Always wondered why brothers were not allowed/ discouraged from having a beard when they picture their congregational leader, Jesus, always wearing one?
As strange as it may sounds, in the 1920's Jesus pictures were shown without any beard, in the publications. I'm going to explain it, a little bit further, But, they did change this no beard policy in the last few years. This is a cultural thing, they say. They use to find it unacceptable to have a beard, because they considered it to be ''wordly '' and neglected, they were afraid of people saying bad things of JW's if they preached the Kingdom of God, with beards( !!! ) A beard would have been seen as a cause of ''stumbling'', for potential recruits in the cult ( I wonder why and how ! ) and an ''opprobrium'' on Jehovah's name ( again, I wonder how a beard could do so ! ) But now that the fashion has evolved in western countries, under the probable influence of migrants proudly bearing the beard, ( mostly from eastern immigration ) and there are lots of men bearing the beard now. Now, if you're a JW, you are allowed to grow a beard, as long as it's raisonnable in lenght and well trimmed. You see, the Watchtower seems to depend upon fashion ! The no-beard policy has J. Rutherford, as the starter of this non-sense policy , because he hated beards so much , that, as the new president of Watchtower and successor of CT Russell who had this huge beard on his chin, he forced his associates in the 1920s, to shave their beards, or less, they would have not obtained the printing press they were asking for, and they would probably have lost their status in the WT society. Rutherford even commanded to depict Jesus without a beard, in the publications, so you could see Jesus nailed on the stake, the face as clean as the one of a teenager. This is absurd, while we know that Jesus, as a jew, had an obligation to have a beard. Strange story, indeed, is this one, about beards in the JWs !
I absolutely love the story of Peter denying Jesus! We are told that we have freedom of choice, but where was Peter's freedom of choice when Jesus foretold that Peter would deny him 3 times!? If Peter had denied Jesus only 2 times, that would mean Jesus was a false prophet, but Peter did deny Jesus 3 times, meaning that it was predetermined/predestined for Peter to deny Jesus, & yet we have freedom of choice!? The bible is filled with all kinds of these inconsistencies & contradictions.

I love listening to your videos while I clean, I was raised the daughter of an elder and listening to you is like listing to and elder give a talk but if the talk was actually healing. It is obvious that the JW governing body does not know Jesus. Good point on Jesus and his followers being apostates to the Jewish religion. Hello! Yes. I had one in a congregation that I attended. However, literally EVERYONE questioned this poor woman's sanity. They'd talk behind her back & question whether she was "really" annointed. Something that NEVER happens with MEN who say they're annointed! Secondly, it is taught & understood by JWs that ALL annointed become OLD MAN-LOOKING ANGELS with beards in heaven & this is how they are pictured in all their literature. SO - even if u are a woman who thinks they're annointed, that woman will become a MALE ANGEL in heaven! It's absolutely INSANE & if they UNDERSTOOD what angels REALLY LOOK LIKE according to the Bible & literature, then there'd be no way to describe them as simply man-angels! 🙄🙄🙄 They're SO INSANE.
Yes, women are anointed, but despite being chosen to be kings/priests by Jesus himself, they're not allowed to teach, pray or be an elder among JWs. There is this: They will one day judge you and I....but can't do so today..... because of their body parts. Today, an elder can judge them, tomorrow, they can judge the elder from heaven. LOL!!!! I’m just coming to this channel! Born and raised JW, although, I was baptized Catholic as an infant, unfortunately though my parents divorced a year later, and only 6 months later my mom married a JW and converted, end of story lol and I was baptized at 14. But, I have to be honest I’ve noticed in all the ex JW online communities most ex JW’s are agnostic? Or even atheist? These channels can certainly be therapeutic to vent but I don’t hear many former JWs actually talk about how they are healing their spirituality or restoring their faith in God?? It’s a little worrisome to me especially since we gave so much of our life for “Jehovah”. Idk the more I’ve been away from this organization and lived my life been to other churches, restored a real relationship with Lord Jesus I realize this organization is an absolutely fake faith.
Its a great point Rosie. I'd like to move more toward topics of healing myself. I think many JWs seek validation. They've been exposed to decades of 'crazy making' and when they finally leave, they still feel lost. I find that most are agnostic (me!).... but are more open minded once they leave.
Agreed on almost everything - but your take on "house to house" at Luke 10:7 is kind of an out-of-context cheap shot. Clearly the context there is lodging, not the actual preaching.

I think I’m finding your constant mixing of Bible and JW misinformation difficult to listen to. ExJW make mistakes assuming that the Bible says what JW teach. It does not. So every time you mention the Bible you use JW teachings. I get it - you are debunking JW stuff. It’s just that you are never presenting standard Christian teaching which is vastly different to JW teaching.
This is a VERY valid conversation and I agree with you on this! I find it very difficult to not blur the lines between the two. JW's pretend to follow the Bible and so by comparison, it's an inevitable paradox. I'm not here to discuss Christianity as a whole, but it's a challenge since JW's claim to be Christians. I do not believe they are. If someone was looking for more of a Christian conversation, this probably isn't the place. It's very challenging to decouple the two, based on their claims. If the Bible is the authority, JW's fail in epic fashion, especially when it comes to Jesus
Jesus appointed a Governing Body in the First Century. It ceased to function after Satan took over the 'church' (Acts 20:30). Jesus returns and appoints his Governing Body to look after the restoration of the Christian Congregation and its work in these last days. Matthew 24:14, 45-47. Sadly most of mankind will ignore all this and be at the receiving end of adverse judgement. Comparing our time to that of Noah's, Jesus prophesied: (Matthew 24:39) and they took no note until the Flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be.

In addition, you made statements regarding the 'last days' using scriptures about Jerusalem... predictions about the 'last days' have been going on for centuries.... an nowhere does Jesus mention a Governing Body, nor do his apostles. Anywhere. Ever. Then, to conclude your post, you mentioned Noah and the Flood....a figure borrowed from much older Sumerian flood myths. Painfully easy to trace. So while I appreciate the respectful post, it unfortunately also serves as an example of how Christian's/JWs reason: make a statement with ZERO proof, misapply or take Biblical verses out of context.....then..... disappear. I absolutely love the story of Peter denying Jesus! We are told that we have freedom of choice, but where was Peter's freedom of choice when Jesus foretold that Peter would deny him 3 times!? If Peter had denied Jesus only 2 times, that would mean Jesus was a false prophet, but Peter did deny Jesus 3 times, meaning that it was predetermined/predestined for Peter to deny Jesus, & yet we have freedom of choice!? The bible is filled with all kinds of these inconsistencies & contradictions.
I often resist the urge to unpack such stories in detail. LOVED what you said here....all so true!!

Hi Stacy, again another great post. You were talking about Jesus youth how it doesn't mention in the Bible any of it. But I have a question if he was a perfect human he must've been a beautiful teenager. How did he do with the girls. I remember the best part of going to the assemblies I was meeting girls I was the ambassador ha ha ha love you show Stacy keep it up Keith, and like you say I always have questions. Thank you.

It is obvious that the JW governing body does not know Jesus. Good point on Jesus and his followers being apostates to the Jewish religion. It doesn’t take long realizing this after studying his life and listening to his words. As I recall, the prophets God used to warn Israel of their apostasy were outside the camp of Israel. And didn’t apostle Paul tell his disciples to follow Jesus outside the camp? ( Hebrews 13:13 ) And , oh ya, Jesus is now asking for tithes? Absurd!

Hello! Yes. I had one in a congregation that I attended. However, literally EVERYONE questioned this poor woman's sanity. They'd talk behind her back & question whether she was "really" annointed. Something that NEVER happens with MEN who say they're annointed!
Secondly, it is taught & understood by JWs that ALL annointed become OLD MAN-LOOKING ANGELS with beards in heaven & this is how they are pictured in all their literature. SO - even if u are a woman who thinks they're annointed, that woman will become a MALE ANGEL in heaven! It's absolutely INSANE & if they UNDERSTOOD what angels REALLY LOOK LIKE according to the Bible & literature, then there'd be no way to describe them as simply man-angels! 🙄🙄🙄 They're SO INSANE.

Yes, women are anointed, but despite being chosen to be kings/priests by Jesus himself, they're not allowed to teach, pray or be an elder among JWs. There is this: They will one day judge you and I....but can't do so today..... because of their body parts. Today, an elder can judge them, tomorrow, they can judge the elder from heaven. LOL!!!! I’m just coming to this channel! Born and raised JW, although, I was baptized Catholic as an infant, unfortunately though my parents divorced a year later, and only 6 months later my mom married a JW and converted, end of story lol and I was baptized at 14. But, I have to be honest I’ve noticed in all the ex JW online communities most ex JW’s are agnostic? Or even atheist? These channels can certainly be therapeutic to vent but I don’t hear many former JWs actually talk about how they are healing their spirituality or restoring their faith in God?? It’s a little worrisome to me especially since we gave so much of our life for “Jehovah”. Idk the more I’ve been away from this organization and lived my life been to other churches, restored a real relationship with Lord Jesus I realize this organization is an absolutely fake faith.
Its a great point Rosie. I'd like to move more toward topics of healing myself. I think many JWs seek validation. They've been exposed to decades of 'crazy making' and when they finally leave, they still feel lost. I find that most are agnostic (me!).... but are more open minded once they leave.
Agreed on almost everything - but your take on "house to house" at Luke 10:7 is kind of an out-of-context cheap shot. Clearly the context there is lodging, not the actual preaching.

While it seems to elude to that, it also seems to speak to the whole 'house to house' thing....there aren't clear instructions to do that from Jesus and at best, they've leveraged it all to point to them.....it's not without validity...lot's to discuss on this one!

Your view of what Paul taught is actually contradicting Paul’s direct statement of his view on the matter. Actually for all intent and purposes, what you are saying is an apostate falsehood.

I think I’m finding your constant mixing of Bible and JW misinformation difficult to listen to.
ExJW make mistakes assuming that the Bible says what JW teach. It does not. So every time you mention the Bible you use JW teachings.
I get it - you are debunking JW stuff. It’s just that you are never presenting standard Christian teaching which is vastly different to JW teaching.
This is a VERY valid conversation and I agree with you on this! I find it very difficult to not blur the lines between the two. JW's pretend to follow the Bible and so by comparison, it's an inevitable paradox. I'm not here to discuss Christianity as a whole, but it's a challenge since JW's claim to be Christians. I do not believe they are. If someone was looking for more of a Christian conversation, this probably isn't the place. It's very challenging to decouple the two, based on their claims. If the Bible is the authority, JW's fail in epic fashion, especially when it comes to Jesus

Jesus returns and appoints his Governing Body to look after the restoration of the Christian Congregation and its work in these last days. Matthew 24:14, 45-47.
Sadly most of mankind will ignore all this and be at the receiving end of adverse judgement.
Comparing our time to that of Noah's, Jesus prophesied:

I can't help but notice, that like most JWs or Christians, you made a statement: "Jesus appointed a Governing Body in the First Century." ….and promptly provided zero proof of him doing that (because he didn't and it's not in the Bible)…skip the Gospels and cited Acts 20:30 as your first scripture...…Jesus was not present in the book of Acts. In addition, you made statements regarding the 'last days' using scriptures about Jerusalem... predictions about the 'last days' have been going on for centuries.... an nowhere does Jesus mention a Governing Body, nor do his apostles. Anywhere. Ever. Then, to conclude your post, you mentioned Noah and the Flood....a figure borrowed from much older Sumerian flood myths. Painfully easy to trace. So while I appreciate the respectful post, it unfortunately also serves as an example of how Christian's/JWs reason: make a statement with ZERO proof, misapply or take Biblical verses out of context.....then..... disappear. If you can provide proof of Jesus appointing a Governing Body in the Bible, we would all like to see it. Any additional proof that we are in the 'last days' and Noah and his story are factual, we would all be very interested in seeing that. But I'm going to guess we won't be seeing you again. Thanks!

For as the FATHER has Life in HIMSELF , so HE has granted the SON to have Life in HIMSELF.
