Hi this engine was a one off the running gear is a Roundhouse Lady Anne and a custom body and tender built for it by me. If your looking for a locomotive that's coal fired to buy Elstow engineering sells boiler conversions for roundhouse locomotives and even sells them ready to run. If your looking for the same style of body it was based off the roundhouse Dylan. Any more questions feel free to ask. www.elstow-engineering.co.uk/rtr_locos.html
Really just keep the coal filled up in the firebox and give it a rake to move the coal around and get rid of the ash and see if there is voids in the fire where more coal could go. I normally get about 2 1/2 hours out of this engine before the fire tubes become blocked up. The hard part is keeping up with the water and coal it uses it up very fast your having to stop every 4 minutes and top up on them.
@@MiniModellingOfficial Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed the video, I made the loco with off the shelf parts the coal fired boiler was custom built as well as the bodywork and tender. The chassis is a Roundhouse Lady Anne being a 0-6-0 but the bodywork is styled to a Roundhouse Dylan which has a saddle tank. There are companies that make coal fired boiler conversion kits for the Lady Anne as they come as gas fired as standard which is really easy to use. Hope this helps. www.roundhouse-eng.com/
Hi sadly you can't buy this exact model as the boiler and bodywork including the tender was built from scratch. The chassis of the locomotive was made by roundhouse engineering if your interested in getting one that looks similar to this the roundhouse Dylan is probably the most similar one you can buy. For the coal fired boiler some companies do a kit to convert it from gas fired to coal.
I love how he just flips down the fire door with the shovel without dropping a piece of coal
This is a great way to use your christmas coal
Brilliant! Live steam is the greatest.
