I'm not sure how they presented it in the movie, but the idea of being scared of the Spanish language itself (and not the culture or people) is funny to me. Like if he was scared of anyone who took Spanish class in school.

Actually, the scene goes that Fred asks the Hispanic man for help, but he can't speak English. This causes Fred to think he's a spaceman who's trying to ruin his brain and he freaks out and runs away screaming.

I was the opposite. My father wanted me to watch them and even taped me down to view them a la A Clockwork Orange because he wanted me to be the kind of kid everyone hated.

This movie could have been great if he started out being normal and we get to see him slowly go insane and develop the "Fred" personality we all know
I remember being a little kid trying to watch a Fred video, and my mom recognized it (I had my headphones in, but she somehow knew what it was), and told me "I don't want you watching him."
So I was banned from watching Fred. Probably a good thing though, my mom saved me from this cringe.

There’s no shame in enjoying garbage when you’re young. I’ve enjoyed my fair share of terrible movies as a kid and still get nostalgic when I watch them, no matter how bad they are.
I refuse to believe this movie is not amazing, which is why I'll never rewatch it.

I remember every Friday they would show this movie on Nickelodeon and I always watched it even though it was bad.
I almost forgot that Fred had three TV movies for Nickelodeon (The first still had that Cinematic Quality) and a Television show.
Fred was a god tier film. The Fred movie had more lore than any video game I’ve ever played. It is more in depth than a legend of Zelda game. The Fred movie was a leagues above The Godfather.
Can we just appreciate this comment due to how satirical it is?

TH-camr movies can be used for torture, they either felt like a comedy sketch stretched out into a movie or a series of sketches combined into one. Both equally painful to watch, and since this is Fred, painful to hear too.

I watched this when I was 10 and it was so not memorable I forgot who Fred was until a week ago
As a gen z teen, this is not our humor. our humor is chaotic but we don't just laugh at anything. Part of our thing is being really mature for our age/growing up too fast, this is appealing to five year olds (who'd be gen alpha)
I remember when this aired on Nick; I was like, "No. I'm out." I thought Fred was funny BITD and can stand some of his older videos, but by the time this came out, I had grown out of Fred.

I love His TH-cam now. He’s really funny. He talks about how he had to see specialist from doing the voice for so long.
at the time I didn't watch WWE so I thought they just hired some random Ex-Marine or something to play Fred's dad.
This movie is the definition of cringe culture, and I oddly sort of enjoy it.
When I was a kid, I loved this movie. My best friend and I would watch it everytime she slept over. We actually would have “Fred parties” like at the end of the movie. Good times
The beginning of this video threw me back down memory lane, holy shit. 2009 was the year where I was finally becoming more active on the internet. My English was very basic at the time and I was only 10. I don't remember how I stumbled upon Fяed (and the Annoying Orange, but we don't talk about that) on TH-cam, and I barely understood what they were saying, but their ultra simplistic, monke humor drew me in at the time. They both got stale for me really quickly though, because their content wasn't exactly diverse - but it's kind of nostalgic to see other people say that this was their gateway to the TH-cam universe.

I think I actually saw this movie when I was younger. Back then I thought it was the dumbest comedy ever. I didn't realize it was based on a youtuber. Heck, I didn't even know youtube existed back then.

The Fred Movie in my eyes is really ahead of its time when it comes to portraying the current TH-cam family humor, overexaggerated reactions, confusing pacing, annoying in general, forced humor, etc. But that itself is the beauty of the movie when it was released, I can imagine people at the time enjoying this like it's a TH-cam video.

My review: Fred, a squeaky toy brought to life, becomes a simp for someone he doesn't even know with Splatoon 2 music occasionally playing in the background. (yes, that last part is important because they're all bops lol)

When I was a young a child I picked this movie for family movie night. They were not pleased
The first movie always gave me fever dream vibes, henceforth I try to avoid it at all times

As a kid, I felt like the movie dragged on without much plot so personally I didn't like to rewatch it but I loved the sequel with the vampire boyfriend. In my opinion, it's way better than the first or third film. It was really the only one I liked to watch more than once.
But omg all this time I thought Fred's voice was real and now hearing the actor's real voice is like WOW

If you set all your pride aside, open your heart and mind, and really let yourself enjoy this film it becomes a fun-filled easy giggle joyride that is just a blast to watch. I watch the Fred films for the same reason I watch good burger so often. It’s just simple childlike laughs and if you watch this movie with friends it gets even better. I genuinely don’t care if the movie is bad, I will always love the original fred movie and it will always be in my top 10.
Fuck the second one though Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred is so insanely shit it’s the worst movie ever made i projectile vomit whenever I see that shit fuck that film it’s a tragedy and an insult to the name Fred Figglehorn.

I'd heard about Fred on an episode of "iCarly" and decided to look up his TH-cam channel. The more I watched the videos, the more I wanted the character to go away. Then for some fool reason, I watched the movie. It only cemented my hatred for the character even further. Guess that's what happens when you're not in the intended demographic. And Bertha was woefully underused. I'd expected more scenes of her friendship with Fred to make the whole disinviting her more of an impact.
For some strange reason I couldn't focus on the movie, and instead on the splatoon 2 music :eyes:
