I was actually able to snag one at MSRP from Amazon a couple of days ago and I'm super excited. As you alluded to, the main reason I wanted this was to get performance in a tablet form factor. My main use case for this is taking it with me to Hawaii for on the go drone video editing. I cannot wait to get it.
its such an incredible device, i was lucky and got mine for MSRP. scalpers purchased in bulk and resold for almost twice the msrp price. i wish i was able to get the production numbers for both the RMT01 and RMT02.
Truly incredible, I cannot praise the device enough having been with me through two really bad rainstorms, being tossed several times due to rain, sliding across rough surfaces and the device still looks like new. No software issues to report, gaming is alwyas flawless. It was more than worth the MSRP. @@joling0
I was skeptical also, but when I received mine I actually like it a lot more than what it looked like in the pictures. It really feels good in hand and carrying around. My only issue is the keyboard. Some of the keys are really hard to see and I haven't figured out which key can control the volume. They also do not sell any other keyboard options or even a replacement keyboard for the entire Z 13 Flow series. I do notice some sound distortion when listening to music or video even in lower volume settings, which I'm not sure why when my other cheaper laptop sounds clearer. It could be a defect or that's how the speakers sound on this. I dread sending it in for any kind of repair as working with Asus and repair service sounds like a nightmare taking almost two months to get it back. Not sure if I keep it yet, but if it didn't have these issues I would definitely keep it.
really great that you had and were able to compare it to the previous z13 model, I was close to ordering one of those, but I have ordered an acronym instead. best review on this hardware platform on the internet to date my guy. I intend to use mine with an tb3 egpu with a 3070ti and a 2k 165hz monitor... heres hoping it works well in that config, but I really like the I like the flexibility and portability of this
me personally i will say switching laptop design to this is very positive and futuristic but it still expensive because of high end rog and specs we hope we see more gaming laptops with dgpu like this in the future with more productivity or modern design and budget price
I had it and it was buggy. the lettering would be decent if the lights turned on automatically every time it was opened and trackpad hurt my hand/wrist wish it was bigger
How is it to use on your lap with no keyboard? I had the z13 from last year and I loved using it on my laptop with a Xbox controller. The shape on this one looks like it would make It more uncomfortable with the sharp edges.
I didn’t really test battery now that I think about it. But it lasted me enough time to step away and go to a coffee shop or whatever for several hours without battery anxiety. Probably not MacBook levels, but I think you can get like 6 hours out of light to moderate use. The charger was so small that I just had it with me all the time.

that's great. I think it'll be perfect for your needs. I did some editing on it and it performed very well
How is the laptop holding up?

The speakers to me overall didn't sound good. Crackling could be related to driver issues. I also hate the keyboard. It's hard to figure out the keys

Very thorough review. Love how you pointed out all the neat design elements.
Thanks. Yeah love the design and some of the quality of life improvements they made.
As someone with a Techwear aesthetic. Can't wait for mine to get here.

I agree. I really liked this laptop
Looks good, too bad it's overpriced here in Europe (50% more expensive somehow)
I had it and it was buggy. the lettering would be decent if the lights turned on automatically every time it was opened and trackpad hurt my hand/wrist wish it was bigger
I was wondering if you still have the laptop and would be willong to sell it, amazon is selling it for like 3k and i cant find any second hand

It's not bad. But the sharp edges of the stand does get uncomfortable
Should i get this or the flow x13 or x16?? Mostly for content creation
For me personally I would say the x16 because I like a bigger screen for content creation
@@consumertechwarehouse ok thank you!
All of that aluminum will help to keep this compressed best cool.
The Asus fow laptops are going in the right direction. The X flow 16 2023 is good.
This tablet is the equivalent of a pair of Oakley's from the late 90's.
the question is can architects run heavy 3D modelling softwares on it?
Yes, you could run all the autodesk applications on this with no problem, and has plenty of ram for it.

It's great for gaming. It's not the most powerful but it's one of the best portable gaming devices out there
Great coverage....no my cup of tea 🙂
Lol. Definitely not for everyone. Still appreciate the view and comment
How to switch on the keyboard backlight?
did you find an answer for that because i am actually searching for it too.
Bring it to the bars Friday and Saturday night. You might not have to choke your chicken.
more durable i guess, looks like those 'hiking' phones
This has become my main computer for everywhere and everything.
I absolutely loved this thing
@@consumertechwarehouse same. I believe this is a revolutionary device.

If it was $1,250.00 and $999.00 on sale
You keep saying laptop. It is a tablet.
true its a tablet w gaming laptop spec, and a keyboard
$2,599.00 is overpriced
Others are showing better performance numbers than you.
Probably settings. I usually test on the highest settings possible
It’s not a laptop it’s a tablet form factor
