    I gave the Carpio a good go too, I love your idea for the different feet options. Great review mel0n, super impressed with the depth you've gone in to here

    The dealbreaker for me is, that the Carpio is just waaay too lound on a glass pad.

      Damn that sucks

      Yeah stock skates are loud af but if you change for aftermarket dots it become really quiet and feel way better (depend of the glass pad / skates combo ofc).

    Always so thorough and clear in analyzing products. Incredible reviewer!

    Extremely good and thorough review.
    Do you still use the Carpio to this day?
    If so, do you feel you've gotten used to it to the point where you have as much control while aiming as you did without it.
    And if you're not using it anymore, why?

      Hey! I don't really use the regular Carpio too much, but I use the Carpio G2.0 all the time! I've been testing a lot of smaller fingertip optimized mice lately, and it makes using fingertip grip really easy & natural, so I've been using it quite a bit!
      Now that I've used the g 2.0 for a couple months with fingertip grip, I definitely have really good control with it, but it's difficult to correlate it against my other grip styles because I don't play fingertip without the Carpio. So it's hard to say how my control is between like a claw grip and a fingertip grip. But I will say over my testing I haven't found any negative impacts of the G2.0 It's just made fingertip grip easier and more natural for my hands.
      Hope that answers your questions!

    It has been a while since i didn't heard about the carpio G2.0, nice review.
    I almost sold mine after changing my mouse stock skates and trying the carpio on cordura and glass surface i stopped using it for months, skates are just terrible but after someone told me : "the plastic base is flat after removing the skates", i put obsidian pro on it and it's perfect on a "control" glass pad if you do not want to wear a sleave that cover your palm but also don't want to have any part of your skin touching the pad (combined with a normal sleeve, it's perfect).
    The only negative point i have with aftermarket skates on it, it's the fact that even if the base of the carpio is flat, the edge are quite thin in term of area to place the skates (maybe it's fine if you use really small dots skates), some of my obsidian pro dots have like 2/3 of the surface sticking to the carpio base (in the worst case scenario).
    In the end dots skates are the best option rn because like you said it's also not possible buy replacement stock skates from deltahub (imagine having to buy an expensive carpio everytime you need new skates for it...)

      Oh so you can remove the skates! I wasn’t sure if they were removable or not & i didn’t want to break my units. Good to know I’ll have to experiment with that and some dots/aftermarket skates! Thanks for the info!

    • @lltalionll
      @lltalionll 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mel0nFPS Yeah you can remove them but idk if you can reuse them if you want, so keep that in mind (I took mine off like a madman as I knew I wasn't going to put them back on but maybe if you take them off carefully there'll be enough glue left, idk).
      Also dots skates are thinner than stock skates so it might affect your grip a bit but the difference is so minimal compared to holding a mouse with or without carpio that i don't think it will be a noticeable change.
      Have fun trying after market skates ;) i hope you will do an update vid on the carpio G2.0 after that (Interested to see how fit smaller dots like Tiger Ice and Corepad because if i remember correctly they might be the only one DIY dots with different size in one pack).

    I like your anchor design idea. What size of the G2.0 were you using, with your hand size? I have 18x9.5cm hand, if you could help to recommend the proper fit that'd be appreciated.

    It's definitely an interesting type of wrist rest, but I find it way too expensive to even try out.
    Aside from price, I still find two glaring issues with this product.
    Firstly, for my type of mouse, which is the Asus ROG Spatha X, its ergonomic design means that the g2.0 won't work properly with it.
    Secondly, I tend to use high DPI, because I dislike having to move my entire arm all the time, so the g2.0 would barely move around that much.
    I've been using a traditional type of wrist rest for a few years now, but I think I might switch to using nothing and see how it goes.

    • @mel0nFPS
      @mel0nFPS  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The CARPIOs are definitely priced as an medical device rather than a fancy wrist rest which is unfortunate, I feel if they were like 20% cheaper they'd be better.

    Great review. Just got my G2.0 a couple days ago so I’m still figuring out the details in optimizing its use. Feeling good on glass pad so far, but yes noisier than normal skates. Feeling optimistic about this product though

    I tried both a few days ago, they are not bad feeling however after a few hours of gameplay I found that skate design had left marks in my palm. Wish they had versions without the design, as it does seem to be a falw, that would be easy to fix.
