This interview deserves more views. Lovely guy and one of the greatest British vocalists. Ridiculously underrated.
Paul Carrack is not only a great soulful vocalist, performer, and musician but he also seems like a very cool guy. The Living Years is such a powerful song and the way that Paul sings it makes it a beautiful song... it gets me every time. God bless Paul and his amazing talent... keep on rocking!
Not only the living years but also silent running and don't shed a tear this guy is a great singer
He certainly will always be my favourite 💙🙏
One of the greatest voices of all time. Have been a fan since the ACE days.
I’m binge listening to Paul..best singer I ever heard…silent running is my favourite so relevant in the world today like a message from above..🙏 in 2024…love you 🫶🏻❤️ hope to see you in Glasgow this year..🏴
Paul, after listening to The Living Years, I was stunned by your vocal performance. The song is so profound. Only a voice like yours could have ever done it justice.
Always loved Paul Carrack since his Ace days, wonderfu,l soulful, & very distinctive voice. God bless & may he carry on for many years.
I would really like to let Paul Carrack know that
he is absolutely one of my favorite singers. I really love his voice.
Great interview and what a humble gentleman Paul Carrack is, I’m a huge fan and certainly even more after listening to this.
Right on Paul Carrack. I've done the same with my career. love your music. .............“I took the other road, all right, but only because it was the way I wanted to go. If I've encountered some unnecessary resistance that's because most of the traffic is going the other way.”
― Edward Abbey
Brilliant interview. Never knew Paul has a (subtle) Northern English accent (like me, only mine is thicker) 🤣.It seems funny to me in this 'woke' era of discrimination against this and that, it appears discrimination is alive and well against certain age demographic and look, particularly against Paul Carrack types (yet there is no outcry....hmmmmm). Paul Carrack makes brilliant music, I personally don't give a shit how old or how...... he is. I don't listen to live radio, I don't listen to the news, I choose what I want to consume via youTube or Spotify etc. It just has to sound great to my ears, be interesting and be easy to listen to. PS. Living Years is legendary - one of the best songs ever. What is particularly amazing is that he's self-taught (which I wouldn't have believed) and managed to get to the level he achieved (respect due). I did all the lessons as a kid and got absolutely no-where 🤣 So well-done. Some of the best musicians and creators are self-taught (having worked with a few) and they weren't constrained by what they'd been taught.....they were free🤣
Fantastic Interview Guys . One of the most talented singer/songwriters of our time . 🎶🎶🎶 . ❤
Love Paul Carrack!
Amazing talent. Incredible voice. Great interview. Thanks for the music Paul.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great interview, Paul’s such a cool guy and great vocalist and my favorite artist can’t wait to see you in Manchester October 2023 ❤❤

Very cool tidbit about shania and mutt! I’ve totally forgotten about Paul till he appeared on your channel today. I’ll be purchasing some CD’s! Cheers - R
Cheers my friend!!
Increible entrevista!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please do a Part 2 with Paul and ask him what he thinks of Phil Collins as a musician and what songs he likes of Phil Collins and Genesis and ask him if he's met Phil Collins?? Many thanks
Awesome unique voice.
Really enjoyed this!!
Don't shed a tear...
Great song
You should interview mutt !
Love this conversation
The living years is a great and deep song i love that song
I Love You❣❣❣
Best voice ever! ❤❤❤
I have to admit that I hardly understand him, it is not the meaning but the actual meaning that interests me, playing music together as an order - many years have passed, ... he also said at the time, in some of the sentences, Mike Rutherford was present nearby. "Paul" is a splendid character, I would say, a receptor for some high thoughts of human beings somehow. Think of Paul Young and Nick Kershaw for example, they were all friends. I like him with his songs "...Nobody knows", anyhow "Dont" ... greetings
Sounds like you've been singing "Hey Honey I'm Packing You In" a couple a hundred times Jeremy 🤔
Damn rona haha
👌
so Paul tells a great story about Mike and the Mechanics. Story ends, and the interview says Wow. then immediately moves onto something else. The two interviewers are disrespectful, and I couldn't finish watching this. Looks like they are looking at a list of questions, they wait for his lips to stop moving, and sometimes they interrupt him before his lips stop, and he even says " let me finish the thought " . I don't know who these two guys are, and I guess this is their show on you tube, and I won't be on here again. Good luck, you have 158 thumbs up. Not much for the almost 6,000 views. So you do the math.
So glad his face doesn't fit with the BBC any longer. The less he has to do with that bunch the better.
Great interview.it was in july of 2000 that Paul young died from a heart attack.not in 1999 from what paul Carrack said in the interview.
He was talking about Mike Rutherford that past away, Paul Young is alive.
