I have found Paused deadlifts very helpful for me in my conventional deadlift, it's teached how to not round off the floor and just be a little more powerful through my sticking point.

I used to pull conventional starting out about 2-3 years ago and was fine up until about 5 months ago where i tweaked something in my lower back. I always had a problem with conventional because my hips would always shoot up first then my back would follow shortly after. I switched to sumo in late October. My best pull with conventional was 390 w/ straps. My recently pulled 405 about a month ago with sumo. I felt like i could never get the form down perfect with conventional was worried about i injured my lower back (couldn't deadlift for about 1-2 weeks) but this video helped a-lot with the mechanics of conventional. going to be rotating this in every now and again !

When you don't lock your knees fully just before the bar comes up past them does the bar stop touching your legs just above the knee just a little bit , I'm asking this because ive got long femures as well and ive tried to lock the knees just before the bar comes past so that the bar stays in contact all the way up but it feels like it puts more stress on my lower back as you said

Very helpful! Thanks. I also miss my deadlifts off the floor, once I get it moving a very rarely miss the lift. I found the way you wedge into it very interesting. Could you please make a video on how exactly you are doing that? Thanks 🙏🏼

This is all great and useful, thanks for the content.... but you missed those pulls at 300/661 not 305.

So you don't turn your elbow in to engage our lat but you just cue to push your chest forward? I've been deadlifting for half a year now i don't quite understand how to engage my upper back.
