2:43 one thing you missed on the sub machine gun is u can run and shoot with it u dont have to aim. And since its kne handed you can continue running while spraying backwards.
I could have but I left it out because it didn't feel like a huge upside to mention...it's way more inaccurate so unless they are with 2 meters you hit less than half of your shots & the gun empties just as fast so you still end up with nothing.
Currently the gun it comes with is the second best in the game with a significantly higher DPS and anything but the sg 225. Definitely worth a purchase for that alone. All the others items are very fun as well.
10-20 super credits per hour? I gather that per mission if not more between the 2 person activation bunkers, the random containers, and the gold beacon supply pods. I usually find 2-3 super credits a mission and they're 10 a piece I think the most I've ever found was 50 in 1 mission
I tried not to pick the best possible rate as a standard :) 10-20 p/h is from a casual perspective, not everyone goes actively scouting the map for POIs and only loot what they stumble upon. 50 in 1 mission is great though!
Given that we're supposed to have one warbond per month, I think it's completely viable that, if you just really like playing Helldivers, even casually, you can probably get a warbond without paying, which is super super cool. And if you play the game religiously you probably won't have to supplement with super credit purchases in warbonds at all unless you want to buy a cool cosmetic. I think the point of the cosmetics rotations is that they're a form of soft support, intended to pay extra just to get a cool looking piece of kit considering they're expensive... Which I think is pretty alright.
I bought the battle pass, then upgraded to deluxe a couple days later without knowing it comes with the battle pass because i didn’t know wtf Warbonds was.
Buying super credits (SC) isn't really a must, as you explained it's possible to gather them just by playing and exploring the mission map. But the meager amount you described, 10-20 per hour is not at all correct and only applies if you play missions slowly by doing all main objectives, and side objectives and fighting every enemy you see before you extract. It would help if you instead consider doing farm runs on easier difficulties since the place you find the SC on the map is always the same and very easily located by checking the map for minor interests. Once you pick them up they're yours to keep, you don't even have to extract which means you can abort the mission when you've explored everything and depending on RNG gather around 200 SC per hour solo. You could gather nearly 30 to 50 SC per run, depending on your difficulty and luck. Either way, this method is the fastest right now and is also good for farming medals since just like SC, once you've picked them up they're yours. Keep in mind that SC as well as medals and samples are shared with your team, which means you could get even more SC per hour by spreading out and collecting everything quicker.
Hey, thanks for your time taken to write your reply. I know 10-20 p/h is low, I aimed at the casual player who only loots what he or she comes across, not actively looking around the map for POIs and stuff. I've just seen enough people go straight for the primary and nothing else. They would be 10-20, everything upwards to 50 would be a win then :)
You're absolutely right about most people skipping over the points of interest and by doing so losing on the amount of SC they could get every mission. I thought it would be good to also inform players that there are very fast and effective ways to gather SC, and since it's such a big part of the game already it's a hot topic in my opinion. Great video, by the way, keep it up! 👍👍👍
You're also right, I planned on including a more complete overview of SC farming in a new video: I'll make sure to include it. Thanks for the compliment!

Now they just need to work on the login issues.. i mean, if the biggest problem you have is that too many people are trying to play your game you must be doing something right.
Thank you very much in the end I decided to go for the base version since I didn't have that much money to spend, but I'm happy to know that I can still unlock the Premium Pass, in the time I played Helldivers 1 and what a great game.
i like the deluxe cuz it does not give you advanteges above others, and the devs said so as well, it is just a means to support them and look badass while at it
I bought Super Citizen for the helmet. Just love the look of it, and it fits well with the other uniform parts that come with Super Citizen so I'm wearing those as well. I don't use the title ingame because that would take away the joy from me for unlocking a new rank every few levels. Also like to support the devs.
Interested to know what happens if you upgrade after purchasing the steel veterans war bond as I am thinking of doing lol. Will let you know when I eventually upgrade.
Actually nothing in the sense that you've already unlocked it. However, people have contacted Arrowhead CS with exactly the same issue and were reimbursed for the initial 1.000 Super Credits purchase.
I’m pretty sure the guns in the premium pass are advantageous over the standard battle pass. Some have special abilities and different stats all together. So it’s not exactly cosmetic only. Almost P2W but I’m glad they have an option for obtaining the premium battle pass through gameplay. Great decision on their part
Strange even though on Steam its delisted but its still purchaseable... "At the request of the publisher, HELLDIVERS™ 2 - Upgrade to Super Citizen Edition is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search."
Bought it just $90 worth of cash you also get Premium pass buying the edition a permanent upgrade you can buy separately anyway either way you don't need to re buy when a new Premium page Begins.
@@immythicalweapon3757 Either way if you bought standard and buy the pass seperate you get the pass of Steel Veteran event if a new event comes out say next year and your worried you have to buy it again. @@immythicalweapon3757 Yeah the pass as ArrowHead stated is universal once you bought it and a new page or pass drops next year you can do it straight away no cost nothing unlike Fortnite and Apex Legends where you have the buy a new premium pass every year. Glad to read you liked the video, I'm already working on a Helldiver's Tip Guide since I've lots of different questions in comments and from what people having been asking in-game.
Honestly it’s really not worth it, the armor set isn’t that unique with how much people bought it, and the title doesn’t really matter. Cause at some pint you’re probably going to change it to a better one. It’s just like other games with starter editions, u use it for a little at the start then end up ditching it later on
great video. especially liked the part about the battle pass. i feel like others didnt include, that you can unlock the premium battlepass without spending money/getting the edition :)
If it's blue and white with a "mohawk"-helmet: then it's a preorder bonus armor set. If you haven't pre-ordered; this is one of 3 armor sets now unavailable. However; it's passive is available on 3 other armors in the game (1 from Super Citizen Edition of the game and 2 from the Helldivers Mobilize Warbond)
When I buy that will it finish the battle pass for me I’m getting the game Tuesday and I don’t want to miss out on any armour sets from the battle pass also I’m not sure but I’m hoping they stay so if someone buys the game a year from now they can just pick what war bond they want to buy first
Hey! It will NOT "finish" the warbond wheb buying the Super Citizen edition, it will merely unlock access to its contents. You still have to unlock each piece of gear individually with medals. Also, warbonds are evergreen so you always have access.
I loved the first game, so that's why I bought the super citizen edition and I'm not dissapointed, I'm also really happy that the gear isn't p2w, everything can be earned in-game at a fair rate, to me this is preferable to being required to pay for each DLC, at least now I have the option to just buy it or pay with in-game earned super credits if I play a lot, it's a lot more consumer friendly, yea people on steam are still salty, I don't think they realize even the premium shop stuff you can buy with the in-game found credits...
@@SirStefanGaming yea it's a bit sad, first it was reasonable complaint in the industry because the monetization was really evil, but this is probably the closest it gets to being consumer friendly, all you need to do is play and as a result you don't have to spend a single cent, seriously, people are getting mad about nothing these days.
Note that you do not need to buy 1000 super credits to get the steel things. You can also grind your way up you can find small bits of super credits in the pods. So yes, you can gain access to everything by the time you finish the first warbounds section that goes to page 10. 🎉 Actually, probably even sooner already got 700 super credits after playing 30 hours, lol
It you make that your only goal in life (together with medals) you can actually make beyond 200 super credits an hour. But playing normally and just taking the right path is probably the sweet spot, unless you just really wanna have that daily armor today, or want to get the premium pass day one.. which you then cannot afford to fill with medals anyways.
What im actually curious about is whether you get something else if you already unlocked the premium warbond. Like, they should have just made it 1000 super credits to be honest. I'd really like to support the devs, and the helm at least looks pretty cool, but 20 bucks is too much for that and i personally prefer to grind for credits online, so ill likely unlock the warbond the coming days.. and at that point ill probably just never get the super citizen upgrade despite wanting to support the devs. It would have been a really good idea to split it, 10 bucks for the cosmetics would be totally fine.
No you don't get any replacement item if you've already unlocked the premium warbond and then get the Super Citizen Edition. Basically your 1 unlock from the SC Edition "fizzles" when you have already unlocked it with 1.000 Super Credits. So you pay for it as part of the price but it doesn't get you anything.
@@SirStefanGaming Thought so, but that kinda sucks. Like, for all involved parties, as the devs will lose money with this too. I dont think they thought this through very well.
I'm sure there's people going full out to get 200 SC p/h in friend groups or coordinated teams of randoms. It's more something I'd include in a advanced tips & tricks video/
@@SirStefanGaming You actually just solo trivial missions and quickly run over the entire map, collecting every POI you find, and DONT do the actual mission, then quit back to ship. That yields about 200 or more SC per hour, but nothing other than SC and medals, obviously. If anybody attempts this tho, please dont do it on planets we actively try to defend or conquer, since quitting loses quite a bit more progress than winning yields.
What's upsetting is that since the helldives deluxe edition comes with the premium pass, I had already own the premium pass before upgrading and I was not compensated 1000sc I payed for the pass.
I hope arrowhead moves into the direction of allow players to unlocking more gear and rewards through challenges or just in game activities since the game was priced. They have a good chance of creating a years worth game if they continue, this was a good video to watch. Maybe all the these “free” to play games could learn from this.
Only reason I got super citizen was because on ps5 i was already thinking it was going to be $70 for base game, saw that wasnt the case and got the $60 edition 🤣
I’m going to be honest I bought the standard edition, and after playing the game for a while seeing the quality of the product, how unintrusive the microtransactions really are, how the fair price of the base product, after about a day I decided to support arrowhead and upgrade to it just to support a good product
Honestly. Because I had zero expectations for this game and was beyond surprised at how the game was. Yes, they earned the extra 20 bucks because they made a hell of a game. I dont pay for the bonus because I wanted the content (I did but not enough to spend the money) I paid the extra because honestly the company did an outstanding job and its my way of contributing and helping them out in my own way.
Yes, because I loved Magicka 1 and 2, loved helldivers 1, am loving helldivers 2 and the devs at Arrowhead deserve it. And I want them to support the game for as long as they can
One thing i would like to know is if you have got the steel veterans already, but then want to get the super citizen upgrade, do you get reimbursed for the super credits spent for the steel veterans warbond?

oh absolutely, theres some real game changers in that second warbond.
What happens if you already have the steeled veterans war bond and buy this does it give you 1000 sc
Unfortunately it doesn't. You get everything from the SC edition apart from the unlock.
Doh! Just to clarify for future Warbonds coming out: you don't NEED to spend money to buy them, you can just unlock them with Super Credits.
Did you get compensated for the super credit you spent after upgrading?
NOPE@@Turkialasbali
That's an oversight on their part@@ChrisBtw
I only got it to support the devs, Helldivers is one of my all time favorite games.
DO YOUR PART, CITIZEN. you have a duty to SUPER EARTH to dispense liberty and freedom throughout the solar system and how else but through the added firepower of the M98- Knight, the practice of the Stratagem station which acts to improve you inputs for the field, and lastly and most importantly with the DP-53 Savior of the Free armor set that says HELL NO communism and certain doom with the added bonus of a 50 percent survival chance from lethal force through the sheer will of your own PATRIOTISM. Don’t just be a cadet, soldier, go beyond the call of duty by being A GAWDDAMN SUPER CITIZEN.
Looking to buy the game and this actually made up my mind about which version to get, perfect 😁✌️
Wow! Glad the video could help out; have fun diving!
I can comfortably say that the upgrade was not worth the money for what I got in the package BUT I'm enjoying the game so much that I'm happy to give the studio a little extra for providing such an awesome experience.
At your service :) Yeah that's what's so great about the Warbond system, no need to rush since they will remain available at all times.
i like the deluxe cuz it does not give you advanteges above others, and the devs said so as well, it is just a means to support them and look badass while at it
thanks for the content, you just saved me 20 bucks.
Glad to be of help
very well explain it solve all my concerns about that bundle !!!
I bought Super Citizen for the helmet. Just love the look of it, and it fits well with the other uniform parts that come with Super Citizen so I'm wearing those as well. I don't use the title ingame because that would take away the joy from me for unlocking a new rank every few levels. Also like to support the devs.
the question is. Are you a helldiver from the first hour? cause this is the perfect set to free the galaxy. Must buy for every fan
Accidentally got the steel pack before upgrading, but still happy to support these developers
Yes it is. It gives money to a small team trying to deliver an amazing experience and they deserve it.
This is exactly why I upgraded after playing for a few hours
I bought the base version and played up to level 10. Enjoying the game so much I upgraded just to support the devs in making a great game.
Bought it today, went for the SC Edition. Can’t wait to become an elite peacekeeping force member tonight after work!
Welcome to the family 😁
Excellent breakdown of the cost!
Strange even though on Steam its delisted but its still purchaseable...
"At the request of the publisher, HELLDIVERS™ 2 - Upgrade to Super Citizen Edition is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search."
That seems like a weird approach but nonetheless Arrowhead is saying the option to upgrade will remain available.
Fantastic breakdown, earned a subscriber.
Glad you liked the video, thank you for the sub, much appreciated!
Great video bro! Thank you for the information. :)
Thanks! Happy Helldiving!
Great video. Appreciate the depth.
Bought it just $90 worth of cash you also get Premium pass buying the edition a permanent upgrade you can buy separately anyway either way you don't need to re buy when a new Premium page Begins.
You’ll always have the premium pass whenever you upgrade to the deluxe edition?
@@immythicalweapon3757
Either way if you bought standard and buy the pass seperate you get the pass of Steel Veteran event if a new event comes out say next year and your worried you have to buy it again. Nope you don't need too that Veteran pass is a one off buy and permanent so rolls over with you and you buy the deluxe edition it's all the same whichever way you buy.
@@AlukardTheDeathknight so if some other premium pass were to come out I’d get it at no additional cost?
@@immythicalweapon3757
Yeah the pass as ArrowHead stated is universal once you bought it and a new page or pass drops next year you can do it straight away no cost nothing unlike Fortnite and Apex Legends where you have the buy a new premium pass every year. On Helldivers 2 you don't need to it rolls over with every pass and that's what Arrowhead is saying Buy once your in for life no more charges and yearly fees and who knows if every year a new pass comes out you just grab it in the shop for free imagine Apex and fortnite did that HAH yeah nah they need all that money.
@@AlukardTheDeathknight danggg okay I’m boutta buy that fs, preciate it bro
Was thinking of buying this game. Had the exact question you answered in this video! Keep up the good work!
Glad I could help!
I would wait until they fixed the server.
I bought it just to support the developers what a amazing game they made!
i managed to buy the premium warbond after 3 days of playing, i'm level 18 right now
great
Thank you for lining out the differences!
yeah ive been playing the base game and because how loved the game is and the creators made such a good game I wanted to support them by getting the super citizen edition
I would spend another $20 just to support these guys. We need their approach to become the “new normal”
Awesome Breakdown On The Upgrade, Cheers !
HELP: Has anyone else not gotten their Super Citizen Items after purchasing the upgrade? I am missing the cape, helmet, title and armor. Im on PC (Steam) and I've tried every solution available.
Hey, that sounds aweful, first time I've heard this happen to someone. I could imagine this having been solved already but in case you're still stuck here, please try and contact Arrowhead support because they need to solve it: arrowhead.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
@@SirStefanGaming it has not been solved. I have not received my items since the game launched. There are others who have the same issue. I have already sent a support ticket in but have not heard back in 6 days.
I bought it because i enjoy the game and its nice to support a game you enjoy
Thank you for this breakdown. There was a lot of misleading articles about whether it was pay to win or not.
Glad it helped!
loved the video! hope to see more of your channel on the helldivers 2 scene :)
As being a fighting game player aswell I love hearing stranagems codes instead of notations lmao
Great video man, keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
I just bought the base game after watching been wanting it since release ill contribute later just wasnt sure about the deluxe or not thx for the info
I keep seeing people with the blue armor but have no idea how to get it
If it's blue and white with a "mohawk"-helmet: then it's a preorder bonus armor set.
You can also find the super credits in game. So technically the premium warbond is free
It is to just support the devs for this amazing game.
I tried to discuss the p2w with random teammates in missions whenever it came up and some people actually got mad at me for saying it's not a paywall.
Perfect breakdown, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Good review man cheers!
So buying this lol!
Thanks for the feedback & have fun playing!
Note that you do not need to buy 1000 super credits to get the steel things.
You can also grind your way up you can find small bits of super credits in the pods.
So yes, you can gain access to everything by the time you finish the first warbounds section that goes to page 10. 🎉
Actually, probably even sooner already got 700 super credits after playing 30 hours, lol
Yeah it seems this is one sequence of events Arrowhead might have overlooked, as there are quite a number of people who have this exact issue.
I hope arrowhead moves into the direction of allow players to unlocking more gear and rewards through challenges or just in game activities since the game was priced. They have a good chance of creating a years worth game if they continue, this was a good video to watch. Maybe all the these “free” to play games could learn from this.
Technically, the major and personal orders are a way to earn more rewards (medals and requisition credits) through timed challenges.
Only reason I got super citizen was because on ps5 i was already thinking it was going to be $70 for base game, saw that wasnt the case and got the $60 edition 🤣
Im a standard cadet. Will save my cash to cherry pick what i want as i go.
The cape has sand directly from Super Earth inside it! Do I need to say more?!?!
And I want them to support the game for as long as they can
Fantastic video dude, became interested in the game tonight and found your video. Definitely gonna super drip! Love from Texas 🤙
That's awesome, glad you liked it and hope you have a blast with the game!
After playing for about 15 hours I have almost enough Super credits to buy the steeled veteran access... without paying a dime extra...
Then you are performing your duty valiantly Helldiver! :)
One thing i would like to know is if you have got the steel veterans already, but then want to get the super citizen upgrade, do you get reimbursed for the super credits spent for the steel veterans warbond?
You can create a support ticket with Arrowhead and they should reimburse you in-game
Really well designed premium, maybe 1 extra armour set and I would get it over the regular version.
