Holy crap I want this thing. The aesthetics and the price are a bit much for me, but the functionality is exactly what I would want in a portable computer.
Don't buy it I bought it, and within 1 hour it broke. Returned it and they fixed it. Upon return they never included the keyboard. ASUS is not selling replacement parts for this unit. I spent close to $3k on this unit with no keyboard. They advise find an alternative unit.

I dont do gaming, but it is very versatile for my work it handles heavy software such, autocad, solidworks, virtual machines and no lag. i am currently using this laptop as i type this comment. i love everything except for the keyboard. If you hook up a wireless m&k setup to a USB splitter it is VERY close to a desktop replacement. This review is spot on. Great video!
For me the design is phenomenal, a blinding beacon amidst the grey Macbook clones of the last five years that all look the same, converging towards a square with rounded edges.
I was definitely interested, but for some reason retailers here in France have decided to sell it for 1k more than the price announced by Asus and Acronym..
I know it's the super decked out extreme expensive version but I really prefer the design of the normal version this one looks almost like a engineering sample

The lightest 4070 laptop in the world I'm sure at just 1.1kg and doubles as the most powerful tablet EVER. FOR $2500 - £2000 that's really not that bad
I was considering to buy this, or getting the new zephyrs. But I think i'm leaning towards this one, especially with the perks, the portability. My only concern would be thermals considering this is a 4070 on a tablet.
the thermals on this laptop is really good cuz it's different from the traditional laptop design which gets air in from the below, it would be maximizing at 75 degrees in the most demanding games i think the only concern for this laptop I think is the battery life, the i9 is just not as efficient as the amd zen4 processors... but if you don't care about this then you should go for it otherwise, just wait for the flow x13 with 7940hs

Or is it merely the principle of the matter, like you're paying x-amount of money and so expect a certain level of battery life associated to that price tag?
@@rikaze thing is, you get to school for example, you whip up your laptop and you start doing your stuff, getting to a wall outlet normally means either being where a lot of other people are or going somewhere where there isn't a table or a chair for example in a corridor. Now also you get to school and you forgot to put your laptop to charge, the better battery life it has the bigger probability of it still having some juice before you have to plug it in and also nobody likes a hot laptop wired in sitting on their laps😂

As an engineering student, I want, ultimately workshop computer, scratch it, oh well, back on the Cnc it goes for another end mill pass 😅. Kinda funny as well, use a ROG strix atm but bought a iPad for class as lugging the the thing around was a pain, this honestly serves every purpose in one.
A practical question is how sturdy is this thing? By carrying it around, there would be inevitable bumps here and there. It's not a Tough book for sure.
Tech + Techwear… really fascinating. the only thing sad is there is no tripod hole. such kinda people willing to buy that are usually working in creative industry, And many of them have cameras, photo studios, or sometimes outdoor activities. if 1/4” tripod hole was in it many more would have been bought it. I was going to pre order the Flow X13 GV302 when that comes out, but seeing this one being on pre-order and having basically everything the Flow X13 has AND has thunderbolt 4 and a higher wattage 4070, I am getting this one instead. Update: due to hearing the horrors of Amazon pre orders and due to time constraints, I decided to cancel the order.
ive watched this review so many times.....on my RMT02 lol no idea why. but this device is awesome! it was worth every dollar. i look forward to the next collab with ACRNYM. i doubt they will ever be able to top this. the RMT01 was good but this was better. the strix will probably be in their sites next, though excited to see it, i prefer my FLOW 13 version.

Intel CPU and Nvidia 4070....not looking good for heat, fan noise, and battery life. 😅 How are those measures? How is the screen response time? Hopefully not much ghosting.
As an owner of old model i will say don't get fooled by the looks this thing will have horrible 3 hour everyday use battery life 💩 And no it won't change for better this year especially with upgraded components
It gives me like 5 hours on battery in silent mode which I find even more performant than performance mode on my x1 carbon i7-1280p. I paired it up with with Baseus 100W power bank so I can have now up to 10 hours away from a socket. Fine enough for that kind of specs in such a small package.
Almost every gaming laptop with those specs gets that kind of battery life. I've had to tier spec alienware msi rog and every one of them barley hits 3. Gaming laptops are basically portable desktops. They're ment to ne plugged in for the most part
Yeah that price tag needs to come with a bad pack and a definitely better off carry strap. At this point I feel I am paying more for a brand than an actual experience. They designed the sling with functionality in mind with another jacket in the acronym line where the laptop sits inside the back of a jacket, many ppl will be annoyed by this and assume its just company wanting you to buy new big thing but all acronym products are designed this way to be interactable with one another so its probably not for everyone

Yes, the price has gone up. Last week Media Markt and Saturn in Germany offered 16% discount on everything. So it was for 2,700 euros. I bought one through my company.

Wish they had used the money wasted on designing this gimmick to develop something actually useful like an egpu housing for normal gpu using that xg-mobile port
It really sucks that you HAVE to get this imo, horrible looking version, to get the 4070. Adding giant corners that aren’t removable makes the 13” tablet the size of a 15” notebook, killing its sole purpose. Also, changing the kickstand only contact the ground at 2 points means using it on your lap is going to be a worse experience too

It seems to keep from burning up, but I haven't necessarily pushed it too hard aside from rendering videos

This is actually cool because the keyboard won't get hot. Thermals are the same as other laptops with similar specs

Do not ever pull the keyboard off like that. You'll damage the ribbon cable and good luck finding a replacement ACRNM keyboard.

the desktop PC would be much faster, but this is for portability and form factor.
A gaming laptop is way more powerful but this is more of tablet

its metal because it has a 4070ti, the case itself is a thermal heatsink for the oversized gpu.
