Simply one of the best voices ever in rock music. He has a depth and a beauty so rarely heard these days, and he made every band he was apart of, a better band. His solo stuff is top notch, too.

Paul could sing a toilet brochure and make a hit. One of the most recognized singing voices of the past 5 decades.

Don Henley once suggested that the best songs are from universal themes. You know, simple stuff. Simple things lead you to a goldmine of emotions. Experiences help you mine them.
Paul Carrack has been one of the few vocal stylists that have never disappointed. From Ace to Squeeze, the Mechanics and beyond.
    Thank you, Paul!
    (And you too, John.)

My favorite pop singer/ artist along with David Clayton Thomas. The difference in the two - Paul seems to he a really nice guy(wish I could meet him) and Dave can be a jerk(met him twice). But both great artists

I remember the night Paul Carrack sang a killer version of my favorite Marvin Gaye recording, "Ain't That Peculiar," with Mike and the Mechanics on "Late Night With David Letterman." Thanks for thinking of him, John.

I've attended a couple of Mr Carracks concerts and was mightily impressed with the talent of the man. Multi instrumental talents. He could get a tune out of a floor mop. Seems a genuinely nice person. Go and see him, he's constantly touring and you won't spend a better two hours. WARNING.His band is very loud, don't sit too close.

The Living years is my favourite song of all time, I only realised recently that Paul Carrack was THE man responsible. Then I heard Over my Shoulder and that he came from over the Snake road, Sheffield. I wish him really well, he deserves it.

John, I’ve watched hundreds of your interviews, but this one is special. You have a knack of getting the artists to tell their stories. Paul Carrack is a special guy, a talented musician, a humble guy, a self taught genius. One of the best singers I’ve ever heard, and his stories are legend, thanks to your abilities to get him to tell them. Thank you.

What a Surprise! Just last night I was asked who my Major Influences were and I sent them "Paul at Somethingplast"...a Concert in Germany I believe. Paul and I share a B'day; April 22 / Earthday , we both left home at 15 to make music, different gigs with Mike and Genesis...... This was a Fabulous interview and I Love him. A True Gentleman in every way. Many Thanks. Rich...... #loveyapaul

One of the most underrated vocalists (and a brilliant songwriter) of the past 50 yrs. And yet a humble man. Love his solo stuff, his voice is a beautiful, unique instrument in its own right.
