vs hybrid functionality you speak because that’s not how it works, but the video’s point is you can’t ADD power numbers together and just get the accurate power number. That’s like saying if I put a 500 hp engine and connect it to a 250 hp engine I somehow magically get 750? No! The more powerful engine would overcome the smaller engine and would actually decrease the power of the bigger engine because it has more mass to move around. Hybrids are a lot heavier!

@@ExecutiveAutomotiveSocietywell if you have two motors in a hybrid car it will def add together the power of both motors. The 50 mile range is only for if you use just the electrical motor and nothing else. Also most hybrids have regenerative breaking so the battery never runs out unless you have a plug in hybrid. Now when it comes to the power loss thats not the issue with horsepower but rather with torque. More weight means more mass to move around. If you look at the new bmw m5 for example has more horsepower than previous versions but because its a hybrid it weighs more so it has less torque which means its slower.

​@@ExecutiveAutomotiveSociety You are right, its not exactly how it works. But the people who are making the cars do add them up for simplicity. They state what the combustion engine are making (lets say 500hp) and then added electric motor that can give an extra 200 horsepower. When we are looking at electric power overall, they are not meassured in horsepower overall. But if you were to put the car on a dyno and test each engine by them selves and togheter, you will probably find that the numbers do add up. A 500hp combustion engine and in full power with the electric it will be 770hp. Auto makers could for sure go the technical route and write it like it is supposed to be written with all technical information relevant for the motors, but extremly few would understand. If they do however put a combined + combustion/electric engine seperated in hp or kW, then 99% of people will understand and know the level of power in the car. And thats the goal.

@@ExecutiveAutomotiveSociety as of now, it is accurate. You can put it on a dyno and get the claimed horsepower number. With small variation, like on all cars. So I dont understand what they gonna improve? Manufactors do tend to state the combined numbers afterall. And if they do seperate it they do, atleast where I have worked, state "an additional ***hp from electric motors" not that they make said horsepower.

@@notlNSIGHT it’s a great discussion about changing model looks over time. Some people don’t like the changes of say a Toyota Celica, while others think that’s the way to go! I personally think it’s a styling choice. Like Gandini stuff looks like he designed it. Same goes for Pininfarina. If a brand identifies as that, should they change it when Pininfarina is gone? Can a brand be boring? Those choices are up to the manufacturer. I’ve seen some great AI renditions, but I don’t agree with building the same old car. The Cayman was a better car and Porsche de-powered it as to not compete with the 911. I don’t agree with that.

@@ExecutiveAutomotiveSociety A lot of good points I'm seeing on both perspectives. I think the 911 has evolved quite nicely over the years personally, but I understand why some might want change. And it is possible that Porsche could go more radical with design, but maybe their core audience doesn't like the idea of that. Ferrari did change their design language after they began designing in-house rather than relying on Pininfarina, and some of the designs have been... Controversial, for lack of a better word. Some of those cars are a little too overstyled.

I knew you'd love it! The story behind the first car coming into the US was hilarious too. The steering well is the key and the car shipped without the wheel so they had to rush the guy into the states so they could even start it. Can you imagine!

I didn’t see any supercar report for Monaco on Lloyd’s, but I’m still looking. This is the Monaco report which looks for “GeoTags” on social media, which isn’t accurate. It’s made for “spotters.” The rest that use social media say London is the capital. Right!!! I would love one!!! A dealership in Chicago I believe had one of the ‘60s style orange and blue ones and they wanted like 2 million for it! There’s got to be one or the original lawnmower looking ones for cheap!
