Excellent Eric. I’m beginning to understand more and more with these videos. My sincere sorrow is for the GB. They have lost all sense in their teaching and harming so many honest hearted Christians. They have not listened not to go beyond what is written, but decided to do their own writing. Wow, to think that they will get away with that is beyond me. I often think what does Christ and Jehovah think on all of this? I am so fortunate that I am no longer in an organization that have led millions astray. Thank you Eric for all your wonderful work. 😊❤

Who you're really should feel sorry for is the people who have been misled by them since they are taught to disobey the Bible and ruin their relationship that they could have with their father Jehovah in that sense they are like the Pharisees oh Jesus day when the Bible says that he felt sorry for the crowd when they were sheep as without Shepherd thrown about and abused and we know the outcome of that it is a very bad thing to be in that position where are you intentionally ruin a person's relationship with Jehovah it is not where you want to be
@@guyplacencio9454 while I agree with most of what you say; I cannot help but to point out that God knows "whom, belongs" to Him. If we believe in the sacrifice of Jesus' shed blood on our behalf and His resurrection from the dead; then no matter what, we will not loose our Salvation. We might "struggle with" faith, because of this dangerous religion and it's horrid influence; however, as in my own personal experience, God saved me, anyway. He waited patiently for me to ask Him into my heart (He stood knocking at the door of my heart and I accepted His gift and invited Him in). Scriptures speak to this! It is He who knows us, better than we think!! His Salvation is for ALL of us. He will not let us go, if we "belong to Him"!

I remember long chats with different brothers and sisters in service groups about the "1000" year reign and the new system. Only because I was indoctrinated from childhood with the "core" concept of the Witness idea of the "new system" and resurrections did I accept it; but the Witness theology never coalesced as a clear idea. There were contradictory or nonsensical ideas one can only accept if kept in isolation and trained not to think. Even in my own reading of the Bible as a PIMI, I caught the society either being wrong or "confusing." We were trained to ignore the problems and "wait on new light" or accept that "we will find out when we get there" and to focus on surviving. It makes me sad still to think of. Even before I left. There were so many people that were talking about how they were just hanging on, just hanging on because it's just around the corner.

It is so sad, as you say, so heart breaking to see people who are victims hanging on to what shred of sanity they have left. We must pray for them to wake up before it is too late.
I remember a circuit assembly where they warned from the platform to stop saying “I’m hanging in there” when people ask how we are doing. We need to always respond that we are doing great! Just hanging in there isn’t good enough and could stumble someone into thinking our grip is temporary. I was a young kid and thought that sounded completely crazy

Hanging on sounds very weak like you’re going to let go any second, so you want to express it the opposite, I need to say hold on tight or I’m holding on tight. Meaning, we have a firm grip on the so-called. TRUTH.

It is unbelievable how they can teach that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will be resurrected to earth and only have their names in *pencil* in the book of life. Wouldn't this mean that the Elders of the organization also do not have God`s holy spirit? I can remember going door to door, inviting people to attend a very special meeting held only once a year, then we`d all set through a talk explaining why we weren't qualified to do anything more then to look, to refuse when the wine and bread came by. And we did. I thought I was doing God`s will.

This definitely is an excellent video you made for us all to learn from, Eric. I truly appreciate it because it’s a subject I’m trying to understand more clearly. I did read those two watchtower study articles they had about the resurrection two weeks ago just to see what they’re teaching now. And of course, it raises many questions, and I wonder how the rank-and-file don’t realize the discrepancies and the nonsense being taught. Anyway, I really appreciate the points you brought out from the Scriptures in first Peter chapter 1 concerning the faithful man of old. So I looked up in my New World translation reference Bible of 1984. In verse 11 they do have a footnote after it says, (what sort of season the spirit in them was indicating concerning the Christ.). The footnote says, “Or, the spirit of Christ, which was in them indicated.” So their own Bible shows that they miss translated it. Just terrible how they go to these lengths to miss lead us. I’m looking forward to your next video where you bring out other verses that they have done this type deliberate misinterpretation

Your contribution to this fundamental question is extremely valuable. What the Watchtower Society intentionally negates is the fact that chapters 10 and 11 of Hebrews deal with the true implications of justification by faith. By what right can the organization withhold from the faithful prophets of pre-Christian times the blessings that God assured all His true worshippers? Why did Paul include this unequivocal message in his letter if he did not want to convey this basic truth to his readers in this way?

At Numbers 11:23-30 it says that God took away some spirit from Moses and placed “Him” (the spirit) on the seventy elders and they prophesied. When Joshua saw this he complained to Moses about it telling Moses to make them stop. Moses then said to Joshua, “Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lord’s people were prophets, that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!” This told me two things: 1. God was giving Holy Spirit to people from the beginning. 2. God gives a person the amount of Holy Spirit they need to complete the task He gives them. (Only when Moses became overwhelmed by the burden of the people did God share the spirit among the 70 elders) Notice God didn’t give more Holy Spirit, He shared the Holy Spirit that Moses already had.
This video made me recall Enoch's situation. Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. Genesis 5:24 NIV. I highly doubt that God took him means that he just died and is waiting for a resurrection to earth. I truly feel that this is an example of Jehovah taking Enoch away from the Earth to be with him in Heaven.
@jamieward7407 -- Yes we must believe in the character of God to save us, and he does and he will. Of course we must also remember that John wrote that "No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came down from heaven-the Son of Man." That scripture would not agree that Jehovah took Enoch away from the earth to be with him in "heaven". Looking at the Interlinear for Genesis 5:24, there is no word for "heaven" given there. So God took him away, but we cannot say that means to heaven, the spiritual heavens. Also, if we look at the word heaven in Strong's Concordance we can see that it means different things: heaven, (a) the visible heavens: the atmosphere, the sky, the starry heavens, (b) the spiritual heavens.

When I read Isaiah 59:20-21, it mention about what God will do with those in the new covenant that he was going to make, and it said He will bestow his Spirit on their descendants descendants, which was quoted by Paul in Romans 11:26 who was grieving over the natural jews by blood. In all mention of the new covenant He never gave a limited number Look at Jeremiah 31:34, That they will know him from the least to the greatest.

I really enjoy listening to your explanations, sometimes I have a difficult time agreeing, But I do realize that most of what you are saying has a scriptural backing. Many times I listen the same broadcasting, (if we can call it a broadcasting ) 2 or 3 times to have a grasp of the message, only because I don't want to have any misunderstanding. They don’t consider the 24 elders in revelation as being literal, but they say it’s a symbolic number of the 144000 and this 144000 is literal, but in revelation 19? It mentions 24 elders AND 144000 standing before the throne together?
Personally, I'm an atheist now. But I really appreciate your more coherent thoughts on theology that's adjacent to theirs. Early fuel for my deconversion was realizing JW doctrine was a real stretch in a lot of areas with strange readings and translation. Sometimes in service of positions that had no reason to exist. (Like the exact form of the wood Jesus was nailed to) And at other times seeming to assemble Doctrine from scattered verses that are so important it is baffling that it wasn't stated plainly somewhere.
I reached that understanding 30 years ago. Nice to see you,Eric, inform others about it. One kingdom and one hope doesn’t preclude an administrative (kings and priests) arm and a subject (member) body. Law foreshowed an priestly and kingly class. Not everyone gets that role while both obtain the kingdom. We differ on that alone. I hope gain that insight and not get blinded by the need to prove WT wrong throwing out the baby in the bath water.

Yes, they have to say that, because Moses and Elijah appeared in the transfiguration depicting what would happen at the presence or advent of Christ, which Witnesses incorrectly teach occurred in 1914.
W66 2/15 page 110 says: The old covenant missed its purpose, the producing of a “kingdom of priests.” Would the new covenant also? No! For the “blood of the covenant” is better than the animal blood that Moses sprinkled on the Law book and the Israelites. There is also a better mediator, one who does not die as Moses did.
How did the old covenant miss its purpose as GB state? They were made into a nation of priest, the Levites. The heavenly kingdom of priest would still be open to those who obeyed the law of Moses. That’s why there was a remnant of Jews who survived the destruction of Jerusalem. The prophets were faithful and Noah etc.
I imagine that if the pre Christian men and women were to get an earthly hope of resurrection then Jehovah would have revealed to them during their time that they would be resurrected back onto a perfect earth. That would have been easy for Jehovah to reveal to his prophets.
I'm not a JW, but I believe there are 2 "hopes," one for Heaven and one for Earth. One group is held to a higher standard, as they will be "kings & priests," while the other group will be those they lead and teach. I realize the Scriptures are confusing though, so I'm holding myself to the highest standard, even though I want to live a simple life on a Paradise Earth. I'm leaving it in Jehovah and Jesus' hands for clarification. I believe Jesus will soon return "like a thief" to minister to his disciples, who will be tasked with educating those who "grab ahold of the robe of a Jew." I want to be ready if I'm called to serve in Heaven, but as I said, I don't want this responsibility. I'm fine with my conjecture being wrong, because most of this is conjecture. The fact is, the Bible has been altered and mistranslated over the past 2,000 years, making it impossible to know exactly what the writers meant 100%. No group has a perfect grasp on the Scriptures, so we need to wait on Jehovah and Jesus. Thanks for your videos.
Wow! You sure you are not a JW? You are probably a student of JWs or might have JW relatives then. What you describe is what they teach. I was a JW for almost 10 years until the Lord answered a silent prayer during a JW meeting back in July of 2015. The Lord then opened my eyes to so much that my husband and I decided to leave the organization December of that same year. Praise Yah!!!

@@aliciasargent8660 I did study with them, which helped me put some important pieces of the Truth together, but I left when I saw the cracks in the WT's many lies. I don't throw the baby out with the bathwater though; I accept truth wherever I see it. The JWs have some answers, but many false doctrines meant to protect their lies. It's a cult now sadly, but there are lot of good people stuck inside who need our love and not our scorn. Don't give up on them, many are waking up.

Telling your audience not to question what they read in the scriptures and to wait for the holy spirit is akin to saying don't question the Governing Body and wait on Jehovah. The only difference is that you have moved your confidence from the Governing Idiots to men farther in the past who claimed to speak for God. To not question, whether it be the pronouncements of WatchTower or those found in scripture, is to surrender critical thinking. If the scriptures are truth they will stand up to questioning and scrutiny.
You're absolutely right, but wrong in suggesting that I was telling my audience not to question. What I was saying was that there are things we cannot know. When it comes to things which are clearly stated in Scripture, we should not disbelieve simply because we cannot understand who they work. Photons act as waves and also as particles. Revelation 6-19 refers to the Tribulation period (70th week of Daniel, Jacob's Trouble, Day of the Lord, etc.), which has not happened yet, and therefore 0 of the 144,000 have been sealed to date. Teaching otherwise is called Preterism and requires serious mental gymnastics. The simple truth is that just as Jesus fulfilled the spring festivals during the first century (Passover/Unleavened Bread/First Fruits/Pentecost), he will fulfill the fall festivals at the second coming. The major fall festivals are Yom Teruah (Rosh Hoshana / Feast of Trumpets - a harvest festival) occurring over two days (Tishrei 1&2) and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement, picturing Messiah returning to the Mount of Olives) on Tishrei 10 . The seven days in between reference Daniel's final prophetic week which Jesus describes in Matthew 24 - the worst period of human history - directly before Messiah returns to Earth as conquering King (Messiah ben David). Sukkot (Festival of Booths) references the Millennium. The purpose of the Tribulation is to bring decedents of Abraham to saving faith in Jesus although they are not part of the Bride of Christ and to judge a Christ rejecting world. This is pictured in the Old Testament as Joseph with his gentile bride living in a palace while his brothers were outside enduring famine for...seven years. The first resurrection is 'the harpazo' spoken of in 1 Thes 4:17 (AKA: the 'Rapture' of the Church) and the second occurs, according to Revelation, after the millennium. Everything you need to know for obtaining salvation, and understanding the situation of natural Jews, is described in Romans chapters 9-11. God wants a relationship with his creation, not religion. Romans 10: 9, 10: "if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved." (KJV) Jesus tells us in Revelation 3:10-12 that we can be spared the wrath to come upon the whole Earth: Because you have kept My command to persevere, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. The one who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will never again leave it. It's easy to disprove many of the society's doctrines however filling that empty space is a challenge for everyone and sadly many simply become atheist so thank you for helping to do that. Many of Russell's ideas were grafted from contemporaries like Sir Robert Anderson and Clarence Larkin, who did brilliant work, but twisted their approach to his narrative. This is why the Watchtower dropped all references to Nelson Barbour decades ago and William Miller was probably never credited by them despite the fact that his experience in the War of 1812 was the genesis of the Second Great Awakening that ultimately spawned both a revival of traditional churches as well as several cults. Everything we need for salvation is in the Bible however there are other materials that help elucidate the meaning (reference works, books of history, etc. such as found at Qumran). Just as we cannot understand the Old Testament without understanding Jesus, and we cannot understand the New Testament without understanding Israel. I think that if you dig a bit more into the history and development of Preterism (the idea that Revelation already happened), Supercessionism (the idea that the Church replaced Israel), the Dead Sea Scrolls Solar Calendar (the Pharisees were called Children of Darkness in part because they adopted a Lunar Calendar post Babylonian Exile) as well as Sanhedrin 97A of the Talmud which details the teaching of Ages that the school of Elijah taught, your historical exegesis will pop with additional depth. The last thing the world needs are more opinionated ill-informed people claiming to speak for God.

The witnesses could argue that the Israelites were made into kings and priest and a holy nation on earth. King David and many were appointed as priest, the levites.
What is the point of being righteous? My answer would be, doing the right thing even when no one is looking, gives you a clean conscience, that you are doing right by everyone. I am not dead , but it sure makes me feel good about myself. Another thing, I have lost many family members over the centuries, they never had the opportunity to learn about Jehovah's purpose for mankind, this are the unrighteous people that have died, whether they know it or not they get a chance to learn about God's righteous standards that can be apply it to their daily lives. Jehovah God is a God of Justice, wisdom, power but most of all he is Love, and giving people of all nationalities a chance to learn about Jehovah's purpose for mankind to live in a righteous world, you do know that people can change, and that is very loving in God's part. Who wouldn't want to live in a paradise earth, with righteousness people, and as for the righteous that died, will be resurrected to everlasting life, they have inherit the earth, what a marvelous gift from God to give to the righteous ones. My question is, if the 24 elders mentioned in Revelation picture the whole gathered anointed after Armageddon or during, why are we not understanding the number 24 as being literal if the number 144000 is literal figure?
Regarding exodus 19:6. The WT of 2012 says: However, when the Messiah arrived, he would introduce the new covenant foretold by Jeremiah. Those who accepted the Christ were invited to become party to the new covenant and would actually become “a kingdom of priests.” The Israelites were given priest but because they could keep the laws perfectly, the greater high priest Jesus gave them a new covenant. But true, they did become a nation of priest but they were literal priest not heavenly priest?

When so many go to heaven. What will be left there? Who lives then still on earth, as it was originally God's plan. I already assumed that relatively few go to heaven for the purpose of co-regents. That Daniel and Co. would live on the earth is rather consistent. After all, this is God's intention!
If you take all the faithful people of preChristian times and all the faithful Christians, you'd have more than 144,000, but you'd still have a small number in comparison with the Billions who have lived and live now. How are those billions going to be restored to perfection as sinless humans living on earth and part of God's universal family? That is the work of the anointed children of God.
It isn't membership that Jehovah promised those in the covenant, but inheritance. According to the Organization, the other sheep don't inherit the kingdom. They are just friends. They are not even in any covenant relationship with God, so that means God has made them no promise. Jehovah doesn't have to keep his word to the other sheep, because he never promised them anything. If he had, then they would be in an covenant with God. Of course, I'm speaking from the standpoint of JW teaching.

His point was that no religion was acceptable to God, but rather what he looked for then and now was individuals who would worship Him in sprit and in truth. You cannot worship in truth if you are required to obey the doctrines of men.

I’m so glad that I’m no longer in this man made religion!! I learned that Jehovah isn’t his name. The letter J was created in 1524 by Gian Giorgio Trissino. No prophet, old congregation, bible writer, or his son ever used, pronounced and knew of this name. Even if it was, the use of his name is used in a disrespectful manner. It’s supposed to be holy, respected and higher than any name. A president, king, politician, or parent isn’t called by their name, God should be even higher!!!
Jesus was the first ressurection to heaven from death! He also took the keys of Abyss.( means nobody can die without his permission)with Him along with old testament servents to heaven from Abraham buzum and emptied it now only uncomfortable side is operating for people who don't die in Jesus ,every believer now goes to heaven upon death.rest will wait until end of 1000 yrs to be judged by Jesus, no such thing people will be ressurected during millennial rain .( that's included my jw mother)
Just off topic, can anyone help me with this. I was told recently that my departure from Jw will cost me as this is his chosen organization. Then I was told about Acts 15:14 which is about “a separate group of people for my name” I guess being a Jw one would feel this people consists of ones in this religion. Does anyone have a response or comment/thoughts on this ? Thank you
Whenever I hear a challenge like this made by Witnesses, my first response it to ask a question. It goes like this: What if a Seventh Day Adventist, or a Baptist, were to use this reasoning to try to get one of your Bible Students to remain in their religion? What reasoning would you use to get your Bible Student to leave and be baptised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses? They will invariable answer: I'd tell my student that those religions are false, because they teach the Trinity, hellfire, and the immortal soul. We have the true religion. Now that you've got the JW in question to commit to a criteria for leaving a religion, you can ask, Would not the same reasoning apply to Jehovah's Witnesses? Can they be "a separate group of people for my name" if they are teaching false doctrines like the other religions? You can take it from there.

In this sense, even for Hananiah, the term "prophet" is used in the Hebrew Scriptures. Thus, a prophet has proved to be a false prophet by spreading prophecies among his countrymen in the name of God that have not become reality. The fate that befell such false prophets in ancient Israel can be deduced from the following biblical narrative. The consequence described in Jeremiah chapter 28 follows the principle documented in Deuteronomy 18:20-22 as a general binding maxim. According to this principle, all presidents of the Watchtower Society, from Russell to Rutherford to Knorr and Co., would have been classified as "false prophets" and would have had to be shunned from now on by the other true worshippers of God in order not to lose the favor of the true God. Excellent Eric. I’m beginning to understand more and more with these videos. My sincere sorrow is for the GB. They have lost all sense in their teaching and harming so many honest hearted Christians. They have not listened not to go beyond what is written, but decided to do their own writing. Wow, to think that they will get away with that is beyond me. If we believe in the sacrifice of Jesus' shed blood on our behalf and His resurrection from the dead; then no matter what, we will not loose our Salvation. We might "struggle with" faith, because of this dangerous religion and it's horrid influence; however, as in my own personal experience, God saved me, anyway. He waited patiently for me to ask Him into my heart (He stood knocking at the door of my heart and I accepted His gift and invited Him in). Scriptures speak to this! It is He who knows us, better than we think!! His Salvation is for ALL of us. He will not let us go, if we "belong to Him"!

I remember long chats with different brothers and sisters in service groups about the "1000" year reign and the new system. Only because I was indoctrinated from childhood with the "core" concept of the Witness idea of the "new system" and resurrections did I accept it; but the Witness theology never coalesced as a clear idea. There were contradictory or nonsensical ideas one can only accept if kept in isolation and trained not to think. Even in my own reading of the Bible as a PIMI, I caught the society either being wrong or "confusing." We were trained to ignore the problems and "wait on new light" or accept that "we will find out when we get there" and to focus on surviving. It makes me sad still to think of. Even before I left. There were so many people that were talking about how they were just hanging on, just hanging on because it's just around the corner.

I remember a circuit assembly where they warned from the platform to stop saying “I’m hanging in there” when people ask how we are doing. We need to always respond that we are doing great! I can remember going door to door, inviting people to attend a very special meeting held only once a year, then we`d all set through a talk explaining why we weren't qualified to do anything more then to look, to refuse when the wine and bread came by.

This definitely is an excellent video you made for us all to learn from, Eric. I truly appreciate it because it’s a subject I’m trying to understand more clearly. I did read those two watchtower study articles they had about the resurrection two weeks ago just to see what they’re teaching now. And of course, it raises many questions, and I wonder how the rank-and-file don’t realize the discrepancies and the nonsense being taught. Anyway, I really appreciate the points you brought out from the Scriptures in first Peter chapter 1 concerning the faithful man of old. So I looked up in my New World translation reference Bible of 1984. In verse 11 they do have a footnote after it says, (what sort of season the spirit in them was indicating concerning the Christ.). The footnote says, “Or, the spirit of Christ, which was in them indicated.”
So their own Bible shows that they miss translated it. Just terrible how they go to these lengths to miss lead us.

What the Watchtower Society intentionally negates is the fact that chapters 10 and 11 of Hebrews deal with the true implications of justification by faith. By what right can the organization withhold from the faithful prophets of pre-Christian times the blessings that God assured all His true worshippers? Why did Paul include this unequivocal message in his letter if he did not want to convey this basic truth to his readers in this way?

At Numbers 11:23-30 it says that God took away some spirit from Moses and placed “Him” (the spirit) on the seventy elders and they prophesied.
When Joshua saw this he complained to Moses about it telling Moses to make them stop. Moses then said to Joshua, “Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lord’s people were prophets, that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”
This told me two things:
1. God was giving Holy Spirit to people from the beginning.
2. God gives a person the amount of Holy Spirit they need to complete the task He gives them. (Only when Moses became overwhelmed by the burden of the people did God share the spirit among the 70 elders) Notice God didn’t give more Holy Spirit, He shared the Holy Spirit that Moses already had.

This video made me recall Enoch's situation. Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. Genesis 5:24 NIV. I highly doubt that God took him means that he just died and is waiting for a resurrection to earth. I truly feel that this is an example of Jehovah taking Enoch away from the Earth to be with him in Heaven.
@jamieward7407 -- Yes we must believe in the character of God to save us, and he does and he will. Of course we must also remember that John wrote that "No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came down from heaven-the Son of Man." That scripture would not agree that Jehovah took Enoch away from the earth to be with him in "heaven". Looking at the Interlinear for Genesis 5:24, there is no word for "heaven" given there. So God took him away, but we cannot say that means to heaven, the spiritual heavens. Also, if we look at the word heaven in Strong's Concordance we can see that it means different things: heaven, (a) the visible heavens: the atmosphere, the sky, the starry heavens, (b) the spiritual heavens.

Second, the Lord Yehoshua Ha'mashiach "Jesus Christ" died for the sins of the whole world. And third, unbelief is not blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, at least not in that one aspect alone.
Just as we, as full-time workers, should see that our Lord ''Jesus Christ'' is righteous even when paying everyone a denarius, even those who ministered for only an hour, so should we rejoice in their lives in the Book of Life as well stand, even if they should have doubted and quarreled much more than we ourselves.

