Why Is Every Pro Switching to This Keyboard?

  • Every gaming peripheral company will tell you that their product is the best. They’ll all say that it gives you some type of advantage that you can’t get from their competitors.
    They’ll claim that their creations are faster, lighter, have better battery life - and the list goes on.
    So, would you believe me if I told you that there is a keyboard out there that can legitimately make you better at games like Counter-Strike and Valorant?
    That’s exactly what Wooting are claiming. They’ve created some of the industry’s fastest, most-innovative boards - and many pros have already made the switch.
    But is it true? Can their keyboard actually give you an edge over your opponents?

The fact that you can modify this and make it your own is a huge selling point too. it doesnt have to look like a 'gaming keyboard' - one night of work and i put the pcb into a tofu60, lubed everything, and swapped the caps for pbt shinbun. you can have the best of both worlds with a 'custom' board added with the tech of wooting

    One small gripe I have is everyone calling it a pressure sensor, when its a hall effect sensor. i wonder if we might get to a point where analog keyboards become a norm and people start using/building hotswap keyboards for certain switches. i imagine if analog becomes a standard then soon there will be an option for all games to have a certain level of keyboard pressure that switches a character from walking to running for example (kinda like a controller deadzone i guess?). in this case, i can already imagine serious gamers or enthusiasts using different switches for say w-a-s-d or even spacebar to achieve the best feel and control for smooth, linear movement while also having the fastest, lightest switches for other keys for their mechanical advantages.

      as i understand it, in TM is more about setting custom analog input limits beyond the 20/40/60/80%, wooting lets you set any arbitrary % in the firmware without the need of software running in the background, which is considered cheating

    • @Speedself
      @Speedself ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AceChippmunkIt is completely legal to use an analog keyboard in TM to benefit from better reaction time / lower latency (or however you want to call it) as well as being able to "manually" steer between 0% and 100%, as long as you don't set keys so that they reproduce an exact analog value when you press them.

    • @bwnzix
      @bwnzix ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What you said is wrong. Nadeo banned locking a key to a specific value. Wooting is still legal without those. Like using the wooting as a controller

    What's stopping them from selling just the PCB and switches that work with custom 60% or TKL keebs? Doesn't seem too difficult on an electronics level to make this available to custom keeb builders.

    Im confused, how can you control movement speed in valorant even with the analog switches? Like, how is that possible in a game like valorant or csgo? I can understand the witcher, because its also a controller useable game, which means it would have joystick-like movement in game with this keyboard. But Valorant and CSGO are capable of having dynamic walking speeds? Weird

    • @humanity_3
      @humanity_3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      In valo and CS you need to “strafe”. Regular keyboards have switches that require a certain amount of movement before they can register the next click. Wooting doesn’t need this. Once you depress the key, you can press it once again. It makes your strafe easier, more natural and quicker

    • @amshermansen
      @amshermansen ปีที่แล้ว

      This is still true - But these games aren't using this functionality of "faking" a controller for analog movement. They're taking advantage of the switch reading inputs on a curve instead of a static 0 or 1, which allows for features like rapid trigger and adjustable actuation. :)

    • @gordonneverdies
      @gordonneverdies ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you can control walk speed in CS with a controller. I played with a mouse and controller in my left hand due to a wrist injury. You have to go into steam big picture mode and set the left joystick to "joystick move" instead of wasd.

    People should stop buying mice and kbs collections just cause of praising marketing companies 😊. There are no disagreement about wooting, but it will not make you pro by just using it. Just think about days of ball mice and gummy buttons keyboards where pro players could do magic in CS 1.5, etc. Just think about that and try not to spend your hard owned money just because gaming companies said that it’s cool and best. The start of the video perfectly describes this ❤
    Personally I use two KB:
    Work - Ionix ZX75
    Game - Ducky One 2 Mecha mini Liama edition 😊
