the main suit (not the suit you start with) in batman Arkham knight is a good example of how to make a suit look armoured without it looking to bulky. You can tell from looking at the suit that it's supposed to be an armour and at the same time it doesn't look like batman had McDonalds last night
That's why I love that suit so much. It makes Batman look big and scary but not like he put fucking pillows inside his armour

The problem with the costumes in this game in my opinion is that
They tried way too hard to belike Insomniac's Spider-Man universe with the hyper realistic suits but they went *OVER 9,000* with it like Insomniac atleast knew to keep the suits looking more muscular and heroic looking with very vibrant comic book colors to contrast with the realism and keep it perfectly balanced like Yin and Yang where as The Avengers suits have nothing to contrast the hyper realism of the suits and it just looks like a guy who works a 9-5 threw on a cheap cosplay online and said "This will be okay for a comic con"
The Iron Man Suits in IRON MAN VR look like superhero costumes, The Iron man suits on MARVEL'S AVENGERS look like a Villain's background random Foot Soldiers
they really seem to fail to understand that he isnt just a muscular guy, hes literally meant to be peak human performance. he is as good as you can get without being superhuman.
He is superhuman tho like Batman is more of a peak human then CA because CA took drugs to get the way he is so he’s not technically full human at that point
Yeah he is superhuman took drugs for it. He can lift, run, and think faster than about every human alive even taking into account genetics, experience, and non super hero making drugs (PEDs).

If anyone wants to see Marvel superheroes in a "realistic" art style, look at Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Those games nailed the perfect balance between realism and stylization.
Na most of those were ugly, and what made it worse is all the characters only had 2 costumes but in the original UA they had 4 each.
Those game were ugly asf anyone who play it can tell you the best thing about those games was the gameplay not the graphics

You can tell when they used the “heroic proportions” model because his right deltoid overshadows his bicep and is in line with the forearm musculature. You can see they used that model for the infinity war suit.
I don't get why they didn't recolor the Stark Tech suit and say that was the Secret Empire suit, it was way easier
It's not based on the armoured suit, it's suppose to be his regular suit with a hydra logo where the star was.
But since this game has an armoured suit, you're right in that they should've just recoloured that instead.
The Designers missed the mark by not repainting the minimalist suit into classic cap colors and giving him a helmet. That probably would be one of the best looking original costumes of the game.
The skin are something I've always loved about super hero games. I still remember finding orange and brown in wolverines revenge behind the truck

It's a shame the original costumes came out like this in the final game. In the official art book of the game, you can see the concept designs of them and they look 🔥
Also to take note: a lot of people are use to skins being always worth something, but they make the default a boring design because they don’t want you to like the default skin. They want you to invest in the prettier looking skins

Please make more videos like these, I love listening about game costumes/skins.
I think the reason the Front Line suit has glitches in the face because they didn't skin weight it. When you're making the rig (skeleton) for a model and combining it with the model, they won't automatically synchronize so you have to actually paint on what parts of the model should move when the skeleton moves. So when using the Front Line suit, instead of skin weighting the new model so it matches with the rig, it looks like they just kept the skin weight info from the base model and causing the face to not match right.
A big problem I have with Cap's outfit collection is the fact that they only ever use the round shield, even for outfits like the pre order bonus that should have the old heater shield design. Why does it bug me so much? Because when you're playing as Kamala trying to find Jarvis, you see the original shield in a glass case. The model is ALREADY in the game, why not use it? Especially for that pre order outfit, it would've made Steve's face constantly melting a bit more bearable if they put that bit of effort in.
The mcu suits are always the light at the end of the tunnel in these videos
He looks like a football player who's uniform is Captain America looking. Age of Ultron movie was always the best costume.
I also find it ironic that he looks just like a blue colored Soldier Boy from The Boys. Funny since Soldier Boy was an edgy parody of Steve.

I would like to see you discuss every character's skins. Both of the videos you have made have been very interesting to watch, and this one was a great reminder of how Iron Man is the only character in this game that has good skins. This game doing such a bad job with its' art style and skins (most of which you have to pay for until they make them all free when the game dies) really just makes me appreciate Spider-Man PS4 even more for its' beautiful art style and the way it handled skins. Insomniac's designers are truly top tier.

Full details:
- The game's final planned update that will enhance traversal will be on March 31.
- On March 31, ALL cosmetics will be given to the players for free.
- Sadly, no refunds will be given to players who purchased cosmetics.
- On September 30, the game will be removed from all storefronts, and they will no longer be providing customer service, or doing server maintenance. Which means if the servers have any problems after Sep 30, there's no guarantee that they're gonna fix it.
- If you manage to find a Pre-Owned copy of the game after September 30, and it's your first time playing the game, you will still be able to play the game normally.
- Spider-Man will remain exclusive to PlayStation even after the game dies.

If you bought a skin all the way back in 2020, then there's really no reason to be given a refund since that was a long time ago, and that money would've went towards adding content to the game. I feel like at least if you bought a skin sometime within the last 3 or 4 months you should get a refund, but they're not even doing that, which sucks.

Idk man, the Sunny Days outfit for Black Widow, she's pretty muscular, at least compared to Johansson
The first suit looks good if it was a cosplayer who used to be a cop. That's the vibe I get from it like a boys in blue honoring the police fan art or like a variant cover costume you'd see for like a day to honor cops. Feel it so needs some more color and could scale back on the unnecessary bits like the forearm guard things or the knee pads.

