★ ABOUT THE VIDEO:
Is Helldivers 2 finally good? There's been a lot of controversy around Helldivers 2, but the last couple of months, the developers have been able to focus more on new content, updates, weapon balancing and overall improvement in the game. Is it worth it? Let's find out!
HELLDIVERS 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. From a 3rd person perspective, players use a variety of weapons (pistols, machine guns, flamethrowers) and stratagems (turrets, airstrikes, etc.) to shoot and kill the alien threats. Players can also aim down the sights for a more accurate 1st person camera view. Combat is accompanied by frequent sprays of blood and dismemberment as players exterminate the alien forces or players and squad mates are hit by environmental explosions or friendly fire. Enemy encampments and battlefield environments depict bloodstains and dismembered corpses.

I play this game with no friends. I always play with randoms but sometimes I end up playing more matches than I originally planned because we end up talking and having a blast of a time. I always meet new people in this game and I love the community. If you find it getting repetitive. You can go to different planets or factions. I find that every mission is different especially when I mix up the load outs.
Thanks for your comment! Especially when it comes to your positive experiences when solo queing, ending up playing with random players. It's good to hear also that some guys still voice communicate with each other when playing, it adds a ton of social value into the game.
Bought it yesterday man im having so much fun this game is 100% worth it!
Nice to hear that! I believe you did choose a good time to buy the game; feels for me since I just returned to the game to play some more, that the game has grown and improved since I last played it. Not all games manage to do that.
Let me tell ya, Helldiver's 2 was always good, it was never not good
@@Grogondorf There were a few moments where I'd hesitate to make that statement (pre-fix Meridia missions), but looking back, I can't ever say it was truly a bad game.
Thanks for your comment and feedback!
Kinda cope ngl.
@@PinHeadSupliciumwtf dumb comment
Thanks for this video. I was always curious about Helldivers 2 as I'm a PS5 player and I remember when this game first launched reviewers were going crazy over how much fun it is. I'm also more of a PVP player so I might wait for this game to come to a subscription service rather than buying it.
Thanks for your comment and feedback! Yes, sometimes it's better to wait a bit, if it's not a game you really want or "need" to play at launch :)
HD2 was good, the PSN thing left a bad taste in peoples mouths by tarnishing the good will of the game, but never actually changed the gameplay in any way for those who's countries weren't cut off, and now after further development and polish its great. HD2 was never dead, and I honestly think the large delta between initial player numbers and current numbers has more to do with the zeitgeist than the gameplay. It went viral, then the virus migrated elsewhere. 30,000-60,000 concurrent players is a very healthy core player base that will provide plenty of momentum to keep the game relevant and exciting for the foreseeable future. AH is devoted, they're in it for the long haul, as evidenced by how developed HD1 was/is. But we can keep pretending the game is dead for the memes and thumbnails, this seems fun.
Thanks for your feedback, appreciated! Yes, I believe that HD2 as a game has developed and grown in a good way. I can both see and feel that after returning once more to the HD2. By the way; I really liked enjoyed HD1...I honestly have more hours in HD1 compared to HD2, lol.
Short answer, yes!
Thanks for your comment!
I think the way you titled your video lacks objectivity though you did provide that later in your video. Helldivers2 has always been good. You did not check the required specs before purchasing and this damaged your experience when you first played, the repetitiveness of the game loop is something you do not enjoy, but that is a personal preference. I have been playing HD2 since launch and still find it very enjoyable and challenging. I like the coop PVE teamplay more than a straight pvp experience, that is my preference. there are still lots of people playing the game and there is never a time when I can't team up with randoms if my own friends aren't unavailable. Although there are ranks I don't think it's quite fair to say that leveling up is a chore. you earn ingame currency and resources to purchase the weapons/stratagems/ship upgrades you want to use nothing is stuck behind a paywall. everything can be earned in game.
Thanks for your comment and feedback! Yes, my technical shortcomings when it comes to my PC rig when I bought the game, did of course hinder me from fully enjoy the game, as I described in the video. However, players have been suffering from performance issues, even with better builds that I had eight months ago. Some of the problems has to do with the actual graphics engine that Helldivers 2 is built upon (a modified Autodesk Stingray game engine). But besides that, I believe Arrowhead has done an overall good job, improving the game in different ways (both technical, balance and content wise). And since the smoke is now mostly gone after the horrendous Sony PSN debacle, this is most likely a good time to start playing Helldivers 2 as a newcomer.
I mean the game has always been really good, people got butthurt and content creators started saying it was dead so ofc the mob of actual sheep just followed along with what everyone else was saying and decided to stop playing since that's what everyone else was doing. honestly sad that so many people just do whatever their fav content creator says or thinks.
according to the internet, if you lose any % of playerbase its a dead game now xD
and I wish if people didn't like the game they just fuck off, its not a scandal filled game that does cash grabs and needs to be called out like other games or companies, its just optimization and balance that sometimes goes a bit off and it was never "that" bad like some of the guns do need a nerf because what is the point if all the guns are useless bar 1.
I'm glad to see that Helldivers 2 has continue to improve, getting good updates along the way. Hopefully it can also recover some of the lost players over time. The whole Sony PSN thing though was bad, it probably pushed quite a few away from the game at that point, even though it wasn't the developers fault (Arrowhead).
@@allytank-itykitty7417 Thanks for your comment and feedback!
The early game is frustrating, getting the stratagems and the upgrades necesary to the ship. Also the necesary samples to get better thing for the ship.
But then, you will have so many thing in inventory that you will not know what to use.
That reaching of game, is so awesome.
Kinda hard at start, but then the curve changes.
Unless you play hard levels haha.
Thanks for your comment and feedback! Yes, what you describe is something I've started to appreciate more in the game recently :)
Looks cool bro...Cool weapons
It is a a nice co-op game, indeed. There's some pretty cool guns, like the plasma rifle I'm using in this video.
Hope you're fine, by the way :D
@@40splishsplash oh nice
@@AjaySingh-228 Yeah
yeah it was always good, just had some Teething issues for about 3 weeks for connections between PC and PS5, and the PSN thing was sony nothing to do with Helldivers at all,.
it was never bad, its just gotten better over time.
Thanks for saying! Yes, The debacle when it comes to Sony/PSN, was Sony's fault (who's one of the publishers), unfortunately it did hurt the work of Arrowhead (the devs) to a certain degree.
Bro is it really worth it because past reviews were like it takes like forever to get into a match and crashes every once in a while
Thanks for your comment! I haven't played Helldivers 2 in a long time, and when I do, I party up with friends. With that said I haven't experienced lately how it is to solo que. I did play the game again with a friend again a couple a weeks ago, and we didn't encounter any crashes. But that doesn't mean that it can't happen.
It was always good
Thanks for your comment! I would say it's better now than before.
Most definitely worth it
Thanks for filling in!