They don’t consider the 24 elders in revelation as being literal, but they say it’s a symbolic number of the 144000 and this 144000 is literal, but in revelation 19? It mentions 24 elders AND 144000 standing before the throne together?
Personally, I'm an atheist now. But I really appreciate your more coherent thoughts on theology that's adjacent to theirs. Early fuel for my deconversion was realizing JW doctrine was a real stretch in a lot of areas with strange readings and translation. Sometimes in service of positions that had no reason to exist. (Like the exact form of the wood Jesus was nailed to) And at other times seeming to assemble Doctrine from scattered verses that are so important it is baffling that it wasn't stated plainly somewhere.
I reached that understanding 30 years ago. Nice to see you,Eric, inform others about it. One kingdom and one hope doesn’t preclude an administrative (kings and priests) arm and a subject (member) body. Law foreshowed an priestly and kingly class. Not everyone gets that role while both obtain the kingdom. We differ on that alone. I hope gain that insight and not get blinded by the need to prove WT wrong throwing out the baby in the bath water.

W66 2/15 page 110 says: The old covenant missed its purpose, the producing of a “kingdom of priests.” Would the new covenant also? No! For the “blood of the covenant” is better than the animal blood that Moses sprinkled on the Law book and the Israelites. There is also a better mediator, one who does not die as Moses did.
How did the old covenant miss its purpose as GB state? They were made into a nation of priest, the Levites. The heavenly kingdom of priest would still be open to those who obeyed the law of Moses. That’s why there was a remnant of Jews who survived the destruction of Jerusalem. The prophets were faithful and Noah etc.
I imagine that if the pre Christian men and women were to get an earthly hope of resurrection then Jehovah would have revealed to them during their time that they would be resurrected back onto a perfect earth. That would have been easy for Jehovah to reveal to his prophets.

I'm not a JW, but I believe there are 2 "hopes," one for Heaven and one for Earth. One group is held to a higher standard, as they will be "kings & priests," while the other group will be those they lead and teach. I realize the Scriptures are confusing though, so I'm holding myself to the highest standard, even though I want to live a simple life on a Paradise Earth. I'm leaving it in Jehovah and Jesus' hands for clarification. I believe Jesus will soon return "like a thief" to minister to his disciples, who will be tasked with educating those who "grab ahold of the robe of a Jew." I want to be ready if I'm called to serve in Heaven, but as I said, I don't want this responsibility. I'm fine with my conjecture being wrong, because most of this is conjecture. The fact is, the Bible has been altered and mistranslated over the past 2,000 years, making it impossible to know exactly what the writers meant 100%. No group has a perfect grasp on the Scriptures, so we need to wait on Jehovah and Jesus.

I was a JW for almost 10 years until the Lord answered a silent prayer during a JW meeting back in July of 2015. The Lord then opened my eyes to so much that my husband and I decided to leave the organization December of that same year. Praise Yah!!!

@@aliciasargent8660 I did study with them, which helped me put some important pieces of the Truth together, but I left when I saw the cracks in the WT's many lies. I don't throw the baby out with the bathwater though; I accept truth wherever I see it. The JWs have some answers, but many false doctrines meant to protect their lies. It's a cult now sadly, but there are lot of good people stuck inside who need our love and not our scorn. Don't give up on them, many are waking up.

So the prophets who had the Holy Spirit, had the spirit of Christ
Telling your audience not to question what they read in the scriptures and to wait for the holy spirit is akin to saying don't question the Governing Body and wait on Jehovah. The only difference is that you have moved your confidence from the Governing Idiots to men farther in the past who claimed to speak for God.

You're absolutely right, but wrong in suggesting that I was telling my audience not to question. What I was saying was that there are things we cannot know. When it comes to things which are clearly stated in Scripture, we should not disbelieve simply because we cannot understand who they work.
Photons act as waves and also as particles. How can they be both? I don't know. However, my inability to explain that phenomenon will not cause me to deny the existence of light.

Revelation 6-19 refers to the Tribulation period (70th week of Daniel, Jacob's Trouble, Day of the Lord, etc.), which has not happened yet, and therefore 0 of the 144,000 have been sealed to date. Teaching otherwise is called Preterism and requires serious mental gymnastics. The simple truth is that just as Jesus fulfilled the spring festivals during the first century (Passover/Unleavened Bread/First Fruits/Pentecost), he will fulfill the fall festivals at the second coming.
The major fall festivals are Yom Teruah (Rosh Hoshana / Feast of Trumpets - a harvest festival) occurring over two days (Tishrei 1&2) and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement, picturing Messiah returning to the Mount of Olives) on Tishrei 10 . The seven days in between reference Daniel's final prophetic week which Jesus describes in Matthew 24 - the worst period of human history - directly before Messiah returns to Earth as conquering King (Messiah ben David). Sukkot (Festival of Booths) references the Millennium.
The purpose of the Tribulation is to bring decedents of Abraham to saving faith in Jesus although they are not part of the Bride of Christ and to judge a Christ rejecting world. This is pictured in the Old Testament as Joseph with his gentile bride living in a palace while his brothers were outside enduring famine for...seven years. The first resurrection is 'the harpazo' spoken of in 1 Thes 4:17 (AKA: the 'Rapture' of the Church) and the second occurs, according to Revelation, after the millennium. Everything you need to know for obtaining salvation, and understanding the situation of natural Jews, is described in Romans chapters 9-11. God wants a relationship with his creation, not religion.

Many of Russell's ideas were grafted from contemporaries like Sir Robert Anderson and Clarence Larkin, who did brilliant work, but twisted their approach to his narrative. This is why the Watchtower dropped all references to Nelson Barbour decades ago and William Miller was probably never credited by them despite the fact that his experience in the War of 1812 was the genesis of the Second Great Awakening that ultimately spawned both a revival of traditional churches as well as several cults. Everything we need for salvation is in the Bible however there are other materials that help elucidate the meaning (reference works, books of history, etc. such as found at Qumran). Just as we cannot understand the Old Testament without understanding Jesus, and we cannot understand the New Testament without understanding Israel.
I think that if you dig a bit more into the history and development of Preterism (the idea that Revelation already happened), Supercessionism (the idea that the Church replaced Israel), the Dead Sea Scrolls Solar Calendar (the Pharisees were called Children of Darkness in part because they adopted a Lunar Calendar post Babylonian Exile) as well as Sanhedrin 97A of the Talmud which details the teaching of Ages that the school of Elijah taught, your historical exegesis will pop with additional depth. The last thing the world needs are more opinionated ill-informed people claiming to speak for God.

The witnesses could argue that the Israelites were made into kings and priest and a holy nation on earth. King David and many were appointed as priest, the levites.
What is the point of being righteous? My answer would be, doing the right thing even when no one is looking, gives you a clean conscience, that you are doing right by everyone. I am not dead , but it sure makes me feel good about myself.
Another thing, I have lost many family members over the centuries, they never had the opportunity to learn about Jehovah's purpose for mankind, this are the unrighteous people that have died, whether they know it or not they get a chance to learn about God's righteous standards that can be apply it to their daily lives. Jehovah God is a God of Justice, wisdom, power but most of all he is Love, and giving people of all nationalities a chance to learn about Jehovah's purpose for mankind to live in a righteous world, you do know that people can change, and that is very loving in God's part. Regarding exodus 19:6. The WT of 2012 says: However, when the Messiah arrived, he would introduce the new covenant foretold by Jeremiah. Those who accepted the Christ were invited to become party to the new covenant and would actually become “a kingdom of priests.” The Israelites were given priest but because they could keep the laws perfectly, the greater high priest Jesus gave them a new covenant. But true, they did become a nation of priest but they were literal priest not heavenly priest?
The offer was taken away from the nation of Israel, but not from individual descendants of Abraham. Now it is offered to both Jew and Gentile.

When so many go to heaven. What will be left there? Who lives then still on earth, as it was originally God's plan. I already assumed that relatively few go to heaven for the purpose of co-regents. That Daniel and Co. would live on the earth is rather consistent. After all, this is God's intention!
If you take all the faithful people of preChristian times and all the faithful Christians, you'd have more than 144,000, but you'd still have a small number in comparison with the Billions who have lived and live now. How are those billions going to be restored to perfection as sinless humans living on earth and part of God's universal family? That is the work of the anointed children of God.
But a man living on earth can also be seen as a member of the kingdom, or am I wrong?
It isn't membership that Jehovah promised those in the covenant, but inheritance. According to the Organization, the other sheep don't inherit the kingdom. They are just friends. They are not even in any covenant relationship with God, so that means God has made them no promise. Jehovah doesn't have to keep his word to the other sheep, because he never promised them anything. If he had, then they would be in an covenant with God. Of course, I'm speaking from the standpoint of JW teaching.
Can l say that the couple you refer to didn't dedicate their lives to 'the organisation ', they dedicated their lives to Jehovah.
That's what they thought they were doing, I'm sure. So it is with most JWs. But now ask anyone in that position if they would disobey the Governing Body if they learned that the Bible told them to do something different than the GB instructs.

Jesus' answer wasn't that the true religion was no longer found in Israel nor the Mountain Samaritan's used, but in Jehovah's Witnesses. His point was that no religion was acceptable to God, but rather what he looked for then and now was individuals who would worship Him in sprit and in truth.
You cannot worship in truth if you are required to obey the doctrines of men.

I’m so glad that I’m no longer in this man made religion!! I learned that Jehovah isn’t his name. The letter J was created in 1524 by Gian Giorgio Trissino. No prophet, old congregation, bible writer, or his son ever used, pronounced and knew of this name. Even if it was, the use of his name is used in a disrespectful manner. It’s supposed to be holy, respected and higher than any name. A president, king, politician, or parent isn’t called by their name, God should be even higher!!!

Jesus was the first ressurection to heaven from death! He also took the keys of Abyss.( means nobody can die without his permission)with Him along with old testament servents to heaven from Abraham buzum and emptied it now only uncomfortable side is operating for people who don't die in Jesus ,every believer now goes to heaven upon death.rest will wait until end of 1000 yrs to be judged by Jesus, no such thing people will be ressurected during millennial rain .( that's included my jw mother)

Just off topic, can anyone help me with this. I was told recently that my departure from Jw will cost me as this is his chosen organization. Then I was told about Acts 15:14 which is about “a separate group of people for my name” I guess being a Jw one would feel this people consists of ones in this religion. Does anyone have a response or comment/thoughts on this ? Thank you
Whenever I hear a challenge like this made by Witnesses, my first response it to ask a question. It goes like this: What if a Seventh Day Adventist, or a Baptist, were to use this reasoning to try to get one of your Bible Students to remain in their religion? What reasoning would you use to get your Bible Student to leave and be baptised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses?
They will invariable answer: I'd tell my student that those religions are false, because they teach the Trinity, hellfire, and the immortal soul. We have the true religion.
Now that you've got the JW in question to commit to a criteria for leaving a religion, you can ask, Would not the same reasoning apply to Jehovah's Witnesses? Can they be "a separate group of people for my name" if they are teaching false doctrines like the other religions?
You can take it from there.

@@mrgordy1980 They aren't the only religion that uses God's name. For instance, the Iglesia ni Christ, numbering in the millions, established in 1914 in the Philippians also uses Jehovah extensively, so if that it the criteria, then how do they account for that church?

According to the Hebrew Scriptures, false prophets appeared among God's chosen people at that time.
In this sense, even for Hananiah, the term "prophet" is used in the Hebrew Scriptures.
Thus, a prophet has proved to be a false prophet by spreading prophecies among his countrymen in the name of God that have not become reality.
The fate that befell such false prophets in ancient Israel can be deduced from the following biblical narrative.
The consequence described in Jeremiah chapter 28 follows the principle documented in Deuteronomy 18:20-22 as a general binding maxim.
According to this principle, all presidents of the Watchtower Society, from Russell to Rutherford to Knorr and Co., would have been classified as "false prophets" and would have had to be shunned from now on by the other true worshippers of God in order not to lose the favor of the true God.
Jehovah's Witnesses who claim to honor the God of the Bible are obviously unaware of this essential aspect.
Today's doctrine of the "overlapping generation," which is synonymous with prophecy in God's name, is also not biblical and must therefore be rejected by all true worshippers of God. But even today, the Watchtower Society requires its members to accept this unbiblical prediction in the name of God and to preach publicly as absolute truth.
Some time ago I asked a Jehovah's Witness, who serves as an elder, whether the individual Jehovah's Witness was entitled to doubt or question this particular doctrine without fear of consequences. However, this question was clearly answered in the negative, although I was able to prove to him that this rule is also enshrined unchanged in the New Testament. (Acts 1:7; 2 Peter 3:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:1).
For all currently published teachings are classified as relevant to salvation from the point of view of the organization.
The organization therefore requires its members to disregard this maxim of the Bible in order to live up to the commandments of its governing body and not to fall out of favor with this authority.
These arbitrary guidelines alone compel the true believer to leave the organization if one does not want to come into conflict with the basic commandments of God.
Jeremiah Chapter 28
"In that same year, in the beginning of the reign of King Zed·e·kiʹaha of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, the prophet H a n · a · n i ʹ a h the son of Azʹzur from Gibʹe·on said to me in the house of Jehovah in the presence of the priests and all the people:
2 “T h i s i s what J e h o v a h of armies, the God of Israel, s a y s , ‘I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.
3 Within two years* I am bringing back to this place all the utensils of the house of Jehovah that King Neb·u·chad·nezʹzar of Babylon took from this place and brought to Babylon.’”
4 “‘And I will bring back to this place Jec·o·niʹahe son of Je·hoiʹa·kim,f the king of Judah, and all the exiles of Judah who have gone to Babylon,’g declares Jehovah, ‘for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.’”

I spell our Creator name wrong it's actually "Yahuah" and his Son name is Yahshua and not Jesus. Please do your research. You can find it on the Torah our the Jewish Bible or Cepher Bible. I once believed his name was Jesus as well until I started doing a lot of digging. Most English Bibles are not completely right. The God of this current World doesn't want people find the truth. All religion are tainted. You have a lot of so called Cristians who still celebrate pagan holidays. Please do your research and read those Bibles I mentioned. Take Care
