I would really want you to do a Kenya version of study tips because the syllabus is not the same and some tips don't relate please just be doing a video for the Kenyans
@@Random-w5r Yeah school forces us to do homework and study so many subjects and it isn't just exams and assignments that make us stressful it's also because of grades
Guys for u the assignments actually fetch you marks. I think around 50% or more of your grade. In my highschool, in India it's only worth for 10% of your grade and they give a ton of assignments + preparation for the one final exam worth 90% your grade is waaay worse than that. So just consider yourself that you are blessed to receive some amount of human dignity from the board which I don't get over here..
Same in my middle school my social studies class gives us like 2 projects a week along with other assignments and he only gives us 1 day to do the projects If high school is going to be like this I'm going to die
For me I’m not really stressed bc of my grades, exams or assignments, but it is the schedule. Like 7 am to 4:10 pm and with school on Saturdays is absolute torture. Every time I go home from school, I get a headache and just sleep.
Thank you Gohar! I had a down sophomore and junior year due to personal conflicts and issues. Senior year I’ve been killing it with a 4.5 GPA(straight A’s) in 4 AP and 2 Honors classes. Senioritis is starting to kick in, but I want to make that final push to end high school on a high note and ensure I get into a T20. Edit: First Semester, ended up keeping a 4.33 GPA with 89s in Physics C and English. Everything else is A/A-. I’ve also gotten into Northeastern, RPI 35k per year, and 5 more. 10 more are coming in March so gotta lock in.
@@goharsguide Thank you so much for your reply Gohar! I did Early Decision to Cornell and I sent my Q1 grades in. Thankfully the program I applied to was Test-Blind. Remember: In life, you don't need to be perfect at everything. You will get into a university. You will graduate. You will get a job. You will be happy. Just don't give up!
1. Stress is okay, it can even be good if you 2. Contextualize, looking at the big picture can help you realize that a low grade isn't doomsday 3. Focus on inputs (what you can control i.e. time you study, asking for help) over outputs (what you can't control i.e. grades) especially when you know you put in the effort 4. Find outlets or ways to detach from school, it can either be short-term (i.e. quick breaks) or long-term (i.e. weekend plans) 5. Talk it out
I was literally in tears from the stress and exhaustion, just scrolling, and this popped up. Thank for this timing, it wasn't a coincidence it was posted now
That one tip about ‘the 70 is gonna fade out real quick’ was so helpful to me! I’m currently stressed after getting depressed and sick at the worst times and got several bad grades in AP Bio in a row. As someone aspiring to be a bio or biomed major thats *not great*. My quarter grade is a C+ right now and it’s close to the end of the quarter. But I have decent grades (As and a B or 2) in all my other classes and my other ap as well as a bunch of extracurriculars (competitive dance, daycare job, winter percussion) to make up for it so thanks for helping me talk myself out of further spiraling down 😅
I have something to add about being happy with the work you put into assignments. It puts me down when I put everything I can into an assignment, and not do good. And then I see people who gets hundreds without trying. It makes me feel like I’m not a student good enough for a top spot, or good college. I understand that is something I need to work on.
Same thing here dude. Study so hard for the test, and end up getting a c. Then there’s this one student “I got 100 percent and I didn’t even study.” Makes me so mad, it’s when you compare yourself to other kids, it really stresses you out and makes you feel like a failure. It’s really hard to not compare yourself to other students.
Stress is ok. Stress curve: eustress : normal stress low grades: are not the end of world. Focus on inputs not outputs: giving ur all Preventing Burn out: Short term: taking a break Long term: watch movie, go out, read a book. ❄️☃️💗🎉

I am one of triplets and my sister is so smart and doesn’t study…she is just naturally good at remembering information we learned about. I am not good at anything. I draw, but i will never be the best at drawing because another kid in my grade is better than me. I am literally bad at everything. I am sorry for venting, but i don’t know what i want to be, don’t know how i will succeed, and i just want to be smart and talented. I work so hard and it doesn’t pay off. I study for hours and still get cs and ds.

Hey Gohar, I just wanted to say how grateful I am for this video, just last night I was literally balling my eyes out because I live in Australia it is the end of my school year. Just one week into my year 10 courses as I just said, I was balling my eyes out because the work is already so much more physically and mentally challenging. This video is going to be very helpful next year 😂
