Definition of ethereal. Next up for her; suggestion: "Trollabundin - live, with the Danish national symphony orchestra."

Agree with this suggestion. I actually would like to see Boudy react to this AND her earlier version of this, her solo performance from 8 years ago, with only her drum (and the short sequence when also followed up by the drummer from "Vamp"). I think it`s wonderful to see how she has developed this performance.
So stunning with the orchestra. Even though to me she still stands out even more in her earlier version from 8 years ago.
(The 13 year old first version is quite impressive as well.) A stunning and amazing performances I think.

Eivør was born on the Faroe Island ( Kingdom of Denmark ) And now lives in Denmark.
And have won many awards as a singer in Denmark.
She really is magical, not just with her voice, but her energy, and how she use that together.

I´ve had the great fortune to see Eivør in concert on three occasions - once on her own in a small setting, once with this band in a larger setting, and - about a year ago - with our National-Orchestra and Erik Selvik. All quite magical:)

You're so right, Eivør is from a small community on the Faroe islands.. She's an elf woman as far as I'm concerned, what she transmits is not from here. I was lucky enough to hear her at a festival, not knowing who she was. Absolutely mesmerising 💚 I can only imagine the anxiety you're going through, and I'm glad you now have this magical music to listen to 🙏💚

This is amazing! I’m glad you finally arrived here, to experience her and the most beautiful song ever written / performed (to me at least).
I am so excited for you to experience this song, and for everyone else that has not listened to it or her. Open your heart to it. Music is a way to express energy, and the energy in this song is beautiful and powerful, and brilliantly and amazingly loving conveyed by her, that is why she’s magical.
Please check out “Wake me Up” -Live. it’ll fuck your up with magic and feeling only conveyed by this magical being.

As a seb-derm sufferer; Head and Shoulders Clinical Strength Selenium Sulfide with Manuka Honey combined with Pureskin Seborrheic Dermatitis Cream (2-3 times a week, it is Intense!), has done wonders for me personally. Also, anything you can do to stem oil buildup is good, even cheap brown hand paper towels will absorb a lot of oils.
Also, I friggin love this song.

Like Alanfoster I would also suggest "Trodlabundin" but (even though I live in Copenhagen) because of what you said about working with what you have where you are, I'd suggest the version recorded live in a field half way up the side of a Norwegian fjord - a woman and her bodhran (or whatever she's playing). Or listen to both.

Eivør is indeed pronouced exacly like your first suggestion. I keep telling my American friends that the ø is pronouced exacly like the "i" in bird. For reference, the å is pronounced just like "oo" in floor :). Awsome reaction to one of my favourite live performances around.

Everything on the Faroe Islands is a village, the population of the entire country is ~50.000 people. This was filmed in the capital Tórshavn, a rather large village.
Funny side note, the English name 'Faroe Islands' actually means Sheep Island Island, since the 'oe' (actually ø/øya) means Island.

🦋 this was a beautiful video. And I’m glad that it put at rest, if only for a few moments, the noise in your head. Please know that I am a listener that feels very blessed, to not only hear, all the beautiful music that you recommend, but the pathway that you’ve created to allow other people a pathway by playing things that they recommend. And so many people benefit from that probably in more ways than you’ll ever know. Peace be upon thee.

Beautiful reaction, Boudy! So nice to hear how it made you feel. I really hope to see you react some more to Eivør, she is an incredible singer/songwriter and artist. I have 3 favorite female singers, and they all come from my part of the world. Angelina and Aurora from Norway, and then Eivør from the Faeroe Islands. The Faeroe Islands is situated due west of Norway, and due north of England. We have a very specific soundscape over here, and I loved to hear your thoughts and references. Great stuff. Let's see if this comment can lure Suleyman Wolfgangsdottir out of the shadows 😁 Have a great weekend! Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

I know that this song isn't meant to be religious, but it reminds me of when I first found Jesus and accepted Him into my life. The overwhelming love and peace that I felt when choosing to fall free into faith and trust in Him through repentance was such an overwhelming experience.❤

i have seen them all, all reactions to this song and yet you had some points i havn't thought about or heard about before. great reaction, i hope some more of her songs will follow.
by the way she is a classically trained sopran and owns a masters degree in traditional nordic vocal techniques.
since you mentioned the live quality, there are several songs live a the studio, i'd reccomend for example bridges live at sudio bloch. but you can pick literally anything, there will be no disappointment.

THANK YOU for EIVOR! It is amazing how precisely you described the atmosphere of this song! Amazing! Thank You for my Beautiful EIVOR! Regarding your nation"s music... honestly ... I... kind of, wasn't too impressed by an Arabic music (even if I I know that there are some very talented musicians there - in your music) I like 80-ies, I like the Classic Rock, I like Prog Rock..... What music /artist/band you would suggest me to listen to from your country (an Arabic music)? That would be a discovery? P.S. I really did like Ofra Haza, but she is Isrealian, not Arabic, I think....