4:53 That's one of the reasons I like the Deathstroke & Wintergreen suits, Even if they have a zipper, at least is covered by armor padding, a strap & Belts, unlike the others
Heavy armor on Captain America just doesn't work for me as it just unnecessary due to Cap's reflexes and agility is so great that the only defense he really needs is his shield, plus being physically more durable than average humans as well.
The idea shown at 17:49 has a very interesting version used in the MCU suit: the straps Cap has in the shoulders/chest (that looks like when comics cap use the shield straps like a backpack) has the magnet to hold the shield and the way the magnet is shaped to connect the straps looks like a star

Also, I always found it weird that they changed rhe name of "the new vintage" costume from "Ultimate patriot" (or something like that). It always made me wonder if they were planning to actually use that skin as a base for an Ultimate comics skin.

For me personally, in terms of build? It's always on a hero by hero basis. Let me put it this way: Mr. Fantastic can be a twig. A human Green Lantern should probably be either a twig or fat at some point. Jack Black as Green Lantern? Not a bad idea, depending on what you want out of him. King Kong mode Jack Black, for example, as Green Lantern could have been FANTASTIC. The idea that got leaked? Where we were would have been dealing with Orange County/Year One/Gulliver's Travels mode Jack Black? AWFUL. Rightfully canned.

I will never understand the obsession to make costumes unnecessarily different from the comics version. The fNew Vintage suit is close, but those pants bug me so much, and it's partly a asset reuse. I hate how this game cuts corners with its cosmetics.
From what I heard from CD is that the entire Marketplace will now be free. I've gotten the preorder suits before the game came out because I enjoyed the look of them, just never used them plus for the longest time, all my base line characters used the Stark Tech suits because they looked pretty good minus the Hulk's one as it kind looked funny with how it moved on him but the design of it was good just not the way it moves.
I personally think the Endgame suit is an 8/10 not only because of no white arms but also his gloves look like he took some off a 3 year old.
Although I don’t like this game, I will say I wish you could’ve swapped around visual elements from the suits.
Imagine if you could’ve given a color scheme from one suit and put it onto the design of another. Like you could have Iron Man mark one with the red and yellow, or the MCU suit for Captain America in US agent colors. Or maybe if you want to give any of the Captain America suits the self shaded look.

I REALLY dislike the arms of his costumes. They lack any sort of definition, ESPECIALLY at the elbow joint area. Makes it look like he's wearing a puffy jacket or something and it really doesn't compliment his form.
... wow. People spent MONEY on these? Well, they're all gonna be free after March, so get 'em then.
Also, the Batman Arkham games and the PS4 Spider-Man each did a terrific job of bringing in suits from the comics and not compromising on their designs for the sake of "realism" (OK. the Batman Beyond suit in Arkham Knight is an exception).

I use Ultimate Patriot the most, as it's his best comic skin that matches with everybody else's modern looks.
I'm not mad at CD for trying to put their own spin and be inspired by comic costumes, they just pale by comparison when all the MCU skins blow them clean out the water.
Tbf they have been getting closer and closer to comic accuracy as the game went on, just a shame we're no longer gonna get anymore, there's a few more Cap skins I would've loved to have seen; Ultimates, Cel Shaded without the Cel Shade, Age of Ultron, Civil War etc....

I think the Endgame costume is frustratingly close to perfection as far as modernization of the classic scales suit goes. I agree with your one problem that keeps it from being 10. He needs the white sleeves for color breakup! imo the red lines on the arms, while they help and are better than nothing, are still only a flimsy band-aid for what it's lacking. Also also, wish the gloves and boots were a bit more red. Frankly would love it if they were entirely red but I guess they could be brown base so long as there's plenty of red highlights in the detail.

I could tell this game was gonna fail when they released a first glimpse as to what the avengers would look like facially. Totally phoned in and cheap.
Cap having stubble also goes against his character.. him being an army man he would be used to shaving with a straight razor, so he SHOULD be absolutely clean shaven as part of his uniform attire.
Him having stubble shows him being a modern man who uses an electric razor, and that doesn’t fit his character or his look.

The obvious main issue is the character model. The proportions are completely off, the arms are like almost twice the size of the body. Its like someone stuck a titan human arms on a normal sized guy. There's also no muscular definition and natural bulk. Everything feels like a computer made shape that's just stiff and gives you the impression that if you took off his armor, there would just be a gaping chest hole that goes right through because they didn't render a chest behind the armor plating.
Great example at 7:14 of failing to get the look right. They beefed him up mh sure, but the proportions are roughly the same in almost every way, there's no wider lats that move the arms out, wider back, thicker ab. They don't understand BMI and how you get bigger not just by muscle, but by bulk. He still looks skinny, but just with artificial sections that are muscled up.
13:08 that's the fixed buffer pysiche furthering my point. And the neck muscles are the only thing there, the shoulders are idiotically small and low.

Reused assets here are absolutely atrocious. There are armies of passionate fans out there that make 3D models of all sorts of cool stuff as accurate and improved as they can just for fun. These guys clearly dumped out most of these for a quick check. So sad.

Supporting the argument that Cap shouldn't have a stubble, a man from his era is definitely one of those old geezers who only shaves with a straight razor or safety razor giving a very clean shave unlike modern trimmers that can leave a short stubble
